Finally found a food truck in Triangle NC.
    Jake V.

Finally found a halal food truck in the Triangle: in Morrisville, NC to be precise, next to a Mobil gas station, JB Biryani, and a few other small businesses. The food truck wasn't very visible when we passed by Chapel Hill Rd., but thanks to Google Maps, we were able to locate this hidden gem, and it turned out to be one of our the best food discoveries in 2025. The first time we tried a halal food truck was in New York City back in August 2023, and the delicious lamb & chicken with rice surprised our taste buds. Since then, I'd been craving for a halal food truck in the Triangle area of NC, and my wish came true. Tasty Halal Eats captures the authentic halal flavors in its chicken & lamb combo, which comes with yellow rice, lettuce, tomatoes, green chiles, hot sauce & white sauce. I only ordered 1 $12+ chicken & lamb combo for me & my girl to share at home, and I wish I ordered more after we tasted it. The chicken & lamb meat were cut in small pieces & mixed well with the spiced rice & other ingredients to create a stunning halal experience. It was served in a small styrofoam takeout box, about the same size as the one we tried in NYC. When I went to order, the server named Mohamed asked to wait for them to cook fresh meat. I parked right across the Mobil gas station close to it, and I waited in the winter cold while I noticed other customers pick up food. They probably ordered by phone in advance. It's a food truck but I wish there were outdoor seats & tables outside. Tasty Halal is clearly made for a takeout experience. After 10 min. of waiting, my food was ready, and Mohamed asked if I want hot sauce, and I said, "Yes, please", to which he responded by pouring the hot sauce from a sauce bottle over my food. I asked how long they've been in business, and he said, a year. It's nice to see that Tasty Halal also does catering, as shown on its black food truck with flame designs. The menu looks clear with photos on the food truck, and they also serve non-halal foods like zinger chicken burger and chicken tenders. I paid in cash and left a tip in their jar. My girl & I devoured the 1 chicken & lamb combo, and I told her that we will order 2 next time, and trust me, there will be a bunch of next times. I also told my mom, whom we've experienced halal food in NYC with, about this food truck, so we will likely share an updated review with her reaction in the near future. I'm thankful that we no longer have to travel to NY to experience authentic halal street food. It's already here in the Triangle, NC.

    combo over rice

If you love the halal food trucks in New York and Charlotte you'll be very happy to hear we have one here now. The classic combo (chicken and lamb) over rice is 11.99 and very delicious. The meat is seasoned well and he gives a great amount of white sauce and hot sauce if you want it. The food was priced well, hot, flavorful, and even tasted amazing later on. The truck is located at a gas station across from trader joe's in Morrisville and I was VERY surprised to no line here because the food was good and portions were big. The chicken kabob was good as well and if you don't eat meat there is falafel options! The man in the truck is extremely kind and quick with the orders.

This is a nice Halal food truck opened recently behind the Mobil gas station. They have a good variety of options, gyros, lamb or chicken over rice, kababs, burger, wings. They make a good attempt at bringing a taste of New York here in NC. Don't expect any sitting area, just grab your food and go. Sometimes the service can be a little slow depending on the time of day and the crowd. I had the chicken/lamb combo over rice (comes with a little bit of salad) Quantity was great! The lamb tasted nice, mild spices. And freshly cooked. The chicken was a bit heavy on the spices. The rice was cooked nicely, but also more seasoned than your traditional New York halal cart food. The red sauce was definitely not super spicy, and the white sauce was lacking flavor. Prices are a little on the higher side, but they make up for it with the quantity. I will be looking forward to trying other items on the menu. This is a great addition to the area!

This was a tasty place to get takeout! It reminds me of a food truck that's awesome for a lunch break because it runs out of a food truck parked at a gas station with great food. For the price, I give it 5 stars because it is great value and I appreciate them offering to put the spicy sauce on the side because it has a kick to it! My partner got lamb over rice and said it was really good. I got the falafel over rice and their falafel was really good! They made them look like little burger patties and the texture kind of resembles a burger patty, but more falafel if that makes sense? We both agreed the food was good and the price was great, I think if their white sauce had more depth to it, it would make it perfect for me because all the flavors otherwise work well together! It was reasonable quick too!

Bad service, found olives pits in food after complaining about delaying food for more than an hour. They did it on purpose.

Their offerings are truly unique compared to other ice cream and dessert spots around here. Everything is consistently high quality, and you can really taste the authenticity in their desserts. The flavors remind me of true Indian faloodas, chuski, and golas, and the hygiene and cleanliness are unmatched. The whole setup is very well managed, from the efficient ordering process to the pager system. We've had a great experience every single time. Today we tried the kulfi falooda, and it was hands down the best item yet. The rose kulfi falooda is also a must-try. Even the mango kulfi on its own was excellent, especially with the added toppings that elevate the flavor. Really glad to have them as part of our community. Hope they continue to thrive and keep up the consistency. Highly recommend!

Gola -- that classic Indian crushed ice treat -- is served here with a fun twist. We tried the Nutty Treat, which leaned more towards the classic crushed ice style, and Royal Rajwadi, which felt more like smooth, shaved ice. Both were flavorful in their own way. The best part? You can tweak the flavors as per your taste -- more sweet, tangy, or even spicy! Perfect for a post-dinner chill or to beat the heat with some desi vibes. Clean setup, quick service, and full-on nostalgia in every bite.

I certainly did not regret my decision to join the masses, the food here was solid and definitely affordable. Andhra 2 America tends to focus on street food rather than curries that you would find at the many other Indian spots in the area. If you are in the mood for a good dosa, this is the place to be! I had the Madhurai Malli Dosa, which had the potato filling but also coriander paste. It came with 3 different sauces, all of which were delicious. The dosa itself was fantastic, it was soft and flakey and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly, it had plenty of spice to it! I would say the dosas are the highlight of Andhra 2 America. When you spend some time hanging out by the truck, you will see families with plates of dosas, it seems to be their specialty! However, this isn't the only thing they sell. Their chicken manchuria is like a super awesome sauced nugget. It has some heat, but lots of other savory and bold flavors to it. The veggie noodles are a good option for something with less sting to it. I would say it teeters on the verge of being bland, but gives your meal some variety. The double egg and chicken fried rice is a step in the Chinese direction of food, with Indian flavors with Chinese techniques. A solid option for sure. If you are like me and are intimidated to navigate into this spot, fear not! The only entrance is along Davis Drive Rd. But once you are in, you are going to be treated to some pretty great food. Don't forget to warm up your palate with their complimentary Chai, it is part of the experience!

The dosa came with exactly three microscopic droplets of cold sambar, which I can only assume were applied with an eyedropper for "aesthetic purposes." Flavor? Nonexistent. The muska bun was basically Wonder Bread that had a 10-second speed date with a microwave and then got ghosted by real butter. And the noodles, despite my request for mild, were so spicy they could've powered a rocket to Mars. My family had one bite, wept silently, and then performed a ceremonial dumping of the entire dish into the trash. The wait time was its own special form of punishment. By the time our food was ready, I felt like I had aged a decade. Honestly, if I had hopped a plane to Chennai, ordered the same items, and flown back, I might have beaten their "fast" service. And let's not forget the ambiance: standing roadside, balancing sad food on paper plates, fighting off mosquitoes like I was in a wildlife documentary, all while paying almost restaurant prices. Truly, a luxury experience. For a couple dollars more, I'd happily choose an actual restaurant where chairs, roofs, and hot edible food are part of the package deal. This was my first and last visit, not just to this truck, but to any Indian food truck in the area. I came hungry, I left hungrier, and I now have trust issues.
