I've driven by MoJoe's for several years since moving to Raleigh and kept saying "oh we should try it at some point".... We finally checked it out and now it's in the rotation for really good burgers! Idk why I waited so long to get here, by now that I know and I want everyone else to too. There is a parking lot next to the building - they will tow you if you park there and don't go into the restaurant though. So don't wander away. Sometimes they have a greeter, sometimes it's a seat yourself situation. Service is quick, the menu is large without being overwhelming, and the most important part: the food is good. I always get a classic, all the fixings, and fries. I also always bribe my husband to get the onion rings with his food and then we swap a little. Have always heard good things about this place so finally decided to try it out. The wait for seating was maybe 2 seconds which was amazing. The service was good and attentive. And the menu had a good variety of things that would make me want to come back and try. Also the vibes were good it seems like a good place to watch a game. To start off the meal we ordered some fried pickles as an appetizer and I loved them. They were just the right amount of crunchy and flavorful. The crinkle cut fries are a sleeper in the industry and if you do them right they are great and adding a dipping sauce is the way to go. Now onto the burger I got a smash burger with lettuce Moe joe sauce and cheese. It was a very solid burger! On my one bite score I gave it a 7.7 which is a very good score. The bun was hit or miss. For the other two burgers that had more toppings on them the bottom bun quickly got soggy. For mine it was fine the whole time. The main downside for me was the service. During our visit, staff didn't really circulate to check on tables. I ended up sitting with an empty water for most of the meal and had to track someone down for anything extra, which took away from the experience. Still, the burgers carry this place. The fam was in the mood for some good, no-frills burgers and fries, so we ventured into downtown Raleigh to check out MoJoe's. This divey little burger joint offers both indoor and outdoor seating, along with a small parking lot and street parking where available. We went straight for the good stuff and ordered the Carnivore that has cheddar cheese, bacon, and chili, along with the Inferno which comes with pepper jack cheese, Cajun spice, grilled jalapeños, and grilled onions. You can also build your own burger anyway you like. From this burger-loving family, MoJoe's definitely passes the burger test. They were exactly what we were hoping for, and I must say the onion rings and fries were stars of their own show. I love a good onion ring, and these guys do theirs right. They stay busy, and it looked like both the staff and kitchen were getting a little overloaded, so food took a bit longer than expected to come out. Honestly though, that doesn't gripe me too much. It's not huge on the inside, but the food is the star and we easily found a seat for 2 on a Friday night! Service is simple, kind, and to the point which I can appreciate as well. We did have to park in a lot nearby with a very short walk, but seems street parking and lots are the main options. Now on to what you're here for: the food! Drinks were pretty good for that dive bar feel. Simple options but also really fun and creative cocktails which I love. We enjoyed two holiday special cocktails: 1. Pomegranate Ranch Water 7/10: very simple, def could have had a bit more of a pomegranate flavor to make it a 10 for me. 2. The Cheermeister's Sour 9/10: my favorite of the two! Great sour taste which complemented the whiskey perfectly in case you aren't a huge whiskey lover. Food: * BYOB - Beef: 10/10: no notes. Delicious and the buns were so soft but not very sweet which I loved! A solid burger all around and very juicy & seasoned throughout * MoJoe's Famous Wings: 8/10: flavor was amazing, great ranch (iykyk), and super hot coming out! My only reason for docking points was because of the wing size. First time trying MoJoes, downtown Raleigh!. The waitress asked, "how long have you lived here"? All of the 24 years it has been open, was my response. I had a 6oz bacon burger with fries. My husband ordered the southwestern chix sandwich with grilled peppers and avocado. His side was home made onion rings which he loved. I had 1/2 order of krinkle fries. This is a happening place. Lots of seating choices both indoors and either covered patio or umbrella. We opted for the indoor bar. Didn't have the beer, but based on reviews, I had to try the Veggie Burger which was excellent. Sticking with veggies, I also ordered the O-rings to share (my justification) which were also decent. The menu gives you a choice of either build a burger or go with their suggested combos. I chose the complements which came with my burger which was not extra. It can add up if you have specific condiments you must have. Your custom order is served hot and fresh, hence the slight wait. The service here is attentive and friendly. Onion rings: These were delicious and came with the spicy MoJoe's sauce. Fruity pebbles milkshake: Probably the best part of the meal. Staff were average nice, but quite busy and rushed. Parking: Do I need to say more than good luck given it's in Glenwood South? There are about 10 spots right in their lot, but everything was taken (at 4pm on a Saturday). For two of us we paid $32.82 including taxes and tip for lunch. Our order was my regular the Bleu burger, a build your own single bacon and cheddar burger, an unsweet iced tea, and a side of tater tots. I am puzzled how I dont have a review for them arleady submitted but it seems not. It has been a regular for us since, I think, 2023 so I failed to take pictures; sorry about that. MoeJoe's is located at the corner of Peace Street and Glenwood avenue in downtown Raleigh. MoeJoe's has its own parking lot. However, coming as we were southbound on Glenwood the left turn directly into the parking lot from the far lane is awkward to impossible because of the heavy traffic. What we do is go around the block so we come up with MoeJoe's immediately on the right while we are in the right lane. The parking lot is small so you may have to park on the street which can sometimes be a challenge. Parking was easy today. We parked in their lot right up front. There is a sign as you walk in asking you to seat yourself. If someone is available they will help seat you. MoeJoe's has limited seating inside that is air conditioned but plenty of seating outside that is covered in overhead fans and that is where we sat today. It was a bit warm but it was comfortable. Someone promptly took our drink order while we considered options. Then they took our order.When the food arrived it was piping hot! I love blue cheese and what i really appreciate is that the blue cheese is strongly present on the burger. The bacon is excellent quality. The bun is good quality too, The unsweet iced tea has good flavor especially with the lemon. When they forgot the lemon they immediately ran back to get it without reminding. The tater tots, which are a memory from childhood, are crisp and flavorful. When it came time to get the bill, they just brought it to the table, where i put my card on it. Then another staffer came by with a handheld device and checked me out on the spot. I asked for a receipt and a 3rd staffer brought me the receipt. Do not underestimate the value of those handheld devices to the whole service experience especially when leaving. Excellent staff and consistent kitchen. read more

For three sliders (special menu), two whiskey drinks ($1 of whiskey drinks), crinkle cut fries , two added sauces (I didn't know sauces were a few extra cents) - you pay a little less than $40. An easy walk from the Cigar lounge - this gem is tucked away! Lots of outdoor and indoor seating. The wait staff was amazing! They greeted us upon entry. I came by on a Sunday night for the Hall of Fame challenge. Now I've tried 5 pound burger challenges before, so a 1 pounder wasn't exactly intimidating to me. Going inside, there's a dive bar feeling, the point of the atmosphere is to be casual and welcoming. Plenty of outside seating is available too. The burger was cooked solid, just a little pink and juicy. The toppings were good quality, the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. The only thing I would've done differently is to warm up the roll; this one was room temp and I think warming it up would've helped. But the Mojoe's sauce is really good, I'm going to have to get that with some onion rings one of these days! The staff was quite friendly, they kept my water and iced tea cups full, though I was a little surprised they use styrofoam. The tea was freshly brewed too, that's important. I also drank an orange crush cocktail after my burger and I appreciate that they used fresh juice. It may not have been quite as good as the ones I've enjoyed in Virginia Beach, I thought it was a little too sweet, but it was still fine. read more

My family ate here last weekend we got the build your own burgers ,sweet potato fries (OUTSTANDING!) Truffle Fries( Phenomenal!) I would put these truffle fries against any Gordon Ramsay fries that I've had in Las Vegas. Now the best for last.... The burgers were absolutely amazing and now at the top of Mount Everest, the best burger I think I've ever had in my entire life and absolute must go eat if you're in town and if you're local, you're probably going to gain a lot of weight because the food is terrific.!!!! Been coming here for years. Food is great, staff is great. Ambiance is awesome. BUT. We came here this time and were waiting for our table. A guy bought in a cute dog. But we noticed 3 wait staff come over rubbing the dog. Now , we saw one go straight to a table grab the ladies cup to give her a refill. Not sure if the other 2 staff washed their hands or not. But this one did not. We left before being seated. We have a dog and love him and have also taken him there with us. But maybe staff just not play with pets??
