Was nearby at Cooper's Hawk and saw this place. Not sure if it's been here this whole time, but decided to give it a try. I placed an order online for the chicken platter and it was ready when I arrived. I found it was clean inside and the employee I engaged with was friendly. I enjoyed my food, which included a side salad and white and seasoned rice. I liked the sauces that came with the meal. I would order from here again but won't say it's the best kabob I've had. read more

I like coming here because the food is good and I understand food costs are ridiculous, but $30 for a combo kebab is pretty crazy. I used to think the value was good here, but not anymore. I got the koobideh and chicken combo which you get 1 skewer of each; thought it was 3 skewers total which maybe I could justify. I also ordered a small side of spinach which is outstanding here. I'll have to find another kebab place in the area b/c $30 is outrageous. Granted, its enough for 2 people to share especially since you get rice, salad, and bread, but who shares lol? read more

This is a cute little restaurant tucked away behind Chick Fila, a little sterile in decor and design, more like a cafeteria vibe. The service is self-serve, order upfront or on an electronic kiosk. I had gotten a beef kabob. Honestly it was a bit too much to work for with the meat, not as tender or juicy as I would've liked for hoped for. Flavor was good/decent could've used a bit more. The sauce was a "spicy" green sauce but it didn't really have any kick at all and could've been more spicy. The rice was normal, however, there was some rice that was overcooked or stale? But overall it's rice, pretty standard. The naan was good, fluffy and crunchy. The chicken was juicy, the kobeeda has the ideal firm texture I like in this type of kabob while still juicy and fragrant with spices. The salad remained fresh through the ride home. The green sauce is a little bit too tart for me so I used it in moderation. The white sauce, a yogurt based sauce with herbs and spices, was delicious! The bread was fresh. For gyros they are just average, very overpriced for a gyro. I have been here a couple of times after wine tasting at Cooper's Hawk next door and after working out at One Life also next door. Every time I've been here the meat has been dry in their gyros the platters are so bread heavy or rice heavy. The fountain drinks are not as fizzy as they are in most places. They charge extra for sauce on the side. The water cups are small and flimsy. Their drink selections are nothing special. The best drink they have is the mango lassi-like drink and it's not that great, and very small. Ambiance: the chairs and tables are metal and sterile. Very cold and uncomfortable. The layout of the seating is heavily missing feng shui. Service: every time I've been here people have had a hard time hearing their order being called. They call for your order at the back of the restaurant and based on how the restaurant is situated it has a really bad echo making it impossible to audibly hear the staff call your order. The microphone either doesn't work, they never use it, or they don't have one because they're always trying to call out the orders from the back. I've been here so many times with friends and every time we have not been impressed. If I get word that the place improves, I would give it a second chance, but honestly given the price and lack of pizazz, I rather just leave this place to it's regulars and customers that enjoy the place. Wow. Food is absolutely delicious. Had the chicken and beef kabob combination. It included 2 types of rice, a super fresh salad, a chick peas side and 2 sauces - a tahini type sauce and a phenomenal green chutney sauce. The chicken is outstanding. Not a typical Lebanese style flavor, but just absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked. Beef kabobs also excellent especially with the green chutney sauce which is slightly spicy. Unlike anything I've had before. The restaurant appears to be new... spotlessly clean, and the staff were fast and friendly. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back. read more

It's always a good thing when a chain/franchise/business has the same taste across all of its locations. GK opened 1 right off the highway here. The sauces, chicken, and rice were all on point (they all taste like the Tysons location). 4.5 Stars- Service was a tad on the slow side on a weekday lunch: they got my friends gyro order right away, but the chicken kabob took about 15-20 min to get, and I get it, they just opened, but then why was one meat so much quicker than the other? read more

What do you do if you are not in the mood for burgers or pizza? What if you don't feel like cooking and it is a Sunday night? You head on over to Grill Kabob. I had my fingers and toes crossed that they would still be open, at 7 pm on a Sunday evening. I drove into the shopping center and low and behold, Grill Kabob was open and packed full of customers. It is new, clean, and attractive. I waited in line and saw the two employees in the back hustling to serve the crowded restaurant. I love the flavor of grilled chicken and the chicken kabobs were moist and tender. The grilled flavor made it taste delicious. The chicken comes on a huge bed of tasty rice. There is a fresh salad and chickpeas in a curry sauce. I was so satisfied and full. You also get freshly made naan with your order. I also ordered hummus, as an appetizer. It was okay, nothing special. I prefer a thicker hummus with more flavor of a tzadiki-garlic taste. I loved my meal. It was really cooked well and generous portions. I still have some rice and chicken for tonight. I did have to wait awhile....but, it was worth the wait. The service was excellent and next time, I am going to try the lamb combination platter. 2nd visit - was fair to average when I stopped by to pick up a gyro salad platter. The meat was cold and sort of hard and dry as if it was reheated in the microwave and not as fresh. It was not consistent with the sandwich I had on my first visit when it was warm juicy and tasty. The platter comes with the large bread, iceberg lettuce salad, and a small side of chick pea curry. It was underwhelming for $15. The person serving wasn't so friendly. She put my receipt on the register and walked away and called me to the other end for my food. If I give this place another try, I will stick to the freshly grilled meats. read more

Grill Kabob is a family owned business, that offers deliciously marinated grilled meats as well as tasty vegetarian options. I love getting the platter cuz you get the option of two types of meat with salad and soft fluffy white and brown basmati rice, a side of chickpeas and naan bread. If you don't like chickpeas, the option to substitute it with another side is possible. You definitely need to get a side of hummus to dip the naan. Featured here is my fave Lamb and chicken combo platter. My friends got the salmon platter and the chicken and beef platter. For vegetarians- I recommend the falafel salad and the spicy veggie samosas! The fries were delicious too! Pro tip : Get extra green chutney sauce! I love this cilantro spicy green chutney sauce that is housemade. The grilled meat is already great but with this chutney sauce it just enhances the whole taste and experience . Grill Kebab seems to have a lot of stores in the DMV area, but this is the first location I've gone to. It's tucked away in the large new center at Research Boulevard, and next to OneLife Fitness. I'm always on the look out for great kebab places, and this one is sooo awesome. Slightly expensive but so worth it for the amount you get. I've tried the beef variation but definitely prefer the double chicken combo platter. I usually get double chicken to spread throughout various meals or to share with family. But there's so much food that a single chicken platter would fill you up! The combo comes with two types of rice, side of bread, chickpea curry, salad, and two types of sauce , a yogurt sauce and a spicy green sauce. The chicken kebab is soooo juicy, most places usually use breast or overcook the chicken. Highly recommend this place! read more
