I ordered the combo. The meat was very tender, and the rice was fragrant. It wasn't too salty or greasy - really delicious.

Naz's Halal Food was one of those places I wanted to love because I had a serious craving for a…read moregyro that day, but unfortunately the authenticity just wasn't there for me. It's a pretty small spot with a simple menu -- mainly lamb and chicken gyros and bowls. I vaguely remember trying a bowl before, so this time I went with the gyro and ordered extra lamb and extra sauce. I assumed the sauce was going to be traditional tzatziki, but they actually make their own sauces and I honestly wasn't very impressed by them. To their credit and great service, they definitely did not skimp on the meat because they loaded the gyro up, but honestly I probably could've gone without the extra lamb. The whole thing ended up being super messy and hard to hold together, to the point where I eventually just ate it with a fork. Overall, the taste was just a miss for me and didn't satisfy the authentic gyro craving I was hoping for. I wanted to enjoy it way more than I actually did, but I'll probably pass on coming back.

There are multiple entrée options, along with a few desserts. We ordered the chicken platter, fries, and the baklava cheesecake. The chicken platter came with a small portion of salad, rice, red chicken pieces, and a green sauce (other sauce options include white, hot, and BBQ). Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor overall--aside from the sauce, it was pretty bland. We didn't finish our meal and ended up discarding the leftovers. The fries were hot, which is always a plus, but they were the extruded style, which we're not fans of. The baklava cheesecake was an interesting concept, with layers of phyllo dough, cheesecake, and what tasted like plain vanilla cake, but it wasn't something we felt was worth finishing either. That said, there was a steady stream of customers while we were there, so clearly the food appeals to many people--just not to us. We won't be returning.

The spicing in it reminded me of kebab style spice. I also envisioned only pumpkin in it but it had other diced peppers/ veggies in it. The dough wasn't my favorite but was decent and that filling was so delicious. The dumpling's hot temperature was so comforting on a cold night. The spice sauce that came with the dumplings was delicious and spicy. It was like a chinese chili crisp sauce but with vinegar/ citrus flavor in it. I got teared up a tad from the spice sauce, it had good spice! I also tried the eggplant salad which came with hot fried eggplant in a soy-olive oil- ginger-garlic sauce with scallions, tomatoes, and cilantro A little salty/ heavy on soy sauce but really interesting and delicious regardless. I enjoyed looking at the Uyghur art and decor at the restaurant. This was one of my two first times trying Uyghur food. The other was at Dolan Uyghur in DC where I had laghman noodles and Korma Chop. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

The North Bethesda location is definitely second to none in the JINYA pecking order ( No shade to the DC location ) The ambiance and outside atmosphere takes this location to another level !!! Now let's be honest... the spicy chicken Ramen with broccoli added tipped my tastebuds over board and left me enjoying the spicy broth once all the noodles were gone. This is hands down the best Ramen ( noodles ) presentation and flavored filled dishes you could get on this side of the equator ( And YES I have tasted Ramen from other entities up and down the east coast ) And to my surprise... their non-alcoholic beverages were extremely tasty ( and advertised very well by the server ) Perfect location... Perfectly blended drinks and out of this world Ramen dish !!! See for yourself

Well the day finally came when hubs was picking me up & we had time to kill before our evening plans. I had mentioned this place several times while driving past it & we decided to make a stop. It's basically a take out place with some fast food restaurant style booths. You place your order, you pay, and you wait for ur food to be prepped. Unfortunately this was a let down. His burger was sad, looked like someone had worked out their aggression on it. Seriously, I've never seen any burger & bun that flattened. It was my mistake, I was excited because of the description (it contained lamb) but wasn't anywhere close to the Greek burger we get in VA, I'm not sure it was even up the fast food level, although it was definitely in competition for flatness. My dish was composed a lot of very dry meat. I'm no longer considering a stop as I drive.

It's pretty tight quarters. I really enjoyed my falafel pita. They give you a ton of choices to put in the pita and they were very tasty. The falafel was really good too. The kid who was with me had never had falafel, but he really enjoyed it. I would definitely go back to grab a bite. I'm not sure how often this happens, but a guy who apparently works there was holding a clipboard and looked to be drawing something on it. He looked at me a couple times and then walked over. He was doodling a picture of me. It was pretty funny. I'm going to keep it.

Two or three of the dishes that contained beef tasted off, almost as if the meat was old or not in good condition. Since we were sharing the dishes among four adults, the plates were already finished by the time everyone tried them. We informed the staff that something was wrong with the food, but the only response we received was that they checked the date on the meat. As many people know, meat can still spoil even if it is technically within the date. I left feeling very disappointed and even had a stomachache afterward. Sadly, we will not be returning. What makes this more disappointing is that we visited years ago and the food quality and dishes were completely different. We came to celebrate a birthday, but instead left upset -- and we still had to pay for everything.

I've eaten here many times for years plus gotten take-out from here way way way more times than I have kept track of, and have tried many things on the menu. As a potato lover, I absolutely love the oven-roasted potatoes. For me, I would say they are better than the fries -- I only know this for sure because I finally ordered both at once, ha ha, and ended up unintentionally doing a side-by-side comparison. The fries are great! It's just that the roasted potatoes are even better! I enjoy the grilled eggplant, hummus with mushrooms, and would say the falafel is absolute perfection. Even my cousin who doesn't normally like falafel or hummus likes both of these things here. She said the falafel is cooked just right, being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I agree! Not only that, they look good, too! The shape, size, and colours outside and in are highly enticing .... This is a really nice place for a family gathering -- speaking of which, I can report on what I've heard my family members saying about foods I haven't tried, and the upshot is ... everything is wonderful! The staff are also very nice and caring, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Most importantly: you will not go hungry here! You will leave sated and satiated, having indulged in Middle Eastern or American culinary delights .... Highly recommended! :-D
