The main project was to replace more than two dozen rotting boards and the steps on our 20-year-old deck, ensure the structural integrity of the deck, and jack up a corner of the deck that had sunk a couple of inches. He also power-washed the deck and the siding of the house that faced the deck. We also needed work done indoors. He repaired a door frame to a bedroom, fixed a broken storm door, replaced marble tile in our foyer, installed a missing sliding closet door, and procured and installed beautiful luxury plank vinyl flooring for a bedroom. He communicated clearly with us throughout every project, made suggestions when he saw something that needed improvement, and always checked with us when a decision needed to be made. In every situation, he did high-quality work in a very timely fashion. He always arrived when he said he would, made sure that the times were convenient for us, and always left the work area clean and organized. I would also like to mention honestly that they did give is some discount and to which later they denied to give the same discount, the reason was that we postponed our dates twice and they changed on us one saying there was not enough people to come and do the work(understandable), they later asked us to pay $300 more towards the original discount offered. Multiple issues were evident after installation, and the work failed to meet basic industry and manufacturer guidelines. For the amount charged, we expected high-quality, competent workmanship. Instead, we received a poorly executed installation that will now require significant corrective repairs. In addition, our dishwasher was damaged during the course of the work. Hiring this contractor was a major mistake. Based on our experience, we are seriously considering filing a complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) and pursuing legal action. We deeply regret our decision to hire this contractor.
