    My first step when hiring a company for a major project is always to read reviews. We received…read morequotes from two different companies, and when this company came out, the representative explained that they have been serving Port St. Lucie for a long time and that the business is still independently owned rather than being sold to a larger corporation. That's something I really appreciate because it's becoming harder and harder to find locally owned companies these days. The only frustrating part of the process was getting an updated quote. We had waited too long, and the original estimate had expired. My husband called the office several times, and each time they had to take down all of his information again because it apparently had never been entered into the system. That seemed a bit unusual, as I would expect everyone to have access to the same customer information. After discussing our options with the salesman, we decided to move forward. The installation was scheduled just a few days later. We had both the inside and outside units replaced. The crew arrived around 9:00 a.m. and finished shortly after 2:00 p.m. One of the heater components that was delivered was incorrect, but we were informed that the technician would return with the correct part. The installers were friendly, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable. I chatted with them a few times throughout the day, and they worked efficiently to get everything completed. The installation also included a new thermostat, with the cost. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that our electric bill will drop significantly. Our old system seemed to run nonstop, and I'm hoping this new, more efficient unit will make a noticeable difference. With the energy savings, I'm optimistic that the investment will pay for itself within a few years.

All of them determined there is a huge leak in my evap coil, and I would need to get an entire new system for thousands of dollars. A/C Doctors was the only one to realise there was something else amiss, and to take the time and properly diagnose the issue. Turns out it was a plugged up valve. They fixed the valve for a fraction of the price of the other companies, and now my A/C is running ice cold. If you need help with your A/C but don't know who to call, this is it, this is the company you are looking for. Knowledgeable, communicative, no nonsense service. 4 other companies got it wrong. A/C Doctors got it right.

    This is our third scheduled maintenance since we moved to Vero Beach…read more I highly recommend them. Their Service Technicians are always on time, professional and knowledgeable. Today's tech was Zachary. He was superb. It was a pleasure having him in our home doing work. Again I recommend this company for many reasons- another being one of our neighbors had an A/C emergency. I called Air Docs late morning and they were able to get a technician out that day. WOW customer service is their name.

We set a date I took off that day and in the morning they call to postpone it, saying they have some more urgent call, no respect for my time. I asked them what if I have an emergency on my A/C they said they will be able to come that day but they will charge $89 for diagnostic. We set an appointment few days later. The technician came and told me that one of the unit need a new blow motor. I have a full labor and part warranty from the MFR. but they charge me diagnostic charge off $89 + $ 150 what they call "processing fee" which is a simple money grab. sound to me to me like a form of classic bait and switch technique.( they came the flowing week and change the motor it took the technician only 15 minutes sharp to replace the motor, they got $150 from the MFG as Josh told me + 150 +89 =$389.) As far as the 2nd unit it was working perfectly well before they "serviced it" 2 hours after the technician left the system shut down and I noticed that the pan below the system which was bone dry was full of water water the technician said that I need a new drain line which they will charge $1000, Called other companies and replacing a drain line run $500-$800. Turned out that the drain line didn't needed a replacement but just a correct opening the clog. I did pay them the $ 150 "grab money" but they called me already twice to pay it. Just remember when something look too good to be true it probably is. Don't fall for their $29/$39 bait.

I received a text and photo of technician Eric shortly before he arrived. As it turned out, the drain needed to be cleared which he did in a most efficient and competent manner.     Thanks to Snyder/Direct Air, I have been without any AC for the past 1.5 years! As a result, I have…read moreincurred thousands of dollars worth of damage due to mold and high electric bills because only the fan runs. I have also suffered respiratory issues and a collapsed lung because of Direct Air. My air handler and compressor were installed 9 years ago by Pedro. Over 1.5 years ago, Israel came to my condo for repair. He told me that the unit was not installed correctly by Pedro and that Pedro had been fired for incompetence. Israel said that Direct Air does not install any unit in Florida that is meant to last for more than 2 years. He said that even a small condo like mine should have a new air handler and compressor every 2 years at a price of $20,000. That is ridiculous! He claimed that Direct Air no longer repairs or services- only sells, as others have mentioned. After Israel left, my AC was worse. In fact, the temperature in my condo would not go below 78 degrees. I asked Direct Air for another "technician" to visit. Rolando told me the same story and said to call the office and complain about Israel. Rolando also told me that Israel had probably sabotaged my AC so that it would not cool. He said that management instructs the "technicians" to make sure that a unit is worse when they leave if the homeowner does not agree to the repair price. That way, Direct Air can charge even more for service. Finally, a third "technician" came to try to correct the incompetence and misinformation of Israel and Rolando. He told me that both had been fired for incompetence, misrepresentation, and dishonesty. 'The third technician, Ruben, was supposed to waive the visit fee, as stated by the office, because of the long wait without AC, the botched visits, and all the mold damage and health issues caused by Direct Air. However, Ruben stated that the office was "stupid" and did not know what they were saying. He said that Freon could be put in, but that he did not know how to do that, and he would have to charge $5000 just for a tiny compressor fill. He claimed that Direct Air had good reviews. But - they get their reviews with threats. Ruben waited until I wrote the review, and refused to leave until I read the review to him and he approved it. He was abusive and I finally had to call our security guard for him to leave. Meanwhile, Direct Air has still not fulfilled its promise of sending a qualified technician- not salesperson - to repair a unit that they installed. They have made no offer to reimburse the damages they caused or the health issues and injuries they caused. Update: Yesterday, Raul came to assess the unit and damage caused by Israel, Rolando, and Ruben. Raul appeared to be the first actual technician sent by Direct Air in the past 1 1/2 years. He also spoke English and appeared to be knowledgeable. However, when he offered me an estimate on the work of replacing a part and adding Freon, Jose, the manager refused to discount the price as he had promised in return for going 1 1/2 years without AC, botched and no-show visits, poor installation, mold, and respiratory issues caused by Direct Air. The visit fee that was to be waived for Ruben's visit was also to be credited. After Raul left, the temperature in my condo has now risen and stayed at 83 degrees. I am not sure if this was intentional on his part due to the management policy of leaving a home and AC in worse condition. I contacted my veterinarian to board my cat due to the heat. They are a large veterinary hospital also in the Three Lakes area. They were appalled that an AC company might have intentionally caused cruelty to pets. It is clear that Direct Air does not care about its customers or their well-being.
