I was trying to go a cheap route by getting my supplements from Amazon. However, neither the Creatine nor the post-workout supplements from Amazon would dissolve in water. The flavor and gritty texture of the Amazon product were horrible. When I arrived at Phil's, I was greeted right away, along with getting asked if I needed any assistance or if I had any questions. I was very impressed that I was receiving service from Phil the owner. I told him what was happening with the inferior Amazon product, and he guided me on what I could use. Once I found what I needed, he offered me a sample to ensure I like it. The level of service is what we, as consumers, are missing out on. He is very knowledgeable and has greatly helped me with my strength. I had a surgery (Left clavicle ORIF) and had not gained back all of my strength and happy to say I have and gone beyond that. I have continued to build strength and am working on that and some weight loss now. I have always been athletic but felt a decline nearing my 40s but having the personal training is making it so that isn't a negative anymore to my sports performance.

The major differentiator that Stimulus offers is their insanely welcoming environment. I've been to CrossFit classes where I felt like an outsider, and unwelcome if I wasn't a pro. However at this gym, I was immediately welcomed with open arms. Jeff, the CrossFit coach and co-owner of the gym, is the best fitness coach I've ever had. To start, he has 10+ years of experience in both traditional bodybuilding and CrossFit, not to mention that he's a fantastic crossfitter himself! He makes sure to meet you at your level, and never sacrifices form for weight. He gives every new student enough attention to make sure you understand the movements, have correct form, and are having fun. The class environment is welcoming to any fitness level which is so helpful especially if you're new to working out! CrossFit is both physically and mentally challenging, but I've found that working with a team has made it 10x more fun than working out alone. I showed up and checked in and being a gym rat, he always promised a butt kicking workout. Let me just tell you, it delivered! I'm not big on group training, so I almost said no. (With the exception of my heated pilates and yoga classes.) I've seen amazing results from my friends that are still members here although, I prefer to workout solo or with my coach. I'm so glad I gave them a try. We formed a group of 4 with two other guys and it was a blast as we moved through the stations. I'll most likely drop in again with him in the future. The energy and the coaches were awesome and of course my friend was recognized for his workouts; he's a beast! This place kicked my tail. I love that the app shows how busy the facility is at any given time of the day. They have a whole row tvs in the middle of the gym and I love the music they play.
