Thanks to yelp, I found Thomson Hvac The tech and I thought it should be a simple fix. He inspected my entire system, diagnosed the problem, and quoted the job. We moved forward with the fix, and it worked fine, and then it didn't. After a few more visits, and some more parts and tinkering, it finally started working properly. Although it was a strange and difficult situation, they stuck to it until the problem was resolved. The techs Danny and Mark went above and beyond to make sure everything was good. Another thing to add, the way the company communicated back and forth with me was great. They answered every call and every text. Most of the time I spoke with Stacey and she was great. If you're looking for an honest and professional company, this is it.

My mother recently engaged a service provider for routine maintenance on her air conditioning unit,…read morewhich included the installation of a new Honeywell thermostat. Subsequent to this service, she has reported that the air conditioning is not effectively cooling the premises, with only the fan operating. I advised her to adjust the thermostat to a lower setting. Given her advanced age of 90, her discomfort with the warm air became increasingly pronounced. Today, in collaboration with my brother-in-law, we investigated the issue. We observed that while the unit appeared to be functioning, it was not producing cool air, despite the outdoor fan operating correctly. During our investigation, we contacted the service provider, Thomson. A representative stated that only the thermostat had been replaced and that a service technician could be dispatched for a fee of $159, suggesting a potential wiring issue. Upon reviewing the Honeywell thermostat instructions and wiring diagram, we identified that the thermostat had been incorrectly wired to the "W" terminal. After rectifying this wiring error, the air conditioning unit resumed normal operation, producing cool air. I subsequently contacted Thomson for clarification regarding the initial service. Their response repeatedly referenced a previous replacement 14 months prior. While their online reviews are predominantly five-star, our experience suggests a lack of professionalism. This incident raises concerns about the necessity of recommended services and the quality of workmanship, potentially indicating errors or intentional oversights during the initial installation.

I learned SO many things today about a/c units from him that I never knew!! He explained about the capacitor--been hearing that word for years but never knew it meant something sort of like a battery in the condenser unit (that big metal cube thing that sits in your backyard that powers all of the life-sustaining cold air in the house that keeps you from certain death during a heatwave...LOL!l), flushing the drain lines etc. Also learned how to do simple things like opening the drawer for the filter--DUH! I'm so lame, I'd been trying to open the big flat panel to put in a new filter for some time but gave up --then the other day I realized the drawer on the bottom was the thing with the filter, but because I'm arthritic, I didn't think I could pull it out. Alan made it real simple for me and showed me there's a latch on it that you squeeze and voila!--it just opens! For a year, I haven't been able to master that one simple trick--LOL!! Thank you so much!! Also found out I have more of my yearly membership left than I thought--great! I appreciate all of your help and service, Alan. Thanks again for everything! :D

He did an excellent job coordinating with my electricians, which made the installation process seamless. A huge thank you to Irvin, Kevin, and Raul for their exceptional work installing four Mitsubishi mini splits throughout my home. They were professional, courteous, and incredibly detail oriented. They took the time to understand my preferences for the placement of each unit, communicated with me throughout the installation, and brought any questions or considerations to my attention as they came up. The entire team went above and beyond to complete the project in a timely manner while maintaining a very high standard of workmanship. They left everything clean and in great order when the job was finished. If you're looking for a company that values quality, communication, and customer service, I highly recommend J Martin Indoor Air Quality. I couldn't be happier with the results.

Graciously, he took my feedback of asking his team to leave voicemails (or text) to help resolve some of the miscommunication. Thankfully Frankie and Edwin were able to squeeze us back in this afternoon and completed the scheduled work. They were incredibly pleasant, apologetic and kind. We have a couple of visits left for the HERS inspection (along with Rebel Air staff) and the City inspection. Looking forward to a hopefully smooth closeout to this project. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I hate to leave this review, because everything had initially gone very well with our project. We spent well over $20k to do ductwork, put in a new HVAC system in and add a mini split. The initial visit with Johnny was wonderful and he did a great job explaining the work and provided a competitive quote compared the other estimates we received. He also provided great recommendations on additional registers/vents to balance out our airflow. Those were installed, but instead of the additional vent he originally suggested in our west-facing living room, one was added in the kitchen, making the kitchen very cold but the living room very warm. The work took longer than the original 5 days planned (about 7-8 days), but they did a great job cleaning up after. This was in March 2026. It is now July 2026. During the initial estimate, Johnny had indicated that they were happy to come by to adjust dampers as needed, and Vincent was very helpful with that although advised that we need to rotate the TDuct feeding into the kitchen/living room to better balance the airflow. The work wasn't done correctly to begin with, but we are ok with that solution if it helps the situation. When the HERS inspectors came to help finalize the City permit in April, they noted that none of the caulking was done. This morning we had an appointment from 8-10am to do the caulking and rotate the TDuct that I am taking time off of work to do. I called in past 9am to get a status update but I'm told a representative (Edwin) knocked and called but left when no one answered. I was in the back doing a bit of yardwork with my phone on me - several calls, including spam came in, but no voicemails. No videos from our doorbell or cameras out front show anyone coming to the door or up the walkway. I have texted Andrea to get a status update or reschedule and am waiting to hear back. Given that the initial interaction was positive, I hope that this is a fluke and a dropped ball with the miscommunication this morning and not a lack of interest on Rebel Air's part since they have already been fully paid. I hope to finalize this project soon and finish the permit with the City.

But if you need AC repair, seriously, do not call anyone else. My AC had been giving me trouble since May. I had FOUR other highly rated companies come out to diagnose it. Each time, I was charged for the visit, they spent maybe five minutes looking at the unit, told me everything seemed fine, and left. Meanwhile, the problem continued. I finally mentioned it to a friend, and she recommended Trifecta in Huntington Beach. They came out today and spent over TWO HOURS at my house. They checked every possible scenario, went through the system thoroughly, and actually took the time to figure out what was wrong. For the first time in months, I finally have a properly working AC! What really impressed me was the difference in the level of care, knowledge, and experience. The other companies I called also had great Yelp ratings and wonderful reviews, which is why I chose them--but none of them came close to the thoroughness and professionalism I experienced with Trifecta. Do not waste your time calling around. If you're having AC problems, call Trifecta. I genuinely cannot recommend them highly enough.

Kirk was FANTASTIC! Our unit is 20 years old, we have never really had regular maintenance on it. He showed up super early (they asked if that was okay, and YES thank you). Before he arrived they sent a text with his name and photo. I absolutely love this! That extra safety is so important. Kirk looked at our unit and asked some questions. He explained all they do with the "family plan" so we signed up. I am one of those that needs to be reminded of scheduled upkeep so this is perfect. He gave us the estimate before he started and I asked for a very rough estimate of a new unit (having no idea) so we decided to go with repair and hope for the best. The repair wasn't cheap but considering all the work that needed to be done as well as it being an older unit, I feel it was a very fair price. I think we did have the best with Kirk. He was able to repair our unit and give it some much needed TLC for our AC unit and furnace. He even installed our pre-purchased thermostat! Kirk was polite and considerate. He took time to answer all of our questions and ensured us that we could reach out with any questions, I believe him. Service people can often be rushed, there is a lot of work out there, but not Kirk. He didn't waste time either, I felt like he was in and out in no time at all. By the time he left we understood all that was done and what we need to do to get some additional service from our current unit. I could not be happier with the call I made this morning.
