Wow. 1. Outragous and unnecessary repairs 2. Bad Customer Service multiple engagements 3. Really nice repair tech 4. We called for a second opinion and was told nothing needs to be replaced. 1. I was quote $3800 to clean 8 ducts. I was quoted $2700 to replace the motor, capacitor, and starter. Technician stated that the motor is leaking oil but didn't clarify if any of these repairs would actually fix the problem I shared. Technician also said to replace my AC with the same outdoor unit would cost 18-20k, but the unit sells online for $6500 including install. 2. I called and shared the need for someone to come out. Contact shared they can't schedule a repair assessment and a cleaning at the same time. So I scheduled the cleaning, which I was told would be $49. Tech came and did the repair assessment instead. No cleaning completed. Tech was supposed to come at 11 and that it would take 2hrs. So 11-1. 1p came and went, no word from anyone. I called, they pushed my appt and said someone would come out between 1-3 and that I'd get a call with a 30min warning. I received a message 12 minutes before someone arrived. I was also asked to sign something for work without a parts and labor breakdown, asked for one in email, didn't receive a breakdown. 3. Raymond was super helpful, clear and kind, but said the company doesn't give a parts and labor breakdown, and was terribly wrong on how much my unit would cost to replace. 4. Do not use them, they're trying to gouge. It's bad. Someone should report them to BBB. read more

Our Absolute Airflow tech, Alan Huerta who came out today for our summer maintenance tune up, was awesome! Just a super nice guy and great technician. I learned SO many things today about a/c units from him that I never knew!! He explained about the capacitor--been hearing that word for years but never knew it meant something sort of like a battery in the condenser unit (that big metal cube thing that sits in your backyard that powers all of the life-sustaining cold air in the house that keeps you from certain death during a heatwave...LOL!l), flushing the drain lines etc. Also learned how to do simple things like opening the drawer for the filter--DUH! I'm so lame, I'd been trying to open the big flat panel to put in a new filter for some time but gave up --then the other day I realized the drawer on the bottom was the thing with the filter, but because I'm arthritic, I didn't think I could pull it out. Alan made it real simple for me and showed me there's a latch on it that you squeeze and voila!--it just opens! For a year, I haven't been able to master that one simple trick--LOL!! Avoid this company if you value honesty and customer service. Xavier was very rude and unprofessional. The seller of our home paid over $17,000 to have HVAC unit replaced only 3 years ago and was provided with what was represented as a 10-year warranty. At no point on the invoice or in the paperwork was it disclosed that the warranty was non-transferable to a new homeowner. During the home inspection, it was noted that the condenser/conduit line was not properly secured and needed a whip clamp. Before escrow closed, the seller contacted the company and asked them to return and correct the installation. This is a simple repair that costs the company very little, yet they refused to come out before closing, insisted the installation was proper, and then later attempted to charge the buyer $150 to correct the issue. Their response was essentially, "The previous owner paid for the system, not you. You want us to do free labor." That's a disappointing way to treat customers. This wasn't a request for free work--it was a request to correct an installation issue that had already been identified before the property changed hands. For a company that received over $17,000 for a new HVAC installation, refusing to stand behind its work over such a minor correction reflects poorly on its integrity and customer service. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. Insanely expensive for the service they provide. Tenant said the AC was not working. Usually I would handle this myself but it happened in the middle of my work day. Quoted $750 for a capacitor replacement, and another $750 for a hard start kit. My tenant had an extra capacitor that I left there and still charged $160 for install. I have never seen prices this high in my life. Amrad capacitor was $40, 5-2-1 compressor saver was $50. Install? 30 minutes of my time. I will not be recommending them to any of my properties. read more

BUYER BEWARE: Absolute Airflow offered me a $50 Amazon gift card if I remove or update the below negative review (proof in the attached screenshot). They also promised me a refund that never came, nor provided an explanation as to why I haven't received it. I've used Absolute Airflow for two separate services, and unfortunately both involved serious safety-related issues that should have been easily avoided. 1) Water Heater Installation (Plumbing Team) Their team strongly recommended replacing our water heater, and we moved forward, spending several thousand dollars on a new unit. Within hours of installation--late at night--we began to smell gas inside our home. We had to call the gas company's emergency line, and they sent a technician out immediately. He identified that the gas connection at the water heater had not been properly tightened, causing an active gas leak into our home. While the fix itself was simple, this is a basic safety step that should never be missed, especially on a job of this cost and importance. 2) Air Purifier Installation (HVAC Team - Phenomenal Aire Unit) We also had their HVAC team install a Phenomenal Aire air purifier. A few days later, while we had an unrelated licensed electrician working in the attic, he noticed a clicking/sparking (electrical arcing) coming from the unit and immediately disconnected it, explaining it was a safety hazard. In addition, he noted that the installation included improper and unsafe electrical work, including open electrical splices located outside of a junction box, as well as a transformer and associated wiring that were not installed within a proper electrical enclosure. Wiring was left exposed, unsecured, and routed through insulation without proper protection. These conditions present a fire risk, lack required mechanical protection, and do not meet basic safety or code-compliant installation standards for residential electrical installations. We likely would not have discovered these issues otherwise. Follow-Up & Communication Issues When we contacted Absolute Airflow, they sent the original technician, Juan, back out, who confirmed the unit was defective and needed to be replaced. A follow-up installation was scheduled. However, the technician never arrived, and no notice of delay or cancellation was provided. I made multiple follow-up calls including requesting a refund but was unable to obtain any meaningful update or speak with anyone who could resolve the issue. Refund Handling A few days later, I received a call from Isaiah in their customer success team who acknowledged the situation and stated that they would process a full refund, with a timeline of 5-10 business days. This is also where I was first offered the gift card to remove or update my review (they asked a second time about a week later even though I still hadn't received the refund) As of today, 12 business days have passed, and I have not received the refund or a clear explanation for the delay. Attempts to follow up have not resulted in a resolution. Overall, given the premium pricing this company charges, I expected a much higher level of care and quality control, especially when it comes to safety. Experiencing both a gas leak and an electrical hazard across two separate services is extremely concerning. The lack of follow-through and accountability has made the situation even more frustrating. At this point, I have escalated the matter to my credit card company to pursue a chargeback. read more

always thought highly of Absolute Air Flow. We actually had an entire new system installed five years ago. The other day my unit was not cooling and I had a gentleman come out to check it out. He proceeded to tell me that the compressor has gone out and he got his boss on the phone and they wanted to charge me $23,000 for a completely new system then drop the price down to $17,000. I could not believe what I was hearing as this entire unit inside and out was only five years old. I decided to call another company out and have them look at it and the gentleman that came said there's nothing wrong with our unit. It's fine but because it is a newer unit, everything is electronic and the inside furnace and the outside air-conditioning unit communicate with each other. The outside unit had shut down and the gentleman said you just have to shut the power off to each unit for a few minutes and then turn them back on so that they can communicate with each other. The inside unit and the outside unit have individual breakers and that's all he did was turn them both off and turn them back on and the unit is working fine now. He used all his gauges and checked everything and said everything was fine. That cost me $88. I can't believe absolute Airflow sent someone to my house that had no idea that you could do that. I've had Absolute Airflow maintaining my HVAC unit for some time now, so I trusted them when my system started short-cycling. I was shocked when their technician told me my gas line and inducer motor were failing and that I needed a brand-new system for $10,000-$15,000. What's most disappointing is that they've been 'maintaining' this 10-year-old unit and apparently missed these supposedly major issues until they could pitch a total replacement. I brought in a third party for a second opinion, and they fixed the issue without a new system (replaced a flue pipe for $280), saving me over $10k. If you're a maintenance member here, please get a second opinion before believing their replacement quotes. read more

Avoid this company at ALL COSTS - total scam, prices are insane. They wanted $40k to replace my existing AC (other quotes are in the $10k to $15k range). They wanted $10k for a tankless water heater, every other quote I got was in the $3k range. Their latest AC inspection on my system (I have used them for years) was that my system went from fine in October to 2025 to now in April 2026 needs to be fully replaced it's in such bad shape. The system was also making noises after Absolute's inspection and re-assmebly of the unit. I got THREE OTHER INDEPENDENT OPINIONS and all of them laughed at Absolute's report. None of the repair report claims were verified and all three companies stated my system was 100% operational, needed maybe a few hundred dollars in minor maintenance, but nothing close to replacing it for $40k like absolute wanted. They also confirmed the system was incorrectly re-assembled by Absolute causing the noises I was hearing (I hate to say this was intentional, but it really feels like it!). Absolute will give you only the doom and gloom scenario plus a lot of BS on top. They told me after 10 years, you should replace your AC system (which mine is 10 years old). Everyone else I got opinions from laughed and stated the system should last 15 to 20 years and 10 years is not even close to the replacement point. WHAT A JOKE this company is! read more

Absolute Airflow installed our HVAC system 6 to 7 years ago. Since then, the capacitor in our compressor has broken down twice in the last three years requiring replacement. The most recent time was last night. I was thankful to be able to schedule a service appointment. My initial window was arrival time between 1 to 3 PM. Two calls from the office and five hours later. I'm still waiting on a technician to show. The arrival window is unknown at this point. The only thing the woman on the phone was willing to do was waive my $19 service fee as in Absolute Airflow an annual service member. I'm a small business owner and I took off half of the day in order to be home for my original arrival window. Money out of my pocket. She admitted that he call Center intentionally over books, the technicians, causing recurring and predictable delays. I explained to her that this is a policy and procedure issue within the company that has now become a customer issue in my case. She was unwilling to assist in any other way. I will not be renewing my yearly service membership. Unfortunately this is not the first time that I have lost to complain within this company. Truly unfortunate. read more

Their ongoing solicitations for annual maintenance is fishy. We had a 25 year warranty on a 9 year old furnace; Absolute Airflow said we needed a new one and quoted 3 new units, costing 10-15 grand just to replace, before maintenance/labor costs. Had a second opinion independent contractor come in and tell us our product was totally under warranty, no new equipment needed. Absolute Airflow? Absolute scam. In their defense, once confronted, they paid for labor costs for replacement of the supposedly damaged furnace, so not a total failure...but without that second opinion, we'd have never known otherwise. Customer service is worse since Victor sold the company. They haven't bothered to update Yelp infon they still have Victor posted as the owner. Just be sure to double check before you pay/they leave that everything is how you want it. I had tankless replaced and they did a good job - but had to tell them to seal obvious holes and had to sweep up after. Then they quoted $1,000 to change 4 angle stops under bathroom sinks. Hard pass- so they did a decent install, just be on your toes about finished project & pricing. They will call you relentlessly while you're considering the job then not return any messages after it's completed. Odd dynamic/way to do business. I miss Victor and the old Absolute . Customer service seems to be a thing of the past anywhere you go present day. read more

Poor customer service response after minor maintenance was done on our heating system installed by this company in 2022: 1) I have called three times in the past 3 weeks for my itemized receipt for services rendered and for a manager to call me and nothing. 2) I was told the $95 service charge would go toward services rendered and that wasn't the case. 3) I signed up for maintenance service and was subsequently bombarded with texts and emails to sign up for maintenance service 4) i was texted multiple times about setting up scheduled maintenance when they were JUST here but I paid for the maintenance contract PLUS the $95 service call fee that I was told would go toward the services rendered (which is why I want the receipt!). My landlord paid thousands of dollars to replace the condenser and ac unit on Friday. They were here 7 hours and finished the install... the next day Saturday the system failed. I called in and they scheduled a repair 2-5 for today Monday... I called in around 10 to confirm the appointment which it was again confirmed. At 4pm I called to get an eta... all I am being told is "there was a discrepancy" and now they aren't coming... no follow up appointment nothing. Charged me 69.00 and gave me a alternative repair which was 8500.00 heat cassette in my ceiling. Not acceptable. The problem comes after when the AI harassment starts.
