Yumtastic! Stopped in to have breakfast and was not disappointed. It was so good I forgot to take pics. A small local eatery so be prepared to wait a little bit. We waited ten minutes with two parties in front of us. I got the Momtastic Benedict Special. Eggs Benedict with bacon, fried green tomatoes, arugula and green onion. My husband got The Dublin Eggs Benedict. Eggs Benedict with homemade corn beef hash and potatoes. Portions were generous. Service was friendly and efficient. We will be going back to try some of their other dishes. They are only open 7:00 am until 2:00 pm so plan accordingly. read more

I stumbled upon this place while I was looking for a quick breakfast before my son's football game in Berkeley. What a happy discovery it was. The place is full of charm with lovely waitresses serving food with a smile. The menu is full of original, delicious options. I went for the corn beef which is made in-house and it's the best corn beef hash I have eaten in New Jersey. The place is so good I came back after the game with my family for lunch! Cute, welcoming, attentive staff. I have run into a couple of attitudes from a couple of the girls. The food, for the most part is pretty tasty. I'm from out of state and have had some of the finest cuisine so my standards might be a little higher than most. Having said that, I need to comment on the Hollandaise sauce as Eggs Benedict is one of my favs... it's just not tangy as it should be. I'm giving a 1 star in their take out order only. I have eaten inside with no issues. Still would not give a 5. We waited about 45 minutes for our food order. When the order was given to my partner he was asked by the young lady if he would like to leave a tip. Well normally we do and we too well but this was rude. Food gets home (we are less than 1 mile away) and it's ice cold. My Mela toast was supposed to have eggs easy on it and both eggs were well done. My partner got chicken fried steak and the gravy was missing. My suggestion. Eat in not take out and if you can't accommodate take out orders. DON'T do them. read more

We just went for the second time and I have to say this is now my favorite place for breakfast!! The hash is homemade and very tasty, had it in a bowl with eggs and cheese, couldn't finish!! The husband has had the Benedict Arnold it's with a crab cake... yum!! The best he has had in 40 years . Ingredients are fresh and the combo of sauce eggs and crab is perfection. . Wish I took a photo it looked great too . Don't be alarmed if there is a wait it tends to move quickly . Staff is attentive and friendly. Oh the bacon was crisp cooked perfectly and not greasy . The pancakes are just as wonderful, short stack was too much for me , loved the harvest coffee too . Can't wait to return. read more

C&G's is always so busy that it made me wonder what was happening there. I tried it for the first time and found out: it's delicious. I got The Dipper (French dip). I'm pretty sure everything about it was home made. Usually when a diner/cafe serves this they use packaged fries, packaged roast beef, and French Onion soup being called au jus. After 2 visits, it's easy tto realize why they deserve 5 stars for what they do and where they are located. Everything is as I it should be and tastes good. Nothing is taste bad or is bad. Aside from how early they close and how packed it can get. Here is what I've eaten so far graded with a 10 point scale as I usually do. Biscuits & Gravy 8/10 Thick Biscuits covered in good gravy. Home Fries 10/10 One of, if not, the tastiest home fries I have ever had. Crispy, soft, tasty. Eggs 9/10 Cooked over well. Not crispy on the edges. Bacon 10/10 Being that most establishments outside of home let bacon sit long and get rubbery. This was as good as home. Crispy and just good. Nothing fancy, thick, or seasoned. Pancakes 9/10 Fluffy, soft, just done right. "Pub" Burger 7/10 Consists cheddar, bacon, fried onion rings, and barbecue sauce. Not a personal fan of the bread they use, burger isn't above average good, not enough barbecue sauce but also not an original barbecue sauce. Fries 7/10 Average good crisp and flavor. Macaroni Salad 9/10 Comes with the burger. Surprisingly good! read more
