My review is long overdue. I had requested quotes to get 2 duplicate key fobs for my Lexus IS since my key broke off the key fob. Mike got back to me and provided a quote. As a mobile locksmith, I was very appreciative since I was working remotely from home. Mike was over for a couple hours and made my key fobs in the new flip style; however, for some reason the alarm on the key fob wasn't connecting to my car. We decided to take my car and key fobs to another locksmith who told us that with the type of key fob I have, I couldn't have the flip style key fob and that I needed to get the same style key fob. I notified Mike and he ordered the key fobs fit for my car. He came back a few days later and programmed the keys to the fob and my car. Months later. I tried to insert the key into the lock manually since my car battery died. The key wouldn't go into the lock on either my driver side or trunk after trying both keys that Mike created. My original key from Lexus worked fine so I wasn't sure what happened since Mike tested his keys before he left. I contacted Mike after 7 months, and he prompted responded and came over the same day to correct the keys. Talk about amazing customer service! I really couldn't be happier and if I could give more stars I would. I messed up a really old style door lock that was used back in the late 70s when I was trying to see how it worked and how I could replace it with a smart-lock option. With a door that no longer locked, I sent a few bids out and Mike got back to me right away with what he thinks could be done. After hopping on the phone with him for a few minutes we talked through what the situation was but thought it would be best to look at the door lock to better understand some options. He came out to the house within 30min of the call, looked at ways we could solve the problem and agreed to talk the next day. He also fixed my broken lock while he was here at no charge. We stayed in touch via text and worked out the plan. I was able to get the hardware I needed which he confirmed before coming out. The next day we were in business and he was removing the old hardware and replacing with my updated hardware and smart-lock,. This required setting/drilling a new deadbolt into a solid wood door, calibrating the smart-lock assembly to the door and re-keying for my current house keys as a back up. There were a few more things he helped me with on other doors that were also installed perfectly. I have been dreading these projects for a few months and he had it all taken care of in roughly 90 minutes. If I knew it would be that easy and such a positive experience I would have called him a few months ago. Mike also came in under his estimate which is really rare these days. He is a very friendly guy and went out of his way to make sure we had everything the way we wanted it. We couldn't be more happy. All in all the experience was professional and exceptional. The second I have more work for him I will be reaching out. There is a reason you see he has such a consistently high rating. In my almost 48 years of existence I've never locked myself out of my house. Truth be told, I did lock myself out of my parents' house when I was a kid, but I was able to climb on their roof, remove their window screen, and was able to slide their windows open. Mike installed a new smart lock on our front door. I was very impressed with how responsive Mike was when I first contacted him and he quickly got back to me with an estimate and dates to schedule the install. When he arrived he was wearing a mask which I appreciated and stayed with me to work through the install instructions to connect the lock to the phone app and my home wifi. Then we found that the bolt wasn't going in deep enough so he had to drill a deeper hole and work on filing the metal hole plate to be sure that it worked properly. He did all of this with a calm professional approach. He also replaced a lock on my mailbox. I really appreciated his work to make sure that my new smart lock was working correctly before he left and all of his help with the wifi connection. Mike you are amazing!! Pretty much like Batman because you saved our night! We got this supposedly EZ install Schlag Electronic Keypad but it ended up being anything but easy. First, the hole was too small, and we didn't have the right tools to make the diameter larger. I reached out to Mike and he said he'd come over in 15 minutes!! Truly a paramedic for key services!! And THANK YOU for not charging exorbitant prices for emergencies--he said a standard $80 for install the lock and includes pairs of keys too.
