They ironically do not have any hot sauce.
Gene T.

We came on a Friday for the fish fry. Even though the Grizzly's in Manitowoc bears the same name (no pun intended), they are two very different venues. Here, they offer a Friday fish fry, and Manitowoc Grizzly's does not, which is why we came to this one. We were surprised to see the sign declaring cash only. The other place accepts cards. We were seated and placed our order. I asked if they had an IPA on tap. They informed me they had no tap and that they only had bottles and cans, and no IPA at that. I ordered a soda. I ordered the fried perch, which was $25.00. My choice of potato was wedges. I asked for hot sauce. They didn't have that either, which was ironic as the condiment caddy had a Tabasco logo on it. The meal came with a salad as well. The quality of the meal is the reason for 3 stars instead of two. The salad was fresh and included a variety of fresh cut vegetables and toppings. The perch was fried perfectly, and the portion was very generous. The potato wedges were light and crispy. The meal came with two small cups of Cole slaw. One was a sweet kale salad, which was good. The other was coarse chopped red cabbage and red onions in a sweet mayo dressing. I didn't care for the strong onion taste. I'll be honest. If I get fish from there again, I'm ordering it to go and swinging by the store to get my preferred beverage and, of course, hot sauce.

Fish frys are a Wisconsin tradition on Friday nights, and most restaurants/bars/grills feature one. Well, we decided to try Grizzly's on this Friday night for their fish special. We arrived right when they opened at 4 pm, and every Wisconsinite knows that fish fridays could get busy quickly. We chose our table, and our server was by a short time later. We didn't need to review the menu, as we knew we wanted the fish. The special was perch, walleye, or haddock. You can choose a small(one piece) or large(2 pieces), choice of potato, and a salad. I chose the small haddock with potato wedges and French dressing for my salad. A short time after ordering, our salads came out, and it was fresh and crisp. There were croutons and cheese on the side. It had crisp lettuce, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, radishes, and shredded carrots. The salad was a larger portion and very good! I was still eating my salad when my fish dinner came out. The plate was loaded with a HUGE piece of breaded haddock, plenty of potato wedges, a small side of coleslaw, and some kind of sweet kale salad. I was excited to try the fish ad. This was our first time in, but I was quickly disappointed. I felt the fish was dry, and the batter lacked flavor. It was somewhat better after I squeezed my lemon wedge on it. The potato wedges were crispy, and the kale salad thing was ok. I didn't try the coleslaw as I am not a fan of Coleslaw anywhere. The bar was clean, with ample seating, and was adorned with typical bar decor. The staff was friendly. Some things to keep in mind: they are cash only, no beer on tap, and no hot sauce if you are a hot sauce fan. Was this experience awesome? no. Was it horrible? No. Was it a-okay? Yes. We may be back to try other menu items next time we want to make a trip to Two Rivers.

So right out of the gate we're not doing well. Once the soup got here, they redeemed themselves. French onion soup was delicious. Lots of onions, perfect amount of cheese, croutons were seasoned well. Now I will say, the pretzel was ok. The honey horseradish sauce they served with it though? Outstanding. I'd eat that by the spoonful. Be careful though, it DOES pack a punch. I had the Corned beef on light rye and my wife had the tuna sandwich. My bread was nice and soft, well flavored. The corned beef was delicious as well, even though it's just a sandwich. Hers? She liked the tuna, but was skeptical about the bread. It was a bit more firm for her liking, but she DID ask for French bread. Didn't take away from the fact it was excellent. Potato salad that came with it? Meh. It's potato salad. Nothing snazzy about it. But it was still appetizing. Just wouldn't say it's out of the park. Overall, I'd like to try a few more things from the menu as they have a range of delicious items. Nice establishment, friendly people, and nice atmosphere.

The service was fantastic all night. And the food. You get what you pay for, truly. This is a nice spot and the food is drool worthy. It's plated so nicely, everything was cooked to perfection, and they did a great job of complimenting sides with entrees. The cheese curds were also unique and fantastic. If you're in the area and want a dinner you know will be good, this is the spot.

We had the cheese curds for the appetizer and my husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the crusted chicken. All of our food was absolutely delicious- served hot, and perfectly seasoned. My husband commented that it tasted like a chef was in the kitchen. Think metropolitan, high-end restaurant quality food! Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality. The ambience is charming yet fresh and modern. Very clean. I would suggest to dress resort casual or nicer for an evening meal. The service was attentive and welcoming. There is room for a large group. Outside seating is available, but I wouldn't recommend because it is near a busy traffic light which would detract from the experience. Don't hesitate to try the Courthouse Pub for a delicious, memorable meal.

SO MUCH FLAVOR. Then I switched to the San Fran noodles and wow. Same thing. The cook is really great at marrying sauces, toppings, and flavors. They have a talent because I don't think I ate anything I didn't like. Special shout out to their unique fried cheese because what was that? Amazing. Such a great meal. Service was good but I don't even care about that because the food was so fantastic. We were heading back to work so couldn't drink but their beer menu also looked amazing. I'm a sour drinker and seemed to have a couple good options. Highly recommend!

This place is advertised as gastropub food, which is intended and designed to be quick food to make. My inclination is that they wanted us to wait there as long as possible to keep ordering more drinks. It took so long I thought the chef had quit mid shift. Food: underwhelming and average. Nothing you couldn't make at home with minimal effort. Tasted greasy. Even if it was good, I couldn't have appreciated it because the wait was SO long I was starving and dizzy from low blood sugar by the time it arrived. Unacceptable. Will not go back and would not recommend. I'd only recommend in the event you're practicing intermittent fasting or on an intense diet.
