Single perch dinner - yes, you get two baked potatoes.

This place is not all that much to look at, the atmosphere is just so so, but... don't let that deceive you. If you're looking for super delicious food and excellent service. This is the place. I love a good perch fry and Redwood has the best I've ever had - and you certainly don't go away hungry. This place is super popular so know it will be busy, especially on a Friday night, but the wait is well worth it.

Waited 45 mins to a hr for a seat... got there round 4:30pm

Went here 4/2022 Place was packed. DrWs in a lot of people. Bar was packed. Was there at 4:39 and waiting for a table 45 mins. They have a lot of neat Packer memorabilia on the walls. Part of a up right on the walls from a field they practiced at. People are polite and professional. Helpful. First time there. Just too many people for me to really enjoy it and was hard to find a parking spot. Food was reasonably priced. Waitress helpful. I went for the salmon. My buddy Chris for something friend up for fish. My advice go early or later. Cuz it packs full on a Fri night. Until the next review, Yelp Steve-O, out!

We tried Redwood Inn for the first time and were highly impressed. The wait staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. Since it was our first time there, they were more than willing to explain everything to us. The bartender we had was super friendly and good at her job. The overall place was super clean and a fun atmosphere. And for the food, it was amazing!! Every single thing we had was delicious! We will definitely be going back!! If you are in the area, try this place because you will not be disappointed!

Okay... this is a single Perch! What hell is a double??

Come in, take a number and have a few drinks! If it's the weekend it's probably going to be an hour or so. Worth the wait! You can tell by how packed it is. Serving size is outrageous. Want a baked potato with your entree? You get 2!! Want fries? You get a plateful. NEVER order anything but the regular portion because you either have to have expandable pants or you will be taking food home. I've had the Cod, Chicken, Pork Chops and they are all great. But the Perch may be the best meal of them all. Looking for a taste of Wisconsin? Look no further.

This is an old school super club with a limited menu. Arrive early and I mean like 4pm early. I once showed up at like 6pm and had to wait till 8pm to eat. You get your drink at the bar (strong old fashions here) and then you wait your turn to place your order with a waitress. This trip we waited about 20 minutes to do this and two rounds of drinks. Once your food is ready that is when you are seated. This took about 30 minutes since we showed up so early in the evening. I ordered the single perch plate with fries. If you look at my pictures you will see that a single is 6 filets of perch. Enough to feed an army after being paired with all those fries. The coleslaw is served to the entire table. I do like the cook on the perch and the fries were fine nothing special. I did not like the coleslaw it was runny and not seasoned at all. Service was not the best. The waitress taking our food order was not patient when one member of our party had questions on a menu item. I am pretty sure when one of the waitress's dropped food and my mother-in-law tried to help her she literally told her off in the worst tone ever. I would say if you are looking for an excellent super club experience now a days there are better places.

My girls like this place and wanted to come here on this trip mainly for the nostalgia. So I was presently surprised how good the food tasted. It's a cool restaurant with the "lodgey" feel and it doesn't look worn with age. The staff and our waitress were awesome, they had to make some adjustments to seat our large party and our waitress was really patient as a few of our party were not there at the time of our reservation. Service was fast but not rushed, even though it was a busy night. We started with our drinks and some great fried cheese curds. Cheese curds have become popular throughout the Midwest but for some reason they never taste as good as the ones you get in Wisconsin. They have an impressive list of bourbons, though my father in law said that they usually don't all the Buffalo Trace bourbons that's listed. My daughter and I shared the "special of the day" perch platter. The perch was crispy and piping hot and delicious. The sides were pedestrian but decent. The others at our table got the tenderloin sandwich, half rack of tender juicy ribs, the coconut crusted shrimp and the Caribbean chicken pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It's a very good choice for American pub grub but for my wife and daughters, there are the great memories of meeting up with family and enjoying a good dinner and their company.

They have ample bar seating and table seating. Decent amount of parking. The elevator right when you enter takes you down to the bathroom, I didn't use them so I'm not sure on cleanliness. The actual restaurant itself was very clean. Service: They have a method set up where you have multiple people assisting you throughout the entire experience. Someone to bring waters, someone to take your order and bring the check, people to bring out food. Everyone was friendly and we had our water glasses refilled once. Food: The food was okay. I'm really torn on the experience because some reviews said the food was over seasoned but ours was a weird mix. Appetizers- The cheese curds were so tiny (they were smaller than my thumb nail) that all you tasted was batter and salt. The lobster bisque was really over seasoned and it needed acid (fresh lemon wedge on the side would have been nice). It was super rich which is expected but it needed something to break it up. I think they tried doing that with the creme fraiche on top but it didn't work. Entrees- I had the lobster cobb salad and my partner had the lobster rolls. The lobster rolls were super tiny so they were still hungry when they left and there wasn't much flavor or filling. The french fries were decent, probably the best part of the meal. The lobster cobb salad was so bland. Whatever dressing they had on the lettuce tasted of just avocado, which doesn't have a lot of flavor. The lobster itself was sweet in flavor but the cooking of it felt off, it was stringy? I ended up leaving most of the salad on my plate. I'm thinking we just ordered the wrong items off of the menu based off of other reviews. But it's quite a long drive for us to come here so I can't see us going out of our way to come back.

It was right on the way home to Milwaukee, we wanted to head out of the city since there was a Packer Game ending shortly after we left. It was a quaint little brewery in a strip mall, nice and clean inside with cool brewery signs covering the walls. Surprisingly the place was empty, which worked nicely for us! We had our pick of tables and got to catch the end of the game too. We had our 2 toddlers with us and the guys working were super sweet to them. They have a small kids menu that did the job (grilled cheese an a burger for the kiddos) - it came with organic chocolate milk, fries and fruit snacks; quite a good value! My husband and I shared the fried chicken sandwich and their spicy burger - their main menu items were gourmet burgers. Personally, I really enjoyed the chicken, it was fried perfectly and had great flavor. Overall it was a super quick and convenient stop with a lot of nice beer options on tap if that's your thing.
