And it's an older building but don't let that discourage you from shopping here. Always pleasant customer service at this location. Grocery Outlet has really stepped up it's organic/healthy food section. Amazing wine selection and I just noticed an impressive liquor section at the front of the registers. Also coming through with some bougie cheeses. Grocery Outlet has all the staples and lots of items you didn't know you needed. Amazing savings overall, these prices can't be beat! This place is great they have great deals on meat fish and vegetables. I usually get potatoes onions cabbage broccoli and a few other things here. But I definitely like when they have ribs and salmon on sale I like to pick up a few to barbecue. You have a nice selection of spices. It kind of reminds me of a specialty store because you find stuff you don't find at other places. Just wish they had a little bit more selection on meats and cheeses. I'm shopping here every week now. I thought that items like Ceviche or Korean dumplings wouldn't be possible in this town. Pro tip: If you find something that looks good, buy many. It might not be there next week. I remember finding some Korean ramen/ramyun that I didn't even see in the Korean stores and the price was less than the Korean stores normally had for such a pack. Then, it was suddenly gone. I checked every store from Tracy to San Jose and didn't find it. They have a great aisle with vegetarian and vegan items. They have a good selection of meats and cheeses. Occasionally, I find drinks that I couldn't find elsewhere and then, they're gone the next time I visit. The Asian section is a little bare. Many stores fill in the section with the Americanized Asian stuff and sadly, I order online for many things, especially boxed Japanese tofu. The frozen section has loads of good stuff and I wish I had a car so that I could load up. The healthcare aisle often has things I would find at Target. They carry a good variety of products just be mindful of the use-by dates and you are good to go. Good customer service. Could use a facelift inside and out but still a good place to shop. I went back and forth between a four-star and five star rating because overall I really like this store and it is one of our three regular go to grocery stores along with Costco and WinCo. The staff is very friendly at this location and not that I need help usually but they are always willing to help if needed. The prices for the most part are good and in some cases exceptional. If you don't mind buying food towards the end of it's used by date you can get some great deals here. With a family of six using food quickly is not a problem for us. Some of the things that you find best deals on here are yogurts, cheese, bacon and sausages, cereal, certain Frozen items, and the rest is a grab bag roll of the dice depending on what they have in stock. Overall we save a lot here. Now let's talk about some of the things that led me to take a star away. The first is selection. Sometimes a selection is great sometimes it is lacking. Sometimes I can come here and get everything on my list and sometimes I have to go elsewhere. It is basically a outlet store that sells surplus food from different distributors or other chains so certain items can be hit and miss. If you are dead set on a specific brand in a specific size in most cases this might not be the place for you. The second issue I have with them is probably a little petty but a lot of their employees do not know how to load shopping bags they mix things that should not necessarily be in the same bag so you kind of have to watch them. Some of it may be preference such as packing all perishables together but it is not a deal breaker for me. Finally what is probably the biggest negative at least to me is the area. There are a lot of homeless in the area that are often hanging out along the front of the building. I've seen drug deals and other shady activity in the parking lot before. My wife will not come to this store without me because she does not feel safe alone here especially if she has kids with her. Overall I'd without a doubt recommend Manteca grocery outlet. We have been coming here for probably close to 10 years and plan to continue. read more

I think the coolest thing about the store is the atmosphere in addition to the great prices you know the owner takes pride in finding items that essentially can fit someone on social security's budget and is 5 times healthier than Vons or Albertsons this is truly a gem in East village and there is one cashier in particular who is compassionate intelligent kind and empathetic to her customers always accurate and quick to give a smile and excellent customer service her name is Kia and the other lady that manages it is excellent too read more

I used to shop here until just the other day. I understand with Covid and the Oil Prices going up and costing more to stock the shelves and keep staff on can roll into prices of groceries but the other day I really started to see very unreasonable prices. I have shopped at this store almost every two weeks since I live nearby and I love the friendly staff. I was flabbergasted on how much the costs had risen and after browsing the store in search of essentials I just said to myself I need to leave. I went to my neighborhood Food 4 Less where I found everything I needed and at staggering lower prices. A nice place to get a good variety of goods for a discount. This is a new store that replaced Grocery Outlet and brought some life into this shopping center. I still wouldn't shop here at night but during the day it's actually a nice place. Today I stayed away because of all the cops in the parking lot but perhaps I will return another day. The store being new is clean and well lit. I believe they also got rid of the bums living in the alley in back. read more

I still love this place. I must tell you about my last experience here on Sunday Jan. 30th. It's no secret that I totally stand out in this area. But everyone I've had come into contact with is pretty nice. It's also no secret how I shop in this store. I'll share that with you. I walk down each aisle looking on one side. When I get to the end, I turn around and walk back looking on the other side of the same aisle. On Sunday, I noticed a guy following very close behind me in one aisle. He wasn't really looking at the items in the aisle but sort of staring right at me. I brush it off. I continue walking down the same aisle but looking on the other side. He's still following me. Still no biggie for me. I then move onto the next aisle. I quickly turned to see if he had followed me. He had and my quick movement caught him by surprise. He froze and had this look of terror on his face like he didn't know what to do. HILARIOUS! He then pretends to look at something on the shelf. Sure buddy....sure! I walked right in front of him. I moved onto the next aisle and here he is again following me like a lost little puppy. I walk a few feet and quickly turned around to look at my hubby and to see if he was still watching me. He was by the way. I pointed him out to my hubby and told him that he has been following us around the whole time and hubby said he noticed. LP made a mad dash out of the aisle like he was in a race. Curiosity got the better of me, I looked for him all over the store but couldn't find him. Hahaha! He and his half empty cart probably hid in the back of the store and watched us on their shitty surveillance camera. This "loss prevention" guy needs better training. He needs to learn how to be less conspicuous. I spotted him from the very start. Not gonna give him any tips but I've got to give him props on at least having a shopping cart that actually had items in it. Hahaha! I've seen LP's empty handed in Costco. Do people really steal from this store? I can't imagine what they would take as almost everything is discounted. A candy bar? A pack of gum?If they actually watched their crappy surveillance videos, they would see that on each of my visits I do walk through each aisle and sometimes even going back and walking through them again to make sure I didn't miss an item. Then if boredom hasn't killed them yet, they would see that I pay for everything in my cart. And if they also have been paying attention, I don't stuff anything in my pockets or under my shirt. And if they were REALLY paying attention to details, they would see that if my hands ever look like they're stuffing unpaid items under my clothes, it's really cuz I'm pulling up my pants or fixing my shirt. You should really rewatch the videos until you can clearly see all of the things I've mentioned above. I then suggest you rewatch the video yet AGAIN just to be sure you've got it! Here's a tip that you may or may not be able to find out on your own, I spend more than $50 on each visit. Now why would I need to steal? Spending money is theraputic for me. Maybe try keeping your eyes on the young hoodlums that come into your store. I've seen seniors steal too. Yes seniors in their motorized wheelchair. I've got a description on the amateur LP guy- dark Latino male, in his 40's, black hair that's sorta spiky at the top, crazy looking thug that you wouldn't want to mess with. Hahahaha! He had his keys in the back pocket of his blue jeans with the white lanyard hanging out like a dog leash. I didn't get a good look but it might have been a Grocery Outlet lanyard. If it was, that would have been freaking hilarious! I've never seen any LP's when I shop here so this was my first time. Maybe the other LP's are waaayyy better than this guy? Who knows and who cares? I will still continue to shop here even after this incident. It was kind of entertaining for me actually. The store's gotta protect their money right? Any questions? This place is awesome!! They have a bunch of things the GO in Modesto doesn't. Their cheese selection always has something cool to offer, from bacon flavored cream cheese to fruit-covered goat cheese. Also got some bagel chips there - amazing!! Whenever I go, they have these HUGE Swiss chocolate bars with almonds inside - $4 for like, kid you not, a pound and a half of chocolate and almond-y goodness! Lasts me like two weeks! I get one almost every time I'm in - I hope they keep stocking that! Best prices, great selection and staff, you will not be disappointed! Came out here, since the Stockton store did not have what I was looking for in stock. First time actually stopping in. First impression; big, clean, and spacious. The store has a lot of variety and options in products. Very nice. The one downfall to this nice store, customer service. All I got in return, from giving a smile and politeness, was a; dirty look, poop face, and having my glass products thrown into a bag...major no no, especially mixing a food item and cleaning product in one bag. So, overall, unless I REALLY need my tea tree oil, maybe I'll return. Maybe by then some personality and actual customer service will be there. I love this Grocery Outlet...The one we have in San Diego is not nearly as nice. The Grocery Outlet in Manteca is like Disneyland. It's so clean and colorful and organized...I could go on and on...Don't be a snob and turn your nose at this discount store...It will be the best thing that ever happened to you as far as grocery shopping! So many cool and exciting things for a lot less than at your usual market. And the best thing is their wine selection........whoa! I suggest that people try shopping here before they try shopping at any of the big name grocery stores that we have in our area. First of all, prices are insanely cheap. Secondly, there are unique products that many stores in Manteca just don't carry. For instance, not too many places carry packaged nitrite free bacon in Manteca maybe except for in the butcher's section but again, I said packaged. I mean, there's some products here that will be found once and then never found again. I was told that the buyer finds an item at a low price and that price gets passed down to their shoppers. I, in my lifetime, have tried many products sold on the market. Now, in my older age, I seek out products that I've never tried before and also scan the ingredients. I tell you, there are definitely some gems sold here that I've never heard of. So, again, try shopping here first before trying the big box grocery stores. read more

Much nicer than the G.O. in Tracy. The aisles are wide, clean, and well stocked. The Tracy store has a "shopping out of boxes" kind of feel. I like to come here before my other shopping because the deals on cereal, yogurt, and snacks are usually much lower. I don't get my milk or creamer here tho. Spoils too quick. Parking lot is kind of sketchy and the location isn't in the best of areas, so lock your doors! read more

Used to shop at Grocery Outlet in San Jose on Payne before moving to Lathrop recently. Like any grocery outlet you can't have expectations of what you're gonna get. They have what they have that day and you buy what they have. Period. Store is far nicer than what we had in SJ. Always a good hunt. I always buy my milk, eggs and coffee creamer here because I find they have the best prices. Fruits and veggies are reasonably priced. I find the meat prices to be regular compared to supermarkets - no bargain there. You can find deals on clothing near the registers. read more
