The people running this store are not on the up and up, be careful when dealing with them and buying items. Or avoid this location all together, the better location is Yucca valley. If you want to return anything they may or may not abide by their own return policy that is printed on their receipts. It states "We gladly return items within 30 days with a receipt" I had a receipt and I only bought the items within 24 hours ago and they denied a full refund. They said they could only return half of the items (that's not stated on the receipt). The manager also stated the owner was having a family night and he should not be disturbed. This is disturbing as I am the customer!! My wife and I used to visit this location daily for food. That's not going to happen and everyone I know will also hear about this. I do not work for the owner of the store I could care less if he's having a family night, hire better staff, I also am supposed to have family night, return my items and be on my way. I'm afraid the manager of this store does not have enough life experience to be a manager. She took all this non-sense personally. I just want to return items to a store that has a return policy. I don't want to hear about your bosses family time. The owner is prob underpaying for staff. At any rate, this makes for very very bad local business and we will be contacting corporate offices next. Moral of the story, be very careful if you must buy your food here, they are NOT on the up and up. BBB will also get notice as well as google reviews. read more

Basic warehouse food store. Mostly bulk, frozen & canned goods. Beer in cans I got was stale.

They always have some great finds and reasonable prices, some days their store it stacked to the gills!! I love it. Ex: 2 personal size watermelons for 5.00. next day they were $2.49 each and they were ripe and so delicious. The watermelons I have bought at Walmart are never ripe, always tasteless and have a very wide rind don't waste your money there. Grocery Outlet has really great buys. read more

What a great find! I wish we had these in South Florida! This place has a little bit of everything. Prices, if they have the name brand, are much cheaper than a regular grocery. I am amidst a nearly month long trip. I needed some sunscreen in a smaller size. $3.99. I got a major brand skin repair cream also for $3.99. Fiji water was $5.99. I pay $9.99. You get the idea. The store is new and super clean with brightly lit wide aisles. Everyone working there is smiling and friendly. Highly recommended! read more

We are huge fans of Grocery Outlet and prior to Grocery Outlet opening in 29, we would regularly visit Grocery Outlets when out of town. We shop almost exclusively now at this Grocery Outlet, except for a few things at Stater Brothers. It is definitely more economical; one of the ways Grocery Outlet offers lower prices is by selling things close to or at the expiration date. Keeping that in mind, we always check our fresh produce carefully. We also check expiration dates on everything, though we are pretty lax with dry goods because expiration dates/best by dates are really more of a suggestion (in our opinion). That said, we've never had issues at this Grocery Outlet and we probably go 1-3 times per week and do small batch shopping. I suppose if you were buying 1 or 2 weeks worth of groceries at a time, this would not be the place for you, and the expiring produce/meat would be a major issue. But for us, it works! We find that they have a lot more dairy free items than Stater Brothers, a lot more fun asian foods, and more unique snacks than your typical grocery store. We have not had any issues with employees and have found everyone to be either the keep-to-themselves type or nice. We hope that Grocery Outlet will stay in 29 Palms. Having lived here 5 years now, it is nice to have some added variety in town! read more

stop selling bad food. I'm about to give up on grocery outlet both in Yucca Valley and 29 Palms. Aldi is my go to now. They have fresh produce and they don't sell you bad food. Outlet sells food that they know is bad. Have you checked out their produce. It looks like it was sitting in the sun for weeks. They're actually charging money for garbage. It doesn't matter what the expiration date is. I've bought many bags of chips with over a month left on the expiration date that were bad. Probably left out in the sun too long. Get your act together and stop poisoning our community. read more

I have seen many post about Grocery Outlet on local FB pages. I had one of the experience ever. I was in line and the clerk turned off her line and put a sign saying next line. i mention to the young male not knowing he was a manger. I said she shouldnt have closed on me with as much of what he still had to ring. He called another clerk and I went there. By then, I was told by him that he was a manager. He was so condsending to me saying they couldn't afford for her to go overtime. I explained that he needed to not have a clerk on the line when she is about to checkout. His tone when he said he was sorry only wanted me to talk to a real manager. I said then I want to talk to the owner. With a smug, he said that would be his father. Now, I telling him to stop saying things because he was basically a smart a&& at that point and only to have the clerk to join him telling me that I was being disrespectful. I told the clerk to step back and finish my order because it as none of his business. He tells me that he is going to cancel my order and demand me to leave the store. I told him that was not a wish thing to do. Now the spoiled rich boy manager is still making unnecessary comments. As I pass him, I said the only reason you have a job is because his dad owns the store. His reply was F$&k you. I have sent a request to the store asking for the owner to call me. I doubt it will get to him or if it does he might not even care. It's funny that I see their employees shoping at Dollar General. Last week, I was loved by the same kid when I realized a very elderly man had been there for quite sometime because his payment went through. There was no offer to help the elderly man other than to put his order to the side. I gave the kid money and said the least someone could do is help him. It wasn't even ten dollars. The elderly man was speechless and left to his vehicle still on his phone trying to figure it out. He did stop for a minute to thank me. The same males that were outline today was impress that I would help someone. I pray that those two males mature and understand disrespecting older people isn't cool. I am in my 60s, have disabilities and a female that served in the Navy. I was greatly offended that these two males thought it was the thing to do is to taunt me. I wonder if the owner cares. I hope Grocery Outlet does. read more

I love the Grocery Outlet in Yucca and was excited to get one in 29. I went several times and it was great until the new owner took over and the whole vibe changed. The quality of food has declined. I have bought several "fresh" items that were not so fresh. I am very disappointed. There are also several new cashiers and most of them are rude. I will not be returning to the Grocery Outlet in 29 while unless their is a change in ownership! read more

I was so excited when they opened a Grocery Outlet in 29. The owners who opened were so friendly and welcoming. Since the new owner took over the whole vibe has changed. Some of my favorite cashiers are no longer there and the new cashiers are kinda rude, especially the guy with the long either very dark brown or black hair. The quality of food has also declined. I had a negative experience at this store. Evidently they have a no return policy. I had the misfortune of buying one of those magnetic screen door thingy and it happen to be the wrong size for my door, and I tried to return it and they wouldn't take it back. They could've taken it and put it right back on the shelf but no even though that I didn't even open the box. Fortunately, it wasn't that expensive . only $4.99. If you buy something there that you would like to return, good luck because they won't take it back. I think it's just bad customer service to have a no return policy. Just my opinion. read more

They sell a lot of brands that I've never heard of before at this store, which at first I thought was a good thing. But after trying many of them that were bland tasting it wasn't good at all. And I didn't find the employees to be very friendly or helpful either. The shopping carts are big, which is nice. But that's not enough for me to shop at Grocery Outlet in Twentynine Palms again. read more

My fiance went in this 29 palms location and had the worst experience with the most highly disrespectful and unprofessional manager on planet earth. She was almost in tears when she arrived home. If you need to get groceries or anything like that. Don't get treated like dirt! There is trusty Stater Bros. right across the street. read more

Haven't been to staters in years but I'm so glad there's another option here in 29 palms. Purchased $85 worth of food for $26! Saved over $50 bucks. Employees very polite, store very well stocked for being day 2. Five stars easily. Oh and the avocados are MASSIVE lol we will be back soon read more
