ALDI DOESN'T SAVE YOU MONEY, ALDI STEALS YOUR MONEY Aldi's bad customer service and bad grocery quality has been addressed frequently on YELP, and it is all fact-based. I complained previously about false advertisement by Aldi, which is only the tip of the ice-berg. It is also true that they have the worst check-out personnel imaginable. Rude is an understatement. Almost every time I check out, there is at least 1 overcharge. One of their repeat abnormalities: banana weights, and charges. There are 2 weight prints, meaning the bananas are weighted twice. The first time I pointed at this, I was given a refund. The second time this occurred, the same manager -- Alyssa her name -- repeatedly ignored the 2 weight prints, alleging the charge was correct. Why would she confirm an overcharge in the first case, then allege it is all correct, while the same abnormality repeats ? In addition, I was overcharged more than 1 USD for the couscous. Alyssa's excuse, in line with their classic false advertisement: "Oh, we accidentally placed the wrong tag to it". None of these are accidental. They used to do the same with apples. I complained multiple times, then they stopped their false advertisement for apples. The cashier was Jamie. A consistently arrogant, intimidating, and rude cashier. Together with Alyssa, they make sure people get defrauded, and verbally abused. Behind this is intentional FRAUD, DECEPTION. ALDI does not save us money. ALDI steals money from us, and sells us low-quality products. ALDI's food poisonings, warnings about expired, contaminated  products, hit the news ongoingly. "Aldi saves money" is not true. Low quality products, together with ongoing false advertisement, and fraud-practicing cashiers/managers guarantee you don't save actually, but lose money. The FDA should audit ALDI routinely, and there should be ongoing audits for deceptive and fraudulent advertisement/sale practices. Report your bad experience here. Refuse to be defrauded and poisoned. read more

Aldi is our favorite grocery store and one that we actively seek out, even if we don't need groceries. So when were in Yucca Valley during my wife's birthday, she wanted to go to see what was available in the 'Aisle of Shame' at this location...found two unique hooks that she's been looking for, along with clothes hangers. The store is well organized and well stocked. Of course, there were many things that were new, and I ended up buying quite a few food items to take back home. -- Grande Alberone Moscato (on sale for $7.99, Was $9.99). Very good, super easy to drink. Should become our new go-to NYE sparkling wine, if we can find it. -- on the opposite end, winking owl wine now comes in 3 liter boxes (comparable to 4 bottles) for $12.95. Supposedly will keep for 30 days after opening? -- Alcohol cheddar varieties for $1.99. Got craft beer cheddar (imperial stout) and purple moon cheddar (petite sirah). Continues to amaze me how inexpensive fresh strawberries are at Aldi's in california, even in the desert. A clamshell 16oz was $2.49, and they looked like good quality. read more

Knowing Aldi in Europe, we were pleased to see how clean and neat this location was. Produce was fresh and store well kept. Staff was confident and friendly! Definitely a go-to if you want quality at bargain prices! read more

I like their low prices, especially for fresh vegetables. I also like their yogurt, catchup, and other items they have on sale. Every time I go shopping, there are only two people: the cashier and a stock person. The way the store is laid out makes it easy to find things. You'll have to bag your own groceries, but that ain't that hard at all. There is a long table where you can sort everything out before you leave. Make sure you have a quarter handy to get a basket before you go inside. Aldi is not part of Trader Joe's... read more

This store just opened. It looks like it will be a nice little change to the community. The prices seem fair, and there is a different selection of foods from that of your regular hometown markets. There are a lot of off brands that I've never heard of, and a lot of the meats are branded by their company name. It is a nice looking store on day one, and I hope they are able to keep it that way. The same goes for the staff. Hopefully they are as friendly in a month as they are today. read more

Consistently long checkout lines, sometimes as many as 15 people waiting for one checker. Only focus seems to be $ using as few employees as possible, resulting in them looking clearly rushed and stressed, and really low quality items, particularly produce. Produce department not kept clean, some items loose and/or rotting, not all items having shelf price tags, overall low quality. Appears they do everything during open business hours like stocking shelves, causing congestion with huge pallets everywhere, another cost saving. I read that their emphasis is low cost. What I see is low cost for them (as in too few employees, poor store maintenance) but I only see occasional lower price on SOME sale items and don't get feel they're low cost for customer, at least not for me. With so much emphasis on price, there's no room for quality or healthy stuff so I find their offerings overall on the junky side, along the lines of Trader Joe's with very high sodium content items to make junk stuff have a taste. Basically I only buy certain sale produce items and spend less than $15 per visit which is maybe 3 times in a month. read more

Shopping cart system that requires a quarter was the start of a terrible shopping experience. Everything I wanted was the same price or more expensive than local grocery stores. Quality and selection was lower in most products, especially meat. As someone with actual corporate experience, it's obvious to me this Aldi store isn't going to last long in Yucca Valley. read more

Super rude cashier. I'd rather pay more than shop here. The store itself is pretty clean overall compared to other ALDIs but rushed off after I paid and didn't give me time to gather my things. Cashier was rude and made me pick up my receipt as she threw it at me. My children were with me and made comment like wow she doesn't seem happy. We will shop elsewhere. read more

I live in YV and have been going to this location weekly since it opened. I'm about to cut my losses though, as the overall experience has gotten to be so bad. This has nothing to do with the "Aldi model" btw. I'm totally unbothered by the quarter system or the bagging system. Firstly just want to say that I've only had good experiences with the staff I regularly interact with. They're all great but management NEEDS to hire more people. The poor employees are obviously overworked and not able to keep up with inventory and properly maintaining the store. More importantly though, for the last several months, every time I get home at least one thing I've purchased is rotten. Yesterday, I came home to find two of the lemons in the bag I got were mushy and moldy and green caterpillars in the broccoli. The way they're packaged makes it hard to tell until they're opened. I also saw mold on the bread in-store. In the past, I've had to notify the staff of days-expired meat out on the shelves. Moldy greens and cilantro. It's just disgusting. Really hope management gets their shit together and does something but, until then, I think I'm done. The prices aren't worth risking my family's health. read more

This place is completely understaffed and mismanaged. There was a giant snaking checkout line. 30 min wait. I will never comeback.

Lots of space...not much choice. A number of items that I needed were extremely high in sodium (20% - 41%).

I've been to ALDI a few times now. I bought just a small number of items and except for one time, I brought my own bags. Unfortunately, I did not really follow the "ALDI way" of checking out. And that way is that you had better have a cart even if you are buying just two things. Otherwise the cashier holds up your items and gives you a rude look while you try to put them in your bag and pay at the same time. The store seems pretty clean and neat. I like the vegetables and chocolate. I'll come back again and hopefully I'll check out the "right way" and won't get any more dirty looks from the checkers. read more

I was really hoping to like the new Aldi! It was my second time visiting an Aldi store and unfortunately I'm just not a fan. Why? Not enough organic vegetables and fruit. I found 2 organic produce items - potatoes and cherry tomatoes. They had a few random vegan options in the refrigerated area (hummus and cashew dips - the smokey chedd'r cashew dip is SO good). The cashier was not friendly, she said nothing to me, and looked completely miserable that she had to stop sorting boxes because I walked to the checkout. Oh and she was coughing up a storm - gross. Overall, there's something really weird about Aldi. I just don't like the vibe. I will stick with Groce Out! I won't be back unless I need to use the bathroom - 5 stars for being clean! read more

I'm a huge fan of boutique grocers especially when they are new and offer affordable prices. In fact, it's why I've been such an advocate of writing first-time reviews in the case last was for Trader Joes in Fort Lauderdale which ran out of food ongoing for months after they opened... ALDI is one of those brands that service people like me who love to try new organic and packaged foods without having to enter a massive fluorescent room and walk out dizzy. Great job to ALDI on the location and remaining sustainable in what is already here in terms of staying within an existing shopping center and proximity to JT and Yucca Valley. I will definitely be bringing friends and talking with locals alike on my gratitude to shop boutique grocery in the hi-desert. read more

I love to go IN and just look àt all the different items they have at an inexpensive price. So I buy all of them.

Not a fan. Very limited variety....almost nothing organic. What grocery store opens at 9am...that is moronic. Especially in a desert area where it's hot in the summer. Seems like a very wokes policy to me....do they think everyone gets up at noon? They could have had at least one day they open at a reasonable hour.mStaff isn't very friendly either for the most part. read more
