It states "We gladly return items within 30 days with a receipt" I had a receipt and I only bought the items within 24 hours ago and they denied a full refund. They said they could only return half of the items (that's not stated on the receipt). The manager also stated the owner was having a family night and he should not be disturbed. This is disturbing as I am the customer!! My wife and I used to visit this location daily for food. That's not going to happen and everyone I know will also hear about this. I do not work for the owner of the store I could care less if he's having a family night, hire better staff, I also am supposed to have family night, return my items and be on my way. I'm afraid the manager of this store does not have enough life experience to be a manager. She took all this non-sense personally. I just want to return items to a store that has a return policy. I don't want to hear about your bosses family time. The owner is prob underpaying for staff. At any rate, this makes for very very bad local business and we will be contacting corporate offices next. I got some spinach and radishes this week that are just divine; I've been putting them in everything. (I suggest putting some fresh spinach at the bottom of your ramen bowl and letting the hot broth soften the leaves up; sliced radishes go on top) The tamales I got this week were AMAZING. A couple years back I got some not-good tamales, but when I saw the vendor this week I was like "yes, these are the good tamales!!!" I've been a customer of theirs for almost 15 years -- when they first began selling at the Beverly Hills Farmers Market. I was ecstatic (and did cartwheels) when I found them out here throughout the Coachella Valley. Nearly all their hummus & dips are 100% vegan & gluten-free and made fresh with all natural ingredients at their own distribution center kitchen. They have at least a dozen flavors of hummus. But my favorite is the basic Original Hummus. I also LOVE their Tahini...and Eggplant Dip. I can count on 10 people's hands how many meals & snacks I've created & cooked with these 3 products through the years...and it contributed to winning over my wife's heart when we first began dating and I made lunches & dinners for her. Very friendly, gave me prices and sizes, and told me she would take care of me when I got there. I got there about an hour later, didn't tell her it was me on the phone, and STILL got great customer service. Welcomed me to the store, was quick to offer options, I even needed more shrimp than what they had and she went out of her way to go get more and thaw it for me. I went to grab a few extra things and by the time I came back she already had the extra shrimp bagged and tagged, ready to go. She was cleaning, helping, and being friendly, all by herself! Around 7 PM on May 14, 2026, the woman working the register couldn't even do the bare minimum of acknowledging a customer. After buying a beer from HER register, I asked twice for a bag because my hands were full and I was trying to safely hold my son's hand in the parking lot. She completely ignored me both times and went right back to staring at her phone like customers who spend money were an inconvenience. Not even a "sorry," not even a "we don't have bags." Just rude, lazy, dismissive behavior. Meanwhile the parking lot right outside the door is a mess with people whipping into parking spaces, and I'm standing there trying to carry everything while making sure my son doesn't get hit by a car. The lack of basic awareness or decency was unbelievable. If this is the kind of customer service this place now allows, longtime customers clearly don't matter anymore. Management should probably spend less time letting employees play on their phones and more time teaching basic respect and professionalism.
