Wood fire grilled calamari in lemon, olive oil and parsley
    Steve C.

Dining with new friends we met at the table next to us today; the ownership, and staff at Andrioli is always an absolute pleasure. Today we went with a consistent favorite (wood-fire grilled fresh Branzino) and a new recommendation, perfectly cooked veal chop with veg. It's such a joy dining among others who also savor the food and take in experience. Their ambiance is without equal. Take your time, enjoy each bite. Share with your neighbors like they and we did. Old standards and new dishes alike.

Grilled marinated calamari that is just the best ever!!!

Each time I come here, Andreoli's doesn't disappoint. My favorite is the Calamaretti, can't stop talking about it as it is totally amazing and different than any I've eaten around the world, Italy included! Service is excellent and the ambiance is of course Italian. Love the old furniture and the presence of old pictures and pots and pans!!!

I love this place so much. True Italian food, great service, the vibes are always high. I usually get the sandwiches but I went in and tried their pasta and it was absolutely perfect. The pasta was perfectly al dente, sausage was tender, peas weren't mushy, and the sauce was a mix of tomato with cream. Ate the whole thing. Met the owner and he is a true Italian from Sicily and knows his stuff. Truly my new fav Italian place in Scottsdale.

we visited on a friday night and there wasnt a wait. staff were super friendly and and the environment was super warm and cozy. there was complimentary bread which was a bit on the tougher side but i cant complain bc everyone loves free bread. we got the number 9 sandwich which was lowk kinda small but still good! we also got the spaghetti + fresh clams and you could taste how fresh it is and the spaghetti had a good al dente chew to it. overall, it had very bougie vibes w a reasonable price and id def come back to try some of their other items if i was in the area !!

Authentic Italian restaurant, even been on diners drive in and dives! Family owned! Ambiance is home vibes, food is great and service good. (I like North's rigatoni better, but my bf is obsessed with Andreolis) haha

Cooking with love and consistency is a way to my heart. Andreoli's holds a big place in my heart. Everything I order is always so delicious. Homemade pasta is a classic. I order the Pomadoro. Homemade bread is paired with EVOO Chocolate Mousse is so velvety smooth The service is amazing

Great food and really nice people Carpaccio beef salad was delicious. The drizzle of lemon on the salad lifted the olive oil dressing. Cafone sandwich well flavored and seasoned. The bread had a good crunch. The salad was refreshing I enjoyed the cannoli. Although I am not a fan of cinnamon it did not overwhelm the cannoli.

Some restaurants serve dinner. Some make you feel like family the moment you walk through the door. Andreoli Italian Grocer is that place for us. From the energy in the room, to the espresso, desserts, conversation, and incredible food... every visit feels personal. Giovanni Scorzo, a James Beard nominee, has created something rare... a place that feels authentic, welcoming, and built around people first. What makes Andreoli's special isn't just the food -- although it's outstanding... it's the way Giovanni, Francesca, and the entire team treat you. They genuinely make you feel like family. In a world of over-polished dining experiences, Andreoli's feels real. Warm. Italian. Alive. One of our favorite places in Arizona, without question.

Andreoli is a great place to eat. The photos don't do justice to the food and atmosphere. Please look at them, but remember it is about the food, which is so well prepared and full-flavored. The menus are on the wall at the check-out counter. Read them on your feet. While standing, the matre'de will ask whether you wish to sit inside or outside the restaurant. The host will give you the table number he has reserved for you. When you have finished ordering, you go to your seat. They will deliver it to you. When done, your table will be bused. You can remain seated as many others do. When seated, take note of the half-corks. They keep your fork from touching the napkin or any other part of the table top. Please see the photo. Their #1 on the menu is sausage and peppers. It's also mine. It is toughly grilled and dark, not bitter/burnt tasting. Andreoli serves the salad with a light oil and vinaigrette. If water is your beverage, you get a class filled with ice. They also sell pear juice and other interesting drinks. Delights, such as pistachio-flavored cannoli, are also available in the bakery case. . Andreoli Deli is impeccable, down to its here-to-unmention service and sanitation. They make informal dining an extreme pleasure.

First time visit . I've been wanting to try it since we moved here but had never gotten around to it. First of all, great looking joint and atmosphere. You can tell the place is filled with regulars. I was by myself and ordered the spicy soppressata, smoked mozzarella on focaccia. Had a nice little side salad. The sandwich was toasted ...but really felt more panini. Very nice and spicy but if I'm being honest panini isn't my favorite . I finished with a delicious chocolate croissant. I have several things I'd like to try so I'm going to have to work my way through the menus items. I'll bring my wife next time!

Ok, I cannot just leave without leaving to these guys a review. As far as I remember, I can place this place in the top 10 Italian restaurants in the United States. Please guys., listen this is a very good place to eat. Family and they are really nice and they love what they're doing. The food has taste. The food is clean thank you.

A must-try in the Scottsdale area! I have eaten all over the world and lived in SF/NYC and dined in multiple cities in Italy--Andreoli is officially my favorite dining experience in the Phoenix area. If you're looking for a "fine dining" scene, this is not for you. But if you're looking to delight the palate with truly authentic Italian food in a communal dining experience, this place is IT! The staff makes the delectable food complete. Family-owned and operated with delightful service--our server Francesca & Rosario went above and beyond. We love this place! Even my 7-month-old loved the homemade bread, steak, and frites. It's like walking into a family dining room. Added bonus: it's a marketplace! I'm doing all my gifting here moving forward. Everything is imported from Italy and very unique for gifts. They even carry imported truffles from my favorite region--truffle season is only available for maybe another month, so you can take home items from the market. I can't wait for many more visits to Andreolis!

My friends thought it could have been more "refreshing" (seems more wine heavy but was still delicious to me!) Bread and garlic butter - A must order. So tasty. We weren't ready! I think he was disappointed that we were not going to build a big bar tab. Only 2 of us ordered from the bar list. Now to the food. We've eaten at this place many many times over the years. And returned because the food and service were excellent. However this time, our food was far from what we expected, and the waiter seemed like he wished he were anywhere else but there! The appetizer ordered was so haphazardly put on the plate, and was also not tasty. My husband's salmon was thin and dry. I don't think this place has seen any updating since it opened. Currently, it feels dank and dirty with no signs of welcoming any changes. It's always sad to see the neglect of management/investors in not protecting their stock in trade- their reputation and respect for their customers.

This is about how we were treated last night -- not the food…read more I really avoid giving poor reviews but in this case, I think others need to be aware of what they may encounter even with a reservation at DiMaggio's. I write this as someone who enjoys their food and has spent many hundreds of dollars there in the past. Last night, I arrived a few minutes early for our 6:15 reservation for a party of 2 while my dining companion was parking her car. The hostess took me to a table outside, on their empty patio, and said it was the only table they had. I explained that sitting in 105 ℉ heat and very high humidity around a sea of empty tables would not make for a pleasant dining experience. Do you have another table, please? Recognizing that their tables were probably all booked, I offered for us to sit at a high-top in the bar area or at the bar, if that would help. There were open high-top tables and several open seats at the bar. Well, even that was fruitless. I was informed that the open bar seats were "reserved for the owner's daughter," which was an effective way of telling me my business is unimportant to them. Meanwhile, an older gentleman in a suit who appeared to be a host, stood there watching the situation and doing nothing to help honor our reservation. So, I left. As someone who enjoys their food and has patronized DiMaggio's on multiple occasions, their dismissive treatment left me not wanting to return. So, if you have a reservation, I suggest confirming that they have an acceptable table for your party's needs. And as for the guy in a suit, next time do something to help your guests and hostesses alike.

I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.

On this trip we had a margarita pizza, chicken parm, and a side of meatballs, we also had a Caesar salad. Everything was 10/10 the freshness of each dish is present in the rich flavors, the freshest basil I've ever had on a pizza and as I love tons of it! The tomato sliced thin so it took in some heat and charred just a bit. The crust is like nothing I've ever had almost like focaccia bread but thinner the perfect crispiness. Now this chicken parm, it's huge we split it and left with 1/2! Comes with angel hair marinara and green beans, it's crisp but with a light breading and yet it's fully breaded again not like any chicken parm I've had, the angel hair marinara is super flavorful for a simple side plus buttery net not oil green beans.
