I literally didn't have to eat the rest of the day after eating this. decent amount of lox and other toppings (onion, capers, tomatoes). Every time my wife and I go to Fountain Hills we HAVE to go to DJ's Bagel Cafe. The food is always fresh and tastes AMAZING, one of the best Italian subs and lox bagels I've ever had, and EVERY single one of the employees go above and beyond, just today, I was interested in trying the Greek antipasto but decided to go with the Italian one instead. When I received my food the waitress gave me a small sample so I didn't feel left out. The pastries are amazing, all the baked goods are really, and the salads are great. 10/10 read more

Stopped here after a bike race.... It was really busy, you order at the counter, and wait for your food, which came out very quick. I got a sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, which was pretty good. Their macaroni salad was REALLY good.... also love a good cannoli, and was surprised by how perfect it was. Went into this "bagel" shop to purchase a bag of bagels. The emotionless, irresponsible teenager behind the counter charged my card $148 instead of $14.80 that she was supposed to, so then without even saying anything she then ran my card again and then informed me that "I mistakenly charged your card $148 instead of $14.80 but I voided it and charged the correct amount and the hold for the first amount should drop off of your bank in a few days." I stood there with my mouth open and decided at that moment I was never going to use my hard earned money to support this business again. Crap bagel and even worse employees. Solid bagel! Came here after a stroll around the fountain with my husband and son. My husband got bagel sandwiches and some treats and I got an everything bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese. Everything was ready fast even though it was a bit busy! The bagel was good but they definitely skimp on the seasonings, it didn't even look like an everything bagel. It tasted good though, just would've preferred more seasonings on top! The veggie cream cheese was the star of the show, super delicious. I shared by bagel with my almost 14 month old and he kept signing "more" and putting his hand out for another piece hahaha so it gets his stamp of approval! The staff is patient, there are a lot of choices..... today I got the breakfast bagel with bacon (you can get ham, Canadian bacon, fried bologna, omg the list is so long, basically whatever you'd want on a breakfast bagel they got it! We also got a Happy Wrap- turkey and avocado. It was ok (lots of avocado) I love avocado but it was a little too much The cannoli was soooo good. Oh and the Greek pasta salad. If you're looking for a great breakfast/lunch spot or a good locally owned and operated, try them out! The service is mostly good and always friendly! This spot gets quite busy in the weekends as it is the gem of FH in my opinion. They have speciality sandwiches, wraps, salads, etc and something for everyone! The prices are pretty fair too! Pretty solid bagels with MANY flavor options. The restaurant is on the smaller side with a couple tables inside but also has a patio for diners! WOW!!! I've been a customer for a very long time and have had my share of ups and downs with DJs, but nothing compares to having your order screwed up...AGAIN! When you drive in from Mesa and only order SIX bagels, it should be done correctly! Not here! The aggravating thing is that the ding dong taking my order screwed it up reading it back to me! No problem... I corrected her and thought we had it straight - it's SIX bagels! OH, HELL NO!!! Although I should have checked prior to leaving, I really didn't think the bagels were smarter than some of the employees!!! Sadly, I was wrong!!! This is a fabulous place for bagels and sammies. The prices are reasonable, service is fast and the workers are very friendly! They also have a wonderful selection of bagels, bread and cheeses. I liked that they were able to accommodate my vegan requests, so that was a plus! The portions here are VERY generous, so if you're a petite person like me, be prepared to have leftovers! This is a dog-friendly spot, so bring your fur babies if you wish. We sat outside as this place was a bit small and we didn't want to be too close to patrons as they enjoyed their food. Damn near every time I try this place, the order is wrong (how hard is it to not put mayo or a pickle on a sandwich) or they lose my order in the back after I've paid and sat or stood in the restaurant for 20-30 minutes. The ones I had were unfortunately in the hotel and were just okay. I was skeptical at first. I ordered a bialy while my friend ordered a breakfast bagel.
