Small twist but I had already bitten the top off. Couldn't wait! Haha

This place has 5 stars for good reason! I had been wanting to go here for a while, as it keeps winning Hunterdon Happening's best ice cream. Now I get it! I just got a small twist in a cone, but it was creamy and delicious! Just perfect on a hot summers day. My aunt ordered the peanut butter sundae and it was thick and yummy too! I love the old fashioned style of the place and how friendly everyone is. Will definitely be back to try more!

I love driving over to Jimmy's on a summer night. I live in phillipsburg so it's about a 15 minute drive over there but worth the trip for the ice cream! My go to is hard chocolate BUT they do not have hard chocolate, only soft serve chocolate! Just an FYI but still plenty of other flavors to choose from!

They are open again for the season and doing a "drive-up" ice cream ordering service. Well run and the ice cream and food is as good as ever!

This part of the Delaware Valley is sprinkled with classic T.Bird styled ice cream stands; the kind that make childhood so special. The ascending jutting roofline and glass encasements, as dramatic today as when the concept was first designed and constructed in the middle of the last century. And, they all seem to have great soft serve ice cream and a large number of hard ice cream flavors to kvell over. Some, like Jimmy's also do the fast food thing very well. Grease burgers, sandwiches, fries, etc., are all turned out here just like they were for your grandparents. Personally, I find it hard to drive past any of them without stopping for a sample of their version of dreamy creamy delight. On a perfect April day after a few hours too many sitting in court with a client who wasn't prepared to deal with his circumstances, Jimmy's appeared like a desert oasis after days in the blowing sand. Had I been hungry, those burgers' siren song would have tempted me more, but I didn't need much of an excuse to try a small cup of soft vanilla on top of their version of butter pecan. The soft swirled crown was great, but tasted the same as many of the way stations along the river. Sweet, creamy, cool, addictive. They must all share the recipe. The hard butter pecan was excellent, too. Plenty of soft, chewy pecans mixed in with top notch toffee flavored dark tan base. All I can say is that it was gone too soon. Made me hope for another court date nearby in warm weather, so that I could have another crack at Jimmy's, and maybe have a run at that miniature golf course next door.

The best ice cream around! Everything is fresh and clean. Ive never had anything bad since they reopened. They have so many sundae variations that you have no choice, but to go back multiple times. The food is great too. Must have is the Heart Attack Burger, anything with pork roll is boss!!

Delicious ice cream, plenty of parking and lots of seating outside. We went over Memorial Day weekend and the wait was long but worth it

We landed on cannoli and cookies and cream and were both THRILLED. In fact, I'm normally, NOT a fan of cookies and cream and it was delicious! The service was quick and friendly, we even had a chance to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous weather and river views as we finished our ice cream. If you are looking for a place to spend the afternoon I would head to Englishtown, walk around and stop for a treat. It can be a cute romantic adventure or easily a family friendly one. We can not wait to return.

So my daughter got vanilla, wife got some churro flavor and I got vanilla chocolate chip (no offer of cookie dough to my dismay). My daughter took one taste and hated it, didn't eat it and threw it out (she's not all that hard to please with vanilla ice cream). I tried it and had to agree. Mine tasted like that too but with chips. I'd say it had zero vanilla flavor, or any flavor, and it wasn't sweet at all. Really blah ice cream. Not good at all. My wife didn't really like hers either. Definitely would not come back. On a positive note, there were lots of other people sitting out there (it was July 4th) and seemed to be enjoying their ice cream. So who knows. We didn't like it.

The parking lot is shared with another company so it can get crowded. The inside has an open area so the line can curl around and towards the door. You can eat in a small area along the front window or find a table. Space is limited so a lot of people opted to just eat outside. There's a big chalkboard along the wall that my kid got a kick out of drawing on. The staff was mostly friendly young kids. They have a lot of flavors to choose from. I went with a small cookies and cream. The serving was pretty big! I have to say I agree with some other Yelpers that it's good ice cream, but it's not GREAT blow your mind away in the flavor department. My son got a mix of vanilla and chocolate and I felt the same way when I sampled his, it was good, but missing a notch or two in the flavor department ..... Of course he thought it was awesome and the best ice cream in the world! Prices were $7.25 for a couple of scoops in a cup. I thought it was pretty fair. Good stuff, but not great. My expectations were much higher for the lines I've seen this place have. Thanks guys!

They were very sweet and happily accommodated our 7mo old daughter with a highchair (and buttered rigatoni!). Our reservation was a 6:15, and we were promptly seated in a beautiful part of the dining room. They had vases full of garlic scapes, peonies, hydrangeas. The decor and ambiance was beautiful. On each table, they had a small vase of fragrant herbs. The dinner is $95 and three courses. We chose from an entree list of duck confit, hake, and summer risotto. We chose the hake and duck to share, The first course was an herby salad with little gem lettuce, bacon, and crispy croutons. I love an herby salad so this was very delicious. The hake with hollandaise sauce and asparagus was good perfectly, it was a really delicious, plump piece of fish. The Eaton mess for dessert was fabulous. Berry preserves, berry sorbet, vanilla ice cream, and merengue. A winning combination. I definitely recommend as a destination restaurant along this cute Delaware River town. PS it's BYOB!

The food, however, was something of a disappointment; for a restaurant with this many accolades and a very small menu, I would not expect the confit to be dried out or the sole to be dry and mealy.
