I went to Gronsky's Milk House for breakfast this morning, because I wanted to try their breakfast burrito. The burrito is huge! Bacon, scrambled eggs, home fries and pepper jack cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla and served with salsa. Outstanding! I didn't get the pancake of the month, which is mint chocolate chip, but let me tell you the pancakes are huge! April will be carrot cake pancakes and I will definitely be ordering one! I sat at the counter and had a nice conversation with some very nice ladies that grew up in the area. Staff is super busy but very accommodating! Stumbled across this little restaurant after a run on the Columbia trail. I came with a group and we were all very satisfied with our meals. Customer service was very friendly. Service was fast. So, we hit up Gronsky's Milk House for a late breakfast around 11, and guess what? We got seated right away! Totally wasn't expecting that since this place is usually very busy. The food was amazing as always. I kept it simple with a plain pancake, but man, it was anything but plain they are huge, fluffy, and full of flavor. My husband insisted it was so good because they use real quality butter. My favorite thing was the bacon....finally, someone knows how to do it right. It was crispy, just how I like it, not that limp, chewy mess you get at other spots. I also got the potatoes and they were seasoned to perfection. The staff was super friendly and on point, which gave the place a really friendly laid back vibe. First time for my hubby, and even with his picky tastes, he was all smiles. I went to Gronskys while visiting a friend. Cute, cozy local spot to enjoy breakfast with a store at the front with milk, ice cream and some grocery items and coffee bar. We waited about 15 minutes for a table it was very busy on a Saturday morning. We were seated at the bar and both ordered the breakfast bowl! I asked for potatoes well done and breakfast sausage. Everything came out within 10 minutes. One of the cooks was pretty friendly when he dropped our meals off and said this was one of their most popular dishes. It looked spectacular! Flavor wise we needed some work the eggs well they were eggs so no problems there but the potatoes weren't crisp and they had no flavor, the butterflied sausage was perfect! I asked for some salsa and that helped jazz it up a bit. It was a large portion my friend and I honestly could have shared. Visited Gronskys around 11 on a Saturday. Despite being busy, the two of us waited a short 15 min for an inside table. Our waitress and another waitress were very friendly, accommodating and had perfect timing when checking in on us. The staff behind the bar top were also friendly and interactive with us! The breakfast bowl with pork roll/taylor ham was amazing. Perfect mix of all of the ingredients and very filling! Probably could've saved some for later but it was just too good and the bowl was empty by the time we left. Highly recommend and we will be back! Small local place that I frequent rarely because it's a little out of the way. Friendly service. Omelette's were above average quality and very large. Bacon is typical diner bacon, thin, streaky & crispy, not the thick meaty rashers I look for! Coffee is typical NJ diner quality so not great. Had many people tell me in the comments of my video's that I needed to try this place so the next time I was passing anywhere near here, I came! Gronsky's is set off of Route 31 a bit but it's far more quiet than the highway area and sits on a nice little stream. It was quite cold when I went but I could imagine it being nice to sit at one of the picnic tables outside and enjoy my food or ice cream. I did see they had a full ice cream setup and that is probably their main draw, but today I am here for the "Jersey Meat", Egg, and Cheese sandwich. Jersey meat = Taylor Ham/Pork Roll, I just refuse to argue about the name of it. 3 slices of the meat, nice roll, plenty of cheese. I would say this was a solid stop and I would regret coming here and making the purchase. The sandwich was $8 and it is cash only. I love this place but rarely get the chance to go when it's NOT busy. On a weekend, you almost always have to wait. That's how good it is! The pancakes are a staple. Good chew on them. Great flavor. Today, I got the Hash and Eggs. Soooo good. REAL corned beef! A little on the greasy side but that's because I had them nix the potatoes that go in it. I can't rave about it enough. Absolutely 100% five stars! Stopped by for breakfast while visiting the area, it was packed (a good sign), but seated at the counter pretty quickly. The omelettes are big, beautiful but my favorite is their pancake! You only need one it's huge it's good and they have fresh fruit in them! No canned fruit Yes. The ice cream options were fantastic with some creative flavor combinations. it was well worth the stop. The ice cream tasted amazing! Unfortunately, we arrived 10 minutes before closing and, while the young lady who waited on us was super sweet and friendly, the person-in-charge (owner?) seemed annoyed and abrupt. It's located near a small stream and picnic tables are set up to enjoy your ice cream with the sounds of the river. Prices are a little bit high, but the flavors are great. I chose chocolate peanut butter, with some coffee ice cream in a cup. Not Wheelchair Accessible as stated in their info. Unfortunately, we can't review their food because we drove all the way there because their info stated they are wheelchair accessible - which they are not. They have a short, incline leading to their front door (which when I spoke to them they said that's why they are accessible) however, there is no way to get to it because the entire building has a curb all the way around it. (approx 3-4 inch curb/step up.). There is a small curb cut area in the rear (that the owner also mentioned to me) but it is not accessible because they have a bunch of stuff blocking it (large planters with trees etc) so the space to get thru is not wide enough for a wheelchair at all. Add that to absolutely no handicap parking - so for someone with a ramped wheelchair van that's a problem also. I'm sure the food is great, location looked pretty by the water, but do not list yourself as wheelchair accessible when it's not true. read more

Now a Taylor Ham, egg and cheese isn't exactly rocket science. Sure you can mess it up with a stale roll or overcooking the meat. But I figured how good could it be to be mentioned as one of the best in New Jersey? Well all I have to say is wow. I don't know what they do, but they make a sublime Taylor ham egg and cheese. The other food is good too. I love their home fries and their hash and eggs has to be one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere. Same for the "breakfast bowl". Great atmosphere inside and out. We visited on July 3 and the kitchen was closed so we only could get ice cream. We split a sundae and the ice cream was great. We wished they had a different container because as soon as we walked out the door the Cherry fell off onto the ground and we had to scramble to eat the top layers that didn't fit in the cup. They have hot fudge and wet walnuts though I only tasted chocolate. We had the Chocolicious, mint chip And chocolate peanut butter. They had a decent selection of flavors with a couple classics and some fun ones like this coconut flavor, lemon bar, blueberries and cream and more. The icecream wasn't overly sweet and was EXTREMELY creamy. There's nothing worse than hard icecream that's too hard. The texture of theirs was perfect! It's a small icecream place with a decently sized cafe in the back. The girls at the icecream counter were very sweet and extremely attentive. I love to sit next to the river while eating my ice cream and don't even get me started on their breakfast! My daughter has 12 allergies, although my little Annabelle has so many allergies, she is still able to grab a bite. They have some dairy free options that are perfect for those with allergies! The staff and service is so amazing! The vibe inside is very calm and cozy. When you are outside, the vibe is very nature, earthy, and beautiful. Cute local divey riverside breakfast spot on the outskirts of High Bridge's "downtown" area. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is cooked before your eyes in the tiny open kitchen. I had the chunky homestyle corned beef hash with two eggs. Sometimes I prefer this style of corned beef hash to the kind that comes from a can (sometimes I prefer the can though). It was very good. They are well known for their pancakes that are larger than the size of a dinner plate. I will be back to try one of those but I'll be sure to bring someone along to share it with! The service was fine and efficient. They have an ice cream shop attached that opens later in the day. You can order your ice cream to go at the window. Horribly degrading experience: They rudely made several excuses on why they didn't want to serve my family. I walk in with my pregnant wife and two small children, say "hello we've never been here before and want to sit outside in one of the tables by the river." At first we are told sure but we have to order takeout with no service, ok. Then we are told we could only get sandwiches to go, even though there were 2 families at other tables outside with full service. Explicitly "no pancakes outside" .... Wtf? My daughter falls to the ground crying when told she cannot eat pancakes outside. Staff see this and walk away callously. We leave to cool the children off and I walk back in to clarify that we just want to eat breakfast at one of THEIR tables outside. This is when they went full degenerate mode. I ask them again if we could just get regular breakfast and I put it in a to-go container, clarifying that we just want to eat outside by the river, and was told again by the now strangely nervous lady that only sandwiches are to go. I ask why and the chef butts in shouting that the "grill isn't big enough" . What? That doesn't make any sense. So I ask: "but if I sit inside then the grill is big enough?" "that's right" he says. "Ok" , I respond, "then what if we order breakfast and my kids don't finish it and ask for a to-go container?" With a smug sh eating grin he says "then I throw your food in the trash." That was the last straw. I told them off and walked out. Don't have outside seating if you're going to have made up on the spot rules on how people get to sit at your restaurant. And don't be in the restaurant business if you're going to be so down right mean to potential customers. Maybe they misunderstood? We JUST WANTED TO EAT BREAKFAST AT THEIR OUTDOOR SEATING like the other families were doing and we were made to feel like garbage about it. I hope the owner finds out about this.
