I'm impressed and pleasantly surprised. The reviews left me skeptical. I bought my two and a half year old Chihuahua here for a hair cut, nails filed, and shedding treatment. This is her second visit and my experience has seriously been top of the line. I made an appointment a week ago and we arrived on time, Cee-Cee was immediately seen and the groomer remembered her from the last visit. Cee-Cee recognized him as well. Cee-Cee was returned to me later that afternoon unscathed, clean, and smelling like a million bucks. The shedding treatment has been a great success, I've noticed that the shedding which is usually a lot this time of year has decreased significantly. I wouldn't wash my dog here again just because I have a very small chihuahua who i can pretty much throw in the sink and wash. I came here to see what the fuss was about, and I liked the idea of washing your dog without the mess. It wasn't the cleanest place in the back (to be expected when there's plenty of shedding dogs running around) and I found the water temp to be a bit warmer than I would use, but they let my dog have some essential oil drops after which smelled heavenly and I 100% WOULD return just to buy those. All in all I think if you have a bigger dog and it's a hassle to watch them, this is a good place to go. read more

PLEASE BE AWARE of who you leave your dog with. In my case, I learned it the hard way. After coming here for a year to get my dog's nails cut and not having any issues with older Latin gentleman. Today, it was the slender white guy, with an accent who's usually at the front desk. I should left once I didn't see the usual man, but went through with it. He started by trying to drag my Lucia across the lobby via the leash, as she she hunkered down on the floor. Then, once he saw the shocked look on my face he lifted her up and carried. Not more than two minutes into the grinding/clipping of her nails, I heard continuous squeals and cries, as well as Lucia trying to pull her paws away. So, based on my previous experiences here, where this never happened, I walked over to the back; with the idea of trying to comfort her. As I walked up to the glass, I watched this guy grab her by the neck skin, pull her towards him, aggressively scolded her and told her to shut up. At this point, I opened the door shaking, told the guy that's enough and this is not okay. I still don't know how I walked out of there without slamming this guy. Never again will I bring my dog here. So, if this is what he does when he knows the dog's owner is within view, imagine what he does when the owners are not around. read more

I dropped my dog off here for grooming and when I picked her up she could not open her left eye. The receptionist agreed not to charge me for the service as they injured our dog. Still unable to open her eye a day later, I took her to the vet who diagnosed here with a "severe" corneal ulcer requiring 4 medications, a week in a cone, three vet visits, and 3 and 1/2 weeks for her to heal. The vet confirmed with us that her eye had been scratched with a sharp object, possibly scissors. The shop owner agreed to pay the vet fee but only if we paid the $90 grooming fee accusing me of leaving the his business and "refusing to pay" despite being informed of his staff waiving the fee. It took weeks of conversations to get him to pay for the damage done to our dog. When he did agree to waive the grooming fee, it was on the condition that we would not be welcome back to his business. read more

My dog is super friendly but huge (he's a Rottie). I took him here for a bath & the guy who was going to wash him didn't speak much English was he was so sweet to my Brutty. I stayed a bit just to see how the wash process goes this was his first time getting a bath at a salon. He was excited to get there honestly. My only problem is that when it was time to pick him up he wouldn't come out of the crate they had him in. I had to go in the back and get him myself which was weird, he thinks EVERY ONE is his friend, even cats. But I chalked it up to it him just being scared of a new environment. Any who after he came out the cage he literally ran out of that place. It wasn't until we got home I noticed that a knot he previously had on his head, seemed as if it might've been scrubbed too hard. I did let the people know about the knot I'm just not too sure if they understood me. But other than that from when I've been he was well taken care of. BEWARE. THIS BUSINESS ABUSES ANIMALS! I dropped of my shih tzu earlier today for a haircut. When I scheduled the appointment I asked for their most experience groomer as Bella tends to be stubborn when it comes to cuts. Luckily I got there early to pick her up or else I would not have seen with my own eyes the abuse taking place here! The groomer who is a male goes by a name that sounds like 'Yoseo'. I witnessed him pulling on Bella's hair to pull her head back so he could trim her chin hair so hard that she screamed and tried to get away from his hold. He did this several times. She wasn't harnessed to the grooming table so when she stepped back from the groomer she fell off the table which is 3 feet high. She could have broken a leg. Yoseo proceeds to laugh at Bella after she fell and so did the other groomers around. When I made my presence known the groomer noticeably treated her more gently but the harm was already done. When Bella was handed to me she was shaking and so afraid. The receptionist said she was being aggressive but she was only doing this because the groomer was physically hurting her and she was simply defending herself. I don't care for a phony apology from the owner because I witnessed EVERYTHING with my own eyes. There is nothing you can say to justify the groomers actions. After reading other reviews i realized I should have NEVER come here and I only hope this business is shutdown so the abuse does not continue. 0 fucking stars!! ***EDIT*** At first, I gave Dog Wash 'N Go full marks. It's a *beautiful* storefront and has a huge, bright window for dogs to look out when they're in daycare. The cuts from the groomer have been great, and my husband and I heavily rely on DWNG to take care of our puppy because of our long hours in the city. But in the two months we've been taking our pup to daycare here, several things have happened: -Even though the store hours are posted as opening at 7am, both my husband and I have been left scrambling to make other plans at 8am, repeatedly. The owner apologized each time, and comped a day of daycare. Fine. It comes with operating a new business. -One day, there was a huuuuge dog in the playpen that I knew would be aggressive towards my then-15 pound puppy. I expressed my concern to the staff member, and she had a very "wait and see, they'll get along soon!" attitude, even when the bigger dog went for my dog's throat. They don't do a personality screen before accepting new members. -There are no cameras that let you check in on your pup throughout the day. I once asked a worker there, who told me that it wasn't a top priority to get them in, and a friend who lives above the store said she sometimes heard the staff yelling at the dogs. -There are staffing issues. On several occasions when I've come to pick up my dog, the service has been rude, and/or the playpen is full of messes that have clearly been around for quite some time. This past Monday, my dog came back to me with his backside covered in dried feces and his paws smelling strongly of urine. -One day, I came in to pick up my dog and saw another pup with a severe injury on its paw. The staff member provided no explanation as to why that happened, or how, and just ushered me out with a "Have a good day!" -My dog just contracted a very nasty case of kennel cough, even though he's been vaccinated. That means either the daycare area isn't being kept as clean as it should, or another dog wasn't fully vetted about its vaccinations before it was let in to play with my dog. Now, with a $200 vet bill, I'm finally done. I wanted to love DWNG because it provides a service that's necessary for the neighborhood. He seemed bothered after the visit. His hair was uneven some areas were longer then others. I will never bring him to this location again.. I will only bring him to the one in park slope. My dog likes my husband more than me. I'm usually the "bad cop" so I get it, but like, it hurts. All these cuddles and face kisses I'm missing out on. As Bad Cop, hygiene falls under my task list and boy does my dog hate bath time and me after bath time. Luckily, Dog Wash N' Go recently opened up in my neighborhood and now my dog gets to hate a stranger and I get to be her hero when I rescue her. I had brought my dog in previously hoping for a walk in appointment, but unfortunately, they didn't have the availability. I made an appointment for a simple wash and dry for the following weekend. The space is really nice -- new and clean. The washing room has windows so you can see dogs getting groomed, but there is also a downstairs with more stations. I left my dog with the friendly front desk woman, who suggested I add on the tooth brushing service for an additional $10. I gladly accepted because I am definitely not attempting that myself (not tryina be in my dog's Burn Book). I was quoted an hour to an hour and a half for the service so I holed up with some sparkling wine across the street. Surprisingly, 2 glasses and 40 minutes later, she was already done. When I came to get her, she was clean, fluffy, and smelled like a flower. And, she was THRILLED to see me. Finally, I'm the Good Cop. In March 2017 I went out of the country and I decided to use Dog Wash N Go (DWNG) to board my yorkshire terrier, Justin. I ended up being disappointed. Keep in mind - the Bedstuy store looks great, and the business owner (Rodrigo) seems like a nice guy, but I left that store with Justin with a lot of unanswered questions. Here is why I left that store, furious: - Justin was injured during his boarding. - Justin did not eat a lot of food and he lost weight. - Justin did not get his haircut or toenails cut, and I paid for a full grooming. When I was out of the country in March, Nancy claimed to try to contact me when Justin got injured. I left two phone numbers, and two email addresses. Nancy only tried one phone number, and I could not access my voice mail until I got back into the USA. She did not try the other number, and she did not email me (which would have been a great way to leave a message). My return flight to NYC got delayed due to the blizzard by one day, and I had to use Facebook messenger to contact one of my work colleagues (I could not make phone calls, but had web access), and ask them to call DWNG to let them know that I will be late by one day. During this moment, Nancy did not communicate to my coworker that Justin was injured. Instead, they told my coworker that Justin is doing great, which turned out to be not true. When I finally do get back in Bedstuy and go to the DWNG store that morning, I find out that Nancy took Justin to the vet that same morning. I asked myself: if this injury happened days before I arrived in the store, why did DWNG decide to take him that morning? What motivated them to do it? On the first day when I boarded Justin, I asked for a full grooming. I also asked for them to cut his toenails. What Justin got instead was just a dog wash, but no haircut, and no toenails cut. I was furious, but I was afraid to express my disappointment because I did not want to be seen as an angry black man. Nancy seemed like a nice lady...but with all due respect, Nancy was not a good listener. Nancy was more interested in making sure that I knew that DWNG was not to be held liable for anything. While she was doing this, the business owner was there, witnessing the entire conversation. Nancy even showed me the contract to remind me that DWNG was not liable. What Nancy did not realize is that showing me the contract was unnecessary and it was an insult to me, because I was concerned about what happened to Justin while she was focused on protecting the store from liability. Whenever I tried to ask a question, she would cut me off before I can finish the question so that she can answer, not realizing that she did not understand my question. I decided to not get into a confrontation with her in front of the business owner for the same reason: I did not want to be seen as an angry black man. But underneath it all...I was hurt. I was pissed off and angry. Justin had a limp and his hair was not cut. What makes me feel even worst is that they charged my credit card for the boarding, the extra day, the full grooming, and the vet. Very disappointing. Rodrigo (the business owner) did offer to give Justin a quick haircut, but I refused. I was angry and I just wanted to get Justin out of their store. A few weeks later, I took Justin to "Who's Your Doggy" Bedstuy for a full grooming. This is Justin's second grooming appointment there and Kathleen did a fantastic job. I am sorry to have to write this, but I no longer trust the people at Dog Wash N Go. I was looking forward to writing a good review for this store, but I can't, because I do not trust the people working there. They did everything in their power to cover themselves from liability, but they failed at making me feel comfortable about understanding how Justin got injured. Moving forward, I will be taking Justin to Kiki's Pet Spa. I've used them twice for boarding Justin, and there has never been an issue. Kiki's is in Fort Greene, while the DWNG Bedstuy store is a 5-minute walk from where I live, but I will never board Justin at DWNG again. read more

My Lab needed a bath desperately and with it being prime shedding season I was literally vacuuming twice a day. I called to see if they had an opening for a self wash and Gabriella told me to bring him in. They were really busy but she made room for me to wash and brush my dog. My dog King boarded with with Dog wash n Go back in June 2-6. On June 6th, one of the employees texted me regarding a "small scuffle" King had gotten in on the day of the 6th! However, when I picked him up he had a big open gash above his left eye! Not only did he have a gash, but he had a swollen, bloody, constipated stool(attached pics)It's obvious that when I picked him up the cut above his eye was already halfway healed, implying that the "scuffle" happened days before when they said it actually did. When I asked the receptionist what kind of dog had bitten him and she said it was a smaller dog. We then asked her what the specific breed was and she said it was a German shepherd! They tried to give me the information for the other dogs owner so that they could pay our vet fees! However, dog wash n go should take responsibility for the vet fees since it happened in their facility! I went to the Park Slope location to talk to the owner. He seemed professional and advised us that he would take care of ALL of the vet fees. However, they only paid HALF of the vet fees and when I attempted to contact the owner he was an absolute no show! After everything had healed a month later, I ran into an old employee of theirs and she advised me that during the boarding process the dogs are not in kennels. Instead they are out in the open together. That's why the German shepherd was able to bite my dog without anyone knowing until days later, so they had to cover their tracks with lies about when it actually occurred! It's obvious ny dog was bitten less than a day after dropping him off. She also advised me that the German shepherd that bit King is a regular customer and is not well socialized with other dogs! This facility has no care for dogs! They only want your money. They will smile in your face, take your money and take no responsibility for their actions! When I picked up my dog, he was traumatized, shaking and running in circles because his butt was in so much pain! I usually let karma do its deed but after reading their recent reviews it seems they are still up to the same shit! They have absolutely no regard for dogs and you all need to be out of business immediately! read more

I wanted to really like this place, its SO close to our apartment, looks clean, and has great reviews...awesome. But I have to say, our experience was sub-par at best. My girlfriend and I took our 5 month old puppy here for daycare this past Saturday (6/30/18). We had some errands to run and wanted her to be able to socialize and play with other pups instead of being toted around in a carrier all day, so we dropped her off around 1pm at Dog Wash N' Go in Bedstuy. Aesthetically, this place is great. It seems to be very clean, organized, and bright. We felt safe dropping her off at what appeared to be a safe environment. We go in and are greeted nicely by the front desk and asked to sign in our dog. Not a problem. The man behind the desk gets up and takes our dog down a flight of stairs followed with, "Okay, we'll see you later." My girlfriend and I are a little weary, but hey...it looks like a nice place and I'm sure they know what they're doing. We assure ourselves that we've made the right decision and leave for a few hours. Around 5pm/6pm we return to Dog Wash N' Go. The same man behind the front desk rings us in and immediately grabs our dog's leash and harness to retrieve her from downstairs. I won't lie, as new dog moms, we were a little nervous about the whole experience so I ask, "Hey, can we come downstairs with you so we can see where our dog was all day? This is her first time at daycare and we'd like to know where she was kept." To which he responds, "No." A little taken aback, I ask him, "We can't see where she was kept?" The man says, "Well, if I let you down there all the dogs will run out and I really don't want that to happen." He proceeds to go down the stairs and bring our dog up for us and when she emerges, she is VISIBLY shaking with ears back. We ask why she was shaking and the man says that she's just excited. Now, I know we're new to this dog mom stuff, but I've seen my dog excited and I've seen her scared. This was an undeniable scared shake. He puts on her harness and hands her over to my girlfriend. We wait for a moment, expecting to hear some sort of report for how our dog did during the day...but instead are met with silence. So we ask, "How did she do?" The man responds, "Good." Come on, dude. So we ask again, "How did she do? Did she play with other dogs?" The man say, "Oh yeah, there were some Shih Tzus here earlier and they played together." If that's even true, I guess we found the silver lining of this whole endeavor. Before I sign out here, I just want to say that I work in animal medical care. If a pet parent ever asks to see where their pet is being kept, it's not a problem. If a pet parent asks how their pet is, a detailed report is given versus a generic answer. I cannot possible fathom bringing my dog here again and quite honestly, if you care about your pet, you probably should also steer clear. read more

We're inseparable and when we found Dog Wash N' Go I was thrilled to be able to have a place nearby where they treat him just how I would-actually better. The place is amazing, clean, open, comfortable. The day care is a painless process and makes my day better knowing he is with other cool dogs and people that actually pay attention to him. The staff is of course, amazing. Sky is one of the nicest person in all of the businesses in Bed Stuy and treats Drogo super well. Claudia the groomer also does an amazing job and makes my dog look and feel amazing every time. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area or even far away. It's worth the trip. My only advise would be to book the groomer in advance! They're super popular- especially on weekends. read more

The last 3 times I have visited something has gone wrong wether it be my pet left soaking wet, clipped to the wash bin for almost 30 minutes to accommodate a walk in nail appointment!!!! or me witnessing a small dog get slammed onto a grooming table in the middle of the daycare center (why is there a grooming table in there?). I really used to love this place but it is obvious the people now working here do not care about my pet or about their jobs. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because their prices are reasonable but that cannot save your business when you are dealing with something people hold so dear (our pets.) Funny that the owner continues to be completely unprofessional in regards to this situation. His response to me review is quite comical. My dog does get matted yes.....however on his tail?? NO!! And it's also funny that my dog had all these pre existing skin conditions that this salon claims he had, however ONLY was irritated on his tail and no where else on his body. And to even suggest that I neglect my dog is absurd!! But I will not give any more of my attention to this FOOLISH person that refuses to acknowledge the mistake they made. 30 years or not.....things happen. Everyone was extremely friendly and the groomers in the washing station were great. When I returned to the reception area to pay my bill. The price I paid literally 4 months ago no longer applies to my dog because he's now being classified as a long hair dog and I was charged an additional $7. Now I know $7 may not be alot to many but if I was charged a set price for the several years I've attending this salon; I expect some sort of notice regarding the increase or honoring what I paid previously and letting me know that next time this is what I'm required to pay. read more

Been bringing my pup here for grooming for over a year now, the quality of his cut has varied depending on the groomer but it's very convenient to my home so we've kept coming back. I took him in this weekend however and when I got home and looked closely at the receipt, I noticed the pricing was higher than what I thought I usually paid, and there was an added fee for "shampoo," which was odd since I opted for the all inclusive grooming package. I went on the company website and the prices for grooming naturally vary based on breed and size, however the starting point for my breed was quite lower than what I was charged (and he was in good shape when I took him in, no dematting or anything like that). I went back through my emails (since the store uses Square for credit card payment, I had a years worth of receipts in there) and realized the price of our grooming has fluctuated nearly every visit; just not as dramatic as this past weekend. I also noticed the price on the website for teeth cleaning was lower than what I was charged. I called to inquire about this and the front desk person told me they needed to check with the groomer, and I received a call back a few hours later explaining that I should expect to be charged this amount moving forward, "should I choose to return." Strange word choice, I hadn't thrown out the idea of not returning, I just wanted clarity on pricing; but unfortunately this whole experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. The price inconsistencies, + untold and tacked on fees, along with the wishy washy service just aren't worth the convenience. The owner went above and beyond to make up for my visit. I was unsure if I would take her up on her offer for another visit but she ended up calling me and apologizing personally. She set me up with Heitor, a groomer who seems to be experienced with the right energy for a bit of a special needs pup. My dog is deaf and usually well behaved but she is afraid of heights and sensitive about her ears and has some balance issues so he was able to ease her general anxiety. I visited the Bushwick location for my redo. This location is a bit closer to me and I feel comfortable there because there are no stairs anywhere for her to stumbled down. She looked better this time around after her groom. Heitor was able to get it all done and he said he didn't have to muzzle her which was nice. I may update my review to 5stars in a couple of weeks when I see how long her groom lasts. read more

I have used this place twice for my own dog as well as my foster dog. I dont get dogs groomed, I have large dogs who don't need it and i simply don't care to give them a spa day when I can do it myself BUT they got rediculously muddy at the dog park so I brought them here and they came out looking amazing! The first time Boo was in the back grooming area sleeping and Nyla was behind the front desk and the second time both were legit passed out in the grooming area. I work in rescue and this place is clean and pricing isnt bad and the doggos smelled fantastic afterward. I will definitely continue coming back. read more

I've had my dog groomed here 4 times. The last 2 have not been good experiences. My dogs haircut is lopsided. The time before last my dog had little cuts on him and a bad haircut. I can't confidently return to this business. read more

I took my pit bull puppy here to have her nails clipped and teeth brushed. We went as soon as they opened so there weren't many dogs in front of us and we were seen right away. She was a bit nervous since it was her first time but, the groomer was very good with her and I was allowed to stand there with her. We'll definitely be returning for more services. read more
