This was our first experience with a groomer and it was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and attentive, And made Mylo's visit a memorable one. I would recommend this place 100%. Jennie was our groomer and she is amazing!

They did such a good job with my Samoyed Poto! I'm always a little nervous bringing him to new groomers because Samoyed fur is so thick and less knowledgeable groomers can damage their fur by shaving it, but Brooklyn Paw house knew all about how to take care of his fur (and more importantly what NOT to do with his fur), and were super kind and quick on top of that! They did him in 3 hours and he came back soft and whole new shade of white. Def coming back!

I just recently got married and was looking to board my 2 year old Lhasa Apso, Sundae when I came across Brooklyn Paw House. They're near my house and I loved the idea of a kennel free service for my pup. Sundae stayed under their care for 12 days and had the best experience. I was able to see him on their Instagram stories and see that he was enjoying playing with the other dogs. They gave him an exit bath before we picked him up which I thought was so thoughtful! Today we brought him back for a haircut (it's been less than a week since we picked him up from boarding) and he seemed happy to be back! Plus they did a great job on the cut! I will definitely be back and recommend Brooklyn Paw House to my friends!

My puppy needed a bath, but because of her hair, I didn't want her to clog my bathtub (again). I came across BPH on yelp and decided to give it a try since it's near by my neighborhood. The folks there are very welcoming. Lots of snacks, treats, clothing and food available in the front and in the back there's an area where dogs that are there for day care hangs out. We did the self bath, which has shampoo, conditioner, as well a blow dryer, towels and aprons. The water system was fairly easy to use and the blow dryer was gentle enough but as well as powerful enough to dry her well enough. My pup did such a good job she got some amazing toys and treats. They offer a lot of services some in which are doggy daycare, boarding, grooming, self-wash, nail care, teeth brushing and trims/light shaves. We met some amazing dogs there! It was a fun experience and I can't to be stoping by again.

Mikey had to get a close cut due to so much rain getting caught in and he got really matted!

Pet owners this is the spot! This is a family own business. They communicate within 24 hours via email. They listen to your concerns n make suggestions with you and your dog in mind. This is my third time bringing my yorkie poo and each time I'm worried free and my dog is happy They are growing and making improvements where it connects. We love Brooklyn Paw House! The owners Kena and Ash are fantastic and very friendly. We send our baby Bear to them for daycare and they are absolutely amazing. Once our dog knows he's close by he gets super super excited to go inside to play and meet new and old friends. We definitely know he has a blast when he's there. All the workers even know him and all the other dogs by name when they walk in. We love watching their Instagram stories to see how our pup is doing. They literally have been a life saver and helped me keep my sanity when my dog was full of puppy energy. He comes home tired and so well behaved. Their grooming services are also great. We've had them wash our big boy and had his nails trimmed. We can never get our dog's nails like they do! Highly recommend this place!

Wow Brooklyn Paw House worked magic with my baby! I was having such a struggle finding a groomer willing to take my baby short notice for grooming. Thank you Brooklyn Paw House for everything you did for Dutch. He's a Senior rescue who's gone through a great deal of trauma and has severe anxiety and heart disease. He gets easily frustrated when he is touched for too long and doesn't like his paws (especially back paws) getting touched. But that didn't mean anything to this amazing team. They took such great care of my boy and made him look so handsome for his birthday! We can't wait to go back!

Brought my pup here for her grooming and they did a good job cutting her hair and they did it real fast too. Some other places take 2-3hrs for a grooming appointment and it only takes an hour here. However, a couple days later I received an email from the shop that every employee in the store tested covid +, I was worried we would catch it too. Thank god nothing happened. I live in Manhattan and I sure as heck brought my dog here! These guys know what they're doing! Yesterday I brought in my 10 year old 30 pound Scottie, that I'm fostering. She looks like a little bear before being groomed but she was unkempt. Her beard grabbed everything when she sniffed, her paws looked like she was wearing Ugg boots and there were matts on her chest. I got the deluxe spa package and wanted a summer cut and I almost cried when she came out. She looked like a whole new dog and so much younger too! Jasmine the groomer is a rockstar! There seems to be an extra pep in my dog's step. Everyone is super sweet, attentive and love to get personable so you have that connection and feel welcome. The price was extremely reasonable! I paid $109 where other places in the city wanted over $200. I love the wall of toys and my dog loved the Kong tennis balls even more. I will definitely go here every time she needs to be groomed!

I love Brooklyn Paw House. They always do a great job with my very timid labradoodle. He gets easily overwhelmed around a lot of dogs and there is a daycare room right behind the grooming area. When he drop him off he is often a bit scared by the noise. Each and every time I pick him up, he is chilling in the grooming area rather than the daycare area. I really appreciate that they don't just put all the dogs in the play room, especially shy dogs (you never know what will trigger a timid/unsure dog) so it's a huge testament to how important each dog's safety is. They always do a great job with the actual grooming as well - he usually has no Knicks and has an even haircut, plucked ears, and trimmed nails. We will often bring a reference haircut and they give us exactly what we ask for. If you have a doodle or poodle you have to book a double time slot for your dog. I don't mind the price, which is pretty standard for groomers in BK, because they always do a great job and I trust them. The attached pictures are a "before" pic from the last cut and a couple post-grooming pics to show they are consistently great at what they do!

Love BK pawhouse! They're the only place that I allow to groom my baby! My pup also does attend their daycare sometimes. My only qualm is that I do wish the area for the small dogs was a bit more spacious. Other than that, I am always satisfied with my visit and so is my dog!!

They take such good care of my cat when he requires his annual lion cut, and were very patient with us humans when we made an error re: pickup time (whoops!). Local groomer in the Flatbush Area. Love this location, which I learned is new. It was clean and welcoming. Took my dog there for the first time for a bath and trim. She came out looking fluffy and smelling fantastic. The owner was friendly, and the price was decent. They also offer daycare services, which was nice to see. One of the perks of this groomer was that the dogs were allowed to roam free , playing and making doggy friends. read more

For grooming services I will say exceptional! They did a wonderful job grooming my yorkipoo. For daycare they lack communication. I took my dog there a few weeks after getting groomed because i was interested in daycare he had to do the trial test and when i came to pick them up the staff said she had to ask the owner if he was approved or not i never heard back. i called twice and still no response. It also seemed like they were renovating or something read more

I cannot rave about Brooklyn Paw House enough and am thrilled with our experience. I am a new pet parent and am inexperienced as far as haircuts go (I was absolutely upset with my experience at Pet Smart 6 weeks ago). My dog is a dachshund/beagle mix but leans more towards beagle hair & sheds a lot! Owners Ash and Ben helped me better understand my little guy's needs & helped me pick the right treatment for him. They also specified what they would never do as to not hurt my pup or damage his skin. This is IMMENSELY important to me. I don't want the people I work with to do what I want blindly- especially when I am uneducated. Ash & Ben are the educated individuals you want to pamper your pup and help you along your way to parenting bliss. It actually looked like my dog lost weight after their desheding profess (photo attached). I can't believe the results. You have my business for life! PPrice point beats everything else we have tried. This is a fantastic bang for your buck. Forget about the big box stores. This is your BK spot. Thanks Again! Our second visit to BPH. We were amazed that our first spa and desheading treatment lasted as long as it did. The second treatment was just as fantastic as the first. read more

I'm a first time dog owner, and was interested in finding a place for my Yorkiepoo. I was happy to find a location very close to my house, but it's also in public area, easily accessible. I dropped off my puppy and spoke to one of the employees, and she reassured of my puppy care, since there was other dogs around and it was her first time with others. When I picked up my puppy, she looked adorable! They took very good care of her coat. I would recommend this place and will be going back. read more

I've been taking my dog to Brooklyn Paw House for grooming since I first adopted him as a teeny puppy. It's been 4 years and I have zero plans of leaving his groomer, Jennie. They recently moved to a new location and I like the layout of the space. There are some couches where you can wait for your dog, gates setup to protect the dogs from running out of the door, and usually a bunch of friendly dogs roaming the space. Sometimes that dog parade helps my dog's focus shift from worrying about me leaving him there. They are very timely with their appointments and Jennie even has a special haircut for my dog specifically lol. I love bringing my dog here and never worry about something happening to him when he's in their care. The only gripe I ever have is that they usually have a long wait for grooming appointment but it's worth the wait and I've seen much longer waits with groomers that aren't even as good as Jennie. My advice is to book the next appointment while you're there so you don't have to do the wait list shuffle and tell them that I sent ya ;). read more

I have a miniature schnauzer and I took her to Brooklyns Paw House for the first time. I got her a deluxe package for her which included everything. I kept noticing her ear was irritating her, so I checked her right ear which has a cut and a scar on it. There's dark blood in it. I will never be going back to that establishment. You guys! I LOVE THIS PLACE.... My DOG loves this place. The staff is so incredibly knowledgeable, loving and personable. They take care of my dog as if he's their own. I wanted my dog to socialize with others and felt bad that covid prevented us from going to dog parks etc.. so it's nice to be able to drop him off here and know he's having a blast. Also, he get's groomed here and I can't stop smiling/hugging and laughing at my dog when he's done. They do SUCH A GREAT JOB. They take direction well, i've never had a bad experience. Love you guys read more

I scheduled a grooming for Etta with Jasmine. Etta is usually nervous around strangers and has some separation anxiety. Jasmine was able to calm her and I left to run errands. I returned less than an hour later and Etta was clean and happy and I avoided my monthly chore. PS, Ash and Kena are also great. Etta is always excited to see them in the neighborhood as we also use their dog walking service (Ditmas Paws) read more

I have never in the 14 years I have had dogs had such an effortless grooming experience. Everyone who works here is knowledgeable and caring and easy to approach. Pro tip, if you're new here, create an account on the website first and then you can book your appointment!!! Or just call them! I have a Malti-poo and Brooklyn paw House is the first grooming place to ever actually listen to me when I say to shave them down everywhere even the ears and even the tail. Also if you live in the neighborhood they might deliver food to you! I will not be using chewie.com anymore, I'm gonna give all my money to local businesses. And the owners I just really cool, nice neighborhood folks you wanna be friends with they make you feel at home. read more

Was so excited to have this place open. Something the neighborhood was seriously missing. Took my pup in to use their self serve dog wash and our friends also came for the same. The owners were so nice and helpful and had everything we needed for a good wash and blowout. The shampoo smelled amazing and my dog is so clean and pretty now. Also was able to pick up a toy to reward my girl with and got some cat food for my kitties. They also have a little hot drink station which is nice if you are waiting. Also super excited to try out their day care. It looked like the dogs that were there for that were having a great time. And the dogs getting full grooms were so pretty!! We love Brooklyn Paw House! We have been taking our boy every 6-8 weeks for a groom and it's always a lovely experience. Hands down the best groomer I've ever worked with (and I've worked with a lot throughout multiple states). Communicative, responsive, easy to schedule an appointment, and thorough! When a place has a bookout time of several weeks, you know that have to be great! I took my 2 dogs in yesterday for a groom. They went in as ungroomed, tangled messes, and came back as beautifully groomed, fluffy little pups! Ash and Kena are knowledgeable and helpful, and Kena had no qualms with listening to this anxious, neurotic furmama ask a dozen questions about Pomeranian coats and kennel dryers. Second time taking my baby to Brooklyn paw house and I must say my expectations was met once again. Drop him off at 12pm and he was ready by 1:30pm, the groomer did an amazing job. I remember when Brooklyn Paw House newly opened, the owners Ash and Kena were very nice and welcoming. I was excited to have a grooming/pet shop not too far from where I live. After some time, I decided my "not so puppy anymore" dog, needed a hair cut. Well, I booked an appointment without any issues and was offered an appointment for 5/25/20, I only waited an hour and they were done with my dogs' hair cut. I am very pleased with the way the cut came out and very happy that I was able to purchase dog food all under one roof, that's a plus for me!! What I love about Paws & Rec is that they pickup the dogs for a full two hours. Your dog gets experience walking with their "pack" and makes other doggy friends they'll see consistently. They get a ton of off leash time in one of the various dog runs in the area. On each walk, they'll sometimes visit up to 3 different parks. Jenny was very easy to work with and setup a meet and greet with Jeffrey (my 4month old Goldendoodle) and her son Christian. My walker, Stan, is SO professional and awesome. He updates his Instagram with photos and an insta story during every walk so you can see footage of your baby running around and playing. It's awesome! During Jeffrey's first walk, we had a mini crisis with a faulty apartment key (my fault). Jenny and Stan were super professional, and brought Jeffrey to a nearby Paws & Rec sitter's house until I could run from work to pick him up. I was so thankful Jeffrey was in safe hands! They didn't even charge me for all their extra effort. I really couldn't recommend Paws & Rec more. I called today to book a grooming appointment and the gentleman who answered said grooming services are suspended our groomer died. Cold callused and without empathy or compassion. Of course if I was absolutely shocked devastated and so hurt to hear this. Peter our beloved Peter has died suddenly and this is how we were told. When I shared that we as customers should have received an email as we all loved Peter the response was it's on Instagram have a nice day! Shame on Buddy's for this. Shame on you for now valuing the heart of your customers and the legacy of Peter. We will move on and find a new place to go but Peter is irreplaceable in our hearts. How this was handled tells me this is no longer a place for me and my family. RIP Peter. Super disappointed. After reading the reviews, I assumed that was going to be heard when asked what I wanted. I explained to the groomer that I wanted her to cut half of my pups fur in which she agreed she'll do. When I arrive to pick her up, my pup is completely shaven and I can barely recognize her. When explaining how unhappy and unsatisfied I was with the service, I received more excuses instead of an apology. It really would have been nice to receive a phone call if she felt it was completely imperative to shave the majority of my pup's fur off. read more
