I had an extremely negative and seriously concerning experience at this salon. The facility had an…read moreunpleasant odor, appeared dirty, and did not seem well maintained. I was also concerned about possible pests. During a visit, I heard a staff member scream that there was a spider on the towels, which was disturbing and made the environment feel even more concerning and unsanitary. During a visit, many witnessed the assistant manager, Latoya, arguing and yelling, which created an uncomfortable, toxic, and highly unprofessional atmosphere. I also felt pressured to purchase additional services that I did not want or need. My biggest concern was the assistant manager, Latoya. She was yelling, condescending, rude, obnoxious, and aggressive throughout the salon. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I witnessed her speaking disrespectfully to both staff members and even the customers, often in a belittling and confrontational manner. She appeared to create unnecessary conflict and contribute to a hostile environment rather than resolve issues professionally. In my opinion, she behaved like a bully who lacked basic business etiquette, communication skills, and leadership ability. The rumors are that this Latoya has animosity and makes tension and drama at the salon is a well known thing creating a very toxic environment. Instead of addressing concerns calmly and respectfully, she was intimidating and dismissive. Her conduct reflected very poorly on the business and made what was already a disappointing experience significantly worse. I do not understand how a salon could allow someone with such a rude, angry, and out-of-control attitude to represent its brand. She either needs serious retraining or should be replaced. It is absolutely unacceptable for any business to be represented by such low-value behavior. I was also very concerned about the pricing practices. The prices seemed highly questionable compared to the corporate menu and listed service prices. They advertise package deals that often appear to include services such as shampoo, treatment, blow-dry, styling, and sometimes haircuts. However, customers should be careful not to be shortchanged on included services, because based on many experiences, they may still charge the full package price even when certain services are skipped. For example, some haircut packages appear to include shampoo and blow-dry. Do not let them skip those services and still charge you the same price. I am also concerned that the salon may be using bait-and-switch pricing tactics. A service may be advertised at one price, but the final charge can end up much higher due to extra charges, including charges for services that were supposed to be included in the package. Charging extra for hair type or additional products may be understandable when clearly explained upfront, but adding unexpected fees or charging for services not performed is unacceptable. Please ask for a written estimate before they touch your hair. Ask for an itemized breakdown before paying or tipping, and always request a receipt so you can review every charge. Be especially careful about extra services added to the bill that were not clearly explained or were not actually performed. Overall, this experience was from hell. Between the unpleasant and unsanitary environment, the assistant manager's aggressive and disrespectful behavior, the toxic atmosphere, and the questionable pricing practices, I was appalled by the level of service. I do not recommend this salon under its current management at all. Anyone looking for a professional, respectful, clean, and honest salon experience should seriously consider going elsewhere. There was no one waiting in the store and only one customer in a chair. The lady at the desk first refused to let me talk to the hairstylist. She was quite obnoxious, in my opinion and said I had to come back when my hair cut lady was done with her current customer. I've been to her a couple of times and even she didn't at least turn around to acknowledge me. The question and answer wound have take. 30 seconds at the most. Crazy stuff. I am a customer no more.
