Great service and very affordable, only cost me $36 to get from ATL to ft. Benning. Very convenient shuttles run all night and for a small extra fee they'll take you to your hotel. Great company! read more

Last week my 84 yr old mother had to get to the Denver airport from Loveland. This was the day of the blizzard, she needed to get to her sisters funeral. Mom was on time, even early, then sat on the bus for an hour after it was supposed to leave. the driver was waiting on a buddy of his. mom spoke up, that this was going to make her miss her plane. didn't matter. when she got to the airport, she would have missed her plane, without the help of staff there that put her in a wheelchair and ran her to the plane, which was boarding when she got there. to make matters worse, coming home her plane was delayed 2 hours. she called Groome, they gave her the time of the next shuttle. she called when she landed, she was running out of time. they left anyway, they could not wait 12 minutes for her. Groome left her at the airport in the middle of the night. This makes me sick, especially when the driver from Loveland made everyone wait an hour for his buddy. Pathetic. read more

Disappointing first experience. My drop-off ride was late picking me up which caused us to be literally one minute late to the pickup point. No calls from the driver or waiting one extra minute. I was at least able to flag them down before they pulled out on the main drive. The driver just stated the time they leave, took my stuff and didn't say another word to me. So fine, I'll take my lumps for being a minute late. Then the van starts blowing hot air in the back when it's 90 outside. I ask about it and he says it does that sometimes when you first get going. Turns out it did it on and off the entire 1.5 hour trip. The van was trashed. It rode like a 2 horse buggy with out of balance tires and worn out shocks so it floated and rolled and felt unsafe, which raises the possibility that other maintenance was not being done. The vent above me was broken and basically impossible to adjust. The passenger in front of me didn't have a working seatbelt which we tried to get free so it'd extend but no luck there. The experience made me miss the company that Groome acquired to operate in Auburn which I used numerous times. They operated like they wanted me to be impressed with their service. My impression of Groome is high volume, low quality. read more

I've always had good experiences on Groome until recently but am shocked at what happened the other day. I was in a shuttle that had not yet taken off when a fellow passenger, who was acting in an agitated manner, took out a piece of paper, created a tube and used it to start snorting a substance up his nose as I was sitting right next to him. I informed the driver whose suggestion was that I sit up front. I was shocked he would allow a passenger to snort drugs in his vehicle and told him I was uncomfortable being on a shuttle where someone was snorting an unknown substance that could be, for all we know, meth or cocaine. He wasn't going to do anything to deal with the passenger's behavior, so I asked to go on the next shuttle. I, as a law abiding passenger, had to either accept the snorting of some mystery substance by a fellow passenger, and possible exposure to meth or some other toxic substance in a small enclosed space, or wait an extra half hour after a grueling international trip. The driver treated me in a patronizing way, as if he was annoyed/exasperated that I was making a big deal out of this. I complained to Groome and was not given any indication that looking the other way for this type of behavior was not the norm. I was essentially told that their drivers can't really confront people and that we have no way of knowing if this man was doing anything wrong. Then when I responded to their email solicitation for a review, by emailing them my story, I was told their drivers are trained to address passenger behavior "if the situation calls for it." So the implication is that snorting a drug on their shuttle is not a situation that "calls for" the driver taking action. This is simply unbelievable and I feel much less safe on Groome knowing they allow this type of dangerous and possibly illegal behavior on their shuttles. Back in May, on the trip before the one outlined above, I had another disturbing experience with a fellow passenger, so I'm starting to wonder if this is becoming a trend. That time, the passenger had no luggage, only a brown paper sack. (The man who snorted the drugs also had no luggage, only a brown paper sack.) The man from the shuttle back in May informed all of us that he had just gotten out of a mental institution. That didn't bother me at all, and I'm not suggesting people be discriminated against, but then he started to behave oddly. He started making conversation aggressively with the other passengers and getting upset when people didn't want to carry on extended conversations with him. People answered politely and then went back to looking at their phones. One sweet girl talked to him for a long time, then after about 40 minutes got out her phone and started looking at it. At that point, the man went on a loud rant to nobody in particular about how everybody is always looking at their phones. It started to get very uncomfortable at that point, then the man started talking about mass shootings and expressing sympathy/empathy for the shooters. By that time, all the passengers were very on edge and scared. The man got off one stop before the final destination, and after he got off everyone else sighed with relief and we all talked about how nervous we were about his behavior and the content of what he said about the shootings. I don't fault the driver for that incident because it wasn't even clear if he could hear what was going on and there was no one clear cut behavior that crossed the line. But if I take a Groome's in the future I will definitely be keeping my eyes open and will definitely get off the shuttle if I notice any odd behavior, since Groome doesn't seem to have any policy or training in place for addressing these types of disturbing incidents. Apparently we as passengers have to be very vigilant about our safety when taking this service. read more

Such poor customer service. My ride up to the airport was a good one. My return trip a disaster! I called 4 times to find out where to be picked up and was told four different things from the people on the phone. After being where I thought I was supposed to be for 45 min I called again and was told to go to the other side of the building with very vague directions on where the van will be. I go to the other side and wait another 20 min and finally a Groome van arrives. I try to board and was told that it was the wrong van. I asked well where am I supposed to be? I was told, "I don't know where the F you are supposed to be". After an exchange with that "friendly" driver I see another Groome van well at the other end of the covered area, I run to catch that one after the first driver refuses to try and reach them for me; only to have the van pull off as I am 30 ft from it. When I call the customer service number to ask them to have the driver come back they tell me "no we don't have drivers come back". Then the guy on the phone tells me as an "apology", "you should know where to go, that's your job as a customer", I said, "what"?!?! Then I asked to speak to their supervisor to ask for a refund, was then told that she would submit paper work but I wasn't gaurunteed a refund. My wife had to end up driving an hr and 1/2 to get me, even though I paid for a shuttle ride. This is a company that I will go through as many hoops as I can to tell people to stay away from. read more

I use Groome for my airport transportation. This round trip was the worse. The trip to Atlanta was completely loaded. The van was packed, Groome should take into consideration the size of the passenger when deciding the number of occupants. Poor management of passenger transport, just because it's a 9, 10 passenger van that does not that number will fit. Size and number should be a concideration. On my return trip, a woman on board was on her phone the whole trip. Cell phone call should be not allowed in the van during the trip. Drivers should enforce rules in the van. Poor management. read more

I take Groom quite often this time I took Groom on September 29, 2017 the 6:15 pm shuttle was returning from the airport to Columbus. The driver who was driving shuttle 167 was very bias and acted very rude towards the BLACK passengers. When people was getting on the shuttle there was a young lady with a dog he talked very rude to her concerning her dog and if the dog could ride on the shuttle talking about the size of the dog carrier and did she pay for the dog to ride. I walked up I told him I had a reservation but it was on a later shuttle I ask him if I could take this shuttle. He told me I would have to wait to see if there were others who is schedule the lady with the dog was the only one on the shuttle that was scheduled. The driver told to me and three other gentlemen who was waiting to board to step back, and he would see if he could get us on the shuttle. Out of no where this WHITE LADY walks up and he told her she could get on the shuttle it was no problem I seen him when switched her name on the tablet and told her to get on the shuttle, while the rest of us stood out in the heat waiting to see if he was going to let us get on. Two of the gentlemen rode back did not have a reservation and kept telling that when we get to Columbus they better pay. I've never experience this type of bias, rude and unprofessional behavior from any of your drivers all of your drivers have been very professional. But this driver that drove shuttle 167 needs a class on customer service and diversity training. read more

If there was a "no star" rating then this company would certainly qualify. I have had nothing but terrible experiences from Groome in Columbus, GA. Stay clear, go with another company, especially if you're in the Military. The drivers do not have a commercial driver's license and they are terrible drivers. You get packed into a van and are forced to snuggle up to a total stranger that may not have time to shower that week, only to have them fall asleep with their head on your shoulder drooling on your chest. If that sounds like I've experienced it, YES I have! Oh and if you don't tip the drivers then you are the scum of the earth and they will treat you as such until they get their money, even if you didn't have any luggage. After all, they worked hard at giving you a terrifying ride for an hour and a half, not to mention they opened the door to let you out of that smelly cesspool of a van. You do have the luxury of parking your car there for free, but you better pray nothing happens to it because Groome takes NO responsibility for any damages or theft. They even posted a sign that says so. Makes me want to leave my car there for another week so that it can be broken into and "keyed" from one end to the other, AGAIN. No thanks. I've had enough of these jokers. read more
