I want to give a big THANK YOU to Kim from the Groom Room. Kim has been grooming our Maggie (golden doodle) for almost a year. My family and I have always been impressed on how great Maggie looks after Kim grooms her. Kim's professionalism and customer service is exceptional and appreciated with the care and expertise she gives our Maggie. Earlier this week, Kim stayed with Maggie for an additional "hour and a half" after the Groom Room closed while I was dealing with the stress of work, and my wife stuck at the orthodontist with my daughter. I knew Maggie was in great hands with Kim (taking Maggie outside). Kim's patience, welcoming, and uplifting personality with merit customer service was greatly admired. Good people, dog people! When we first took our puppy in, I was nervous for her and asked if they used treats. The groomer got an odd look on her face and said no....We later realized that she thought I said "tranks", as in tranquilizers. Whew! Glad I was working with them, and not someone who considered drugging my doggy. It turns out they don't need treats. They are very caring and knowledgeable about dogs. Went in today after having my dog cut there a couple times they are always hard to schedule with insisting they need the dog for 3-6!hours sometimes needing a cut I scheduled and was 45 min late due to a personal family emergency and was told basically " too bad " " I didn't hear from you so I took another dog " I was shocked don't act so busy when the whole place is full of 1980 furniture , tubs , cages , chairs . My dog loves it here and is happy when he comes home - when we would come back from other groomers he would just be goofy for days. Also, I go about every 10 weeks and she knows how to cut his hair so he looks adorable now and as his hair grows out. She's also very kind and clearly loves dogs. I schedule ahead when I go in for his cut. read more

NEVER AGAIN! Didn't get her name but the woman we spoke to when we brought our 2 Boxers to this place seemed kind and like she knew what she was doing. I told her about 1 of the dogs being a rescue and he may get snippy. She told us that they know how to handle them. We left only to return 25 minutes later after they called, with 1 locked in the bathroom and the other screaming like I've never heard before. Turns out the lady drying her after the bath didn't realize she was choking her with her front feet off the ground. I helped with my rescue until he clearly didn't like these people. While I was helping she took about 10 seconds on each dog to clip the smallest amount of nail possible and rush us out the door with soaking wet dogs. And while we were paying full price for maybe a 1/4 of the job, we were being given grooming and training advice from a woman that was bitching about another client and their dogs the entire time we were in the building. Overall, friendly front desk woman. Other staff, not so much. I wouldn't return with a gift card for a lifetime of free service. If you can't handle large dogs, don't do large dogs. read more

I have an American Eskimo who has been there 3 or 4 time before, this time I was asked if Maureen should go short and I did say yes, when I came back to pick him up, he was shaved, SHAVED!!! I am horrified! What in the world do you get shaved out of short, He has multiple knocks on his side and neck and his skin is pink and now has to wear sunscreen and t-shirts per the vet. NEVER EVER again, plus she charged me $65 for a 32 lb dog. read more

After reading the reviews I thought my pup would be well taken care of, I was sadly mistaken. I called to make an appointment and was told to drop my dog off at 10:30am. When I arrived I asked how long it would take and was told the lady that would be grooming my dog wasn't even there yet so she will probably be done around 2-2:30pm. I said ok seemed like a big window but I let it go. I called at 2:45 having not heard anything and asked if my dog was ready or close to being done and the lady that answered was like oh yeah I called you around 1pm she's been done for awhile. I told her I didn't receive a phone call nor voicemail and she very dismissively goes oh well I called someone and left a message it's been really crazy here today. So needless to say I was very upset ran to pick up my dog who had been sitting in a crate and as soon as we got home she bolted for the water bowl which indicated she hadn't been given any water. Needless to say I will never return to The Groom Room again. I wouldn't care if they cut her hair to perfection there is no excuse for horrible customer service. read more

We have three cocker spaniels and they have been groomed by Maureen since the dogs were puppies. We also had two cockers before these three and she groomed them until they passed on. Our cockers have been bathed, groomed, and pampered at the Groom Room for years and we would recommend the services to anyone with a dog of any breed. Been going to the Groom Room since my 14 year old toy poodle was a puppy :) Bridget is the best and so accomidating to our Dolly's needs. As she has aged and has had surgeries, Bridget always asks how she can best groom Dolly and carefully watches over her and is always so good to our lady. Dolly looks forward to her spa days with Bridget and Joan and I am thankful to have these lovely ladies taking care of my baby. They are so accomidating with scheduling and my dogs needs. The Groom Room is clean and the staff is professional and friendly. They are like family to me. Thanks Joan, Bridget and staff, you all are THE BEST. read more
