I'm flying out of town for 5 days I didn't want to wait til next week. I think it might be helping reduce sore muscles, I just can't tell yet ( sore since last weekend workouts;) I read some research in Cryotherapy last night...it's said to likely burn up to 800 calories after one 3 min session due to the blood vessels rushing from the protected core to all the areas once you're out. His clinic is not fancy, but I received the best PT care I've ever experienced. I don't often say this: I cannot recommend him highly enough! I went to Max in late Jan or Feb with a painful case of frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis). He said it was among the worst cases he'd seen. After six months of his care and coaching, I am thrilled that I am nearly back to 100% of normal range. (Typically it takes 12-24 months to resolve.)

I was in incredible pain from sudden sciatica-like symptoms. I had gone to a physical therapist who…read morerecommended an orthopedic doctor. After multiple visits and a clean X-ray, they said I would need to come back several weeks later to explore the option of an injection. Meanwhile I could barely function and couldn't imagine waiting several more weeks for relief. I discovered Dr. Hennenhoefer upon recommendation from a colleague who had experienced chronic joint, connective tissue, and musculoskeletal pain, to go see an osteopathic muscular medicine expert. I hadn't heard of this sector of medicine before but as I read the description online, it sounded like exactly what I needed help with. His office makes it easy to make appointments - I was able to find an opening the same day (!!!) available to new patients (!!) that could do a diagnostic plus treatment intervention - all on the same day, which never happens within large healthcare systems, even with urgent care available. That day, I made the appointment, went in, and honestly within 24 hours my pain level went from a 9 out of 10 to a 7 out of 10 and within 3 days, I was down to a 4 or 5 out of 10! Honestly, he's a miracle worker. He has a deep understanding of how one area of the body can travel to another area and where to put pressure and release to feel relief across the system. He provided more in depth explanation of what was going on (with visuals!), why I was experiencing the issue, and exactly what to do and not to do (some of which was different or more nuanced than the typical advice given online or by physical therapists and orthopedics, like why I shouldn't heat the area for too long, and a better way to stretch and with less intensity and time). This was after ONE visit and I can't wait to return to continue the treatment plan.
