Stumbled upon this coffee shop located inside East Rock Market Hall. Super cute location to grab a quick coffee and even study at! Wifi is available but no outlets. I would recommend getting their coffee (although it's on the pricer end). As for the pastries, I forgot how much I was charged for the chocolate croissant but I would not recommend. It was super basic. I'd say go to G-cafe if you're looking for a better croissant. Large Vanilla Cold Brew with Vanilla Sweet Cream Foam ($7.50) Large Caramel Apple Cold Brew ($6.50)

Placed inside of East Rock Market in New Haven, we took a quick visit to Ground Up Coffee's 2nd location. Their menu has all the classics and even has pup cups for your furry friends! They also serve some pastries and Shef's Bagels (for anyone familiar with the Cheshire bagel spot). We tried a cold brew, iced matcha latte, Cinnamon Toast Crunch iced coffee, and a Fruity Pebbles Iced Coffee. We enjoyed everything. The market also has seating and Ground Up is open until 4pm to snag your caffeine fix. Will definitely be back to try more! Love the location as well; conveniently placed if you wanna explore more of the market or the brewery, etc next door. For more, see @sipsandsizzles on Instagram

New place getting its feet under it. Had a very good macchiato. Good addition to the East Rock Market.

This was some good coffee!…read more This was our first stop off the train from NYC. We needed a pick me up and energy for that infamous food crawl we were about to get into. So thankful it was in the quiet and quaint neighborhood of New Haven. Such a beautiful area. Very close to all the spots I had bookmarked. Cool coffee shop I gotta say. Spacious and clean. Just the actual vibe alone was relaxing. This is one of those locations where you can actually come sit and not be bothered. Few people inside were working on their laptops, some were just conversing with their friends. The barista was super friendly and worked fast. One thing I noticed and was wowed on was they serve wine as well. I mean how cool is that. Felt like I was at France for a minute, where the cafes serve coffee, tea and qwasonts during the day, and cocktails at night. Very chill. Can't thank them enough for how clean the bathroom was as well. All in all great coffee and service.

Not a lot of favor and no sweet at all which I thought that was interesting. The server did over to add more honey but I opted out because I was in a rush. They seemed business though. A lot of people inside on a winter day doing work. Maybe try a coffee , but they're no Latte Pedaler, at least to me.

A charming coffee…read moreshop and cozy experience is tucked away at the graduate hotel in New Haven, and it seems to be one of those places that if you know you know... And now that I know, I can't wait to return. I met a friend for a morning meeting here on a rainy day and this was the perfect cozy atmosphere to enjoy espresso and friendship. We opted for a flat white and macchiato. The staff was extremely welcoming and made sure we understood that they make an authentic macchiato, not the commercialized version which gave us a chuckle! The macchiato was perfectly crafted as well. as the flat white, complete with gorgeous latte art on top. I was expecting great coffee, which they delivered. What surprised me was the spinach quiche. I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary, but I've basically been dreaming about this quiche since I've had it. Light and fluffy, it more closely resembles an egg bite/sous vide egg bite since it does not have a traditional quiche crust. However, it was fantastic with great spinach flavor and a buttery and cheesy finish. DROOL. The space is so inviting, clean, cozy with plenty of different options for seating; from intimate nooks, to upholstered chairs and couches, to plain wooden chairs, there's something for every comfort level. I cannot wait to come back here with my laptop to get some work done, and will definitely have more coffee dates here!

I got a "spinach quiche" for five dollars, which was really a tiny crustless quiche in a muffin cup. But it was very tasty and ready quickly. And my latte was delicious. I wish they had some windows open or outdoor spaces. There is a lot of possible seating in the lobby but there are a lot of students taking up spots. This was a great choice for a quick light meal if you're staying in the hotel.
