Super cute place, and I love all the seating options available, both inside and outside! The people working were very sweet and had some nice music recommendations. The Nutella latte didn't taste super special and couldn't really differentiate it from a mocha latte. From my dad, who got a matcha latte, said the matcha tasted pretty diluted from what he's used to, but my aunt enjoyed it enough to come back. Fun Fact -- I have had coffee, at Koffee, more times than all other places in New Haven combined, but I haven't been there since around 2004. We didn't have a falling out or anything. I just used to have business in their area and that concluded back then. I finally returned this weekend. Here's what I remember about Koffee. The coffee was strong, but drinkable. Their seating area was congested, and most or all of the seats and tables were usually taken by people working or hanging out. It wasn't fancy or modern looking, but it was comfortable in the times. There was some food, but it wasn't a particular draw. When I walked in on Saturday, looked around, ordered and sipped my black iced coffee, it felt exactly the same. I'm sure they've changed some things, but I couldn't tell you what they are. The coffee was probably some sort of dark or medium dark roast blend of beans from South and/or Central America. It was strong, but smooth. Not my favorite flavor profile for iced coffee, but well executed. Four Stars read more

Ordered a flat white, was decent. The individual at the front taking orders was shopping on Grailed or something while they took my order. I said hello, they gave me a blank stare, so i ordered and they walked away without saying a word so they could go back on their phone. What is this glorification of war and death doing in a local cafe, where people sit to relax and work surrounded by people and humanity? This place is awesome and their makeshift walk up to order window is so well put together it's almost as if it was a permanent thing they got going here! I was able to try their frozen mocha and their frozen Nutella coffee drinks. The taste was there, the caffeine addiction was stimulated but unfortunately it was borderline frozen. It was more like cold chocolate milk for me. More ice next time! Other than that, everything was great! They have seats for you to chill outside as well. The shop is in a central location close to both downtown New Haven and Yale University, making it a super convenient place to get work done. The ambience here is very hipster and chill, completely with plants and eclectic artwork on every wall. They play music in the background but it's not too loud of distracting. There's ample seating here and a variety in the type of seating as well which is really nice. There are desk/ cubicles, comfy couches, high top and regular tables --- truly something for everyone. Koffee is a bit tucked to the side of Audobon, but it's a great place once you actively look for it. After doing the "coffee circuit" of New Haven, Koffee is my go to spot in New Haven for the best brewed coffee and espresso drinks. The menu is typical coffee fair with fewer house-specific drinks falling on the side of the quality over quantity. In terms of seating, Koffee has the opposite issue of most coffee shops in New Haven in terms of the seating to outlet ratio. The place is often packed within the first 3 hours of opening during the weekend, however for each seat there can be 2 outlets per person in some spots. Not to say the space is small at all (during nice days there's nice outdoor seating in the back), but the large numbers speak to the quality of shop. Of note, there is also a community board that updates periodically asks patrons things like "what's your superpower" or your "favorite pokemon" that you can put post-its on out while you wait for your order. It may be silly of me to point out, but hey it's all about the small things. Overall, if you're an early bird Koffee is a great place to work. Otherwise, it is a fantastic place for quality brew and to catch up with others. If I could give 4.5 stars I would. read more

Koffee On Audobon is the prototypical hipster cafe but where patrons of all stripes rub shoulders together. From the local artist community, to students and local business folks, everyone enjoys Koffee. The coffee is stellar. I'm predisposed to a simple espresso but others in my circle say great things about their latte. My favorite part of Koffee, surprisingly, isn't the coffee but the food selection. In a world of rising prices, the food selection is downright cheap. Veggie platters, chicken satay, cool sandwiches, parfaits, and these new salad in a cup - watermelon feta mint for one and another is a carrot, goat cheese raisin. Koffee has plenty of outdoor seating, all on the street side (and mostly shady). The canal train construction has temporarily eliminated the outdoor seating on the sunny side of the building. Went back yesterday for the first time this school year because I wanted to do work somewhere outside my room. I am not a coffee drinker and have been working on avoiding caffeine, so I ordered their current available unsweetened/decaf ice tea -- Raspberry. I enjoyed sipping my tea while I sat on a couch in Koffee for several hours and did some work. It's the perfect place for a comfy work spot when you don't have to do crazy focused work (although there are single desks you can use if you do want to focus). This excels as a place to meet friends and/or do work, but not for solo endeavors (unless you're in one of their computer corrals). This is a hipster coffee shop if I ever saw one. The name already gives that away to some extent. Coffee with a "K" is how I end up referring to this place, because otherwise I say "I'm going to Koffee" and people sometimes just think I haven't had my morning coffee yet and am speaking like an idiot. While Koffee has great coffee, chai, and pastries; they also have great sandwiches. I've been fortunate enough to have frequent catered events by Koffee at my workplace and the sandwiches never disappoint, the desserts never disappoint, the coffee doesn't disappoint, and the iced tea is next level. They take it to the top by having agave as a sweetener, and doing zero waste catering practices with all compostable plates and flatware. How great is that? Don't forget that they serve creamy oat milk, they have board games, they serve beer and wine (Just when you thought it couldn't get better, amirite???), and great vibes. Their atmosphere is super chill and comfy; and they have a surprising amount of natural light in the back. They have tons of options on their menu, but my one complaint is the lack of milk options. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to the two they serve, so opted for a tea instead of the latte I was craving. But my Ginger Turmeric tea was delicious!
