With personalized menus and a great attitude.. the fabulous espresso drinks were just a plus to the service and attitude. I am thrilled to add another 5 star review to Grounded Coffee Catering. My wedding was this past Sunday, October 9th. During the planning process I assumed my venue would be able to provide after-dinner specialty coffee drinks for my 115 guests. With just 2 and a half weeks to go I learned they couldn't churn out that many drinks for the amount of people I had coming, so I freaked out. With my guests being mostly Puerto Rican and Italian, I knew regular coffee just wouldn't cut it. Enter Melissa at Grounded. I did an internet search and came upon her website. I messaged her and asked for details and pricing. I was impressed with the amount of items (and the quality) included in her espresso bar menu and the price was phenomenal. My venue had never hosted an espresso bar before and I had a limited amount of time to find out if everything would work out. They were concerned with the amount of electricity Melissa would need to operate her machine. To reassure them it would not be a problem, a week before the wedding she drove all the way to Brooklyn to test equipment...and she was the one who suggested this! She also customized the menu with specialty drink names according to my theme and added my wedding logo. She came in an hour before her official start time to set herself up, and since she was ready a little early she just started making coffees! She was beyond a dream to work with and I couldn't stop thanking her. I probably hugged her 5 times during my reception! Ha ha! EVERY vendor should be as responsible, dependable, communicative and as much of a joy to work with as Melissa is. All worked out magnificently and her espresso bar was as much a hit among my adult guests as it was among my young ones. The coffee (and hot chocolate) is delicious! I cannot recommend Melissa and Grounded. Coffee Catering highly enough. She catered my bridal shower in Manhattan this past weekend and was a huge success. All the guests raved and are continuing to rave about the delicious hot chocolate, the wonderful lattes and cappuccinos and the fantastic service. It was like having Starbucks (which I love) at the event, but better! She had every type of milk, espresso drink, hot drink and flavored syrup, plus a great set-up and display. WOW. Melissa just catered our wedding this weekend and we had a large group of 180 guests. Every time I looked over she was so friendly with all our wedding guests and we even had some who said they made more than five trips to the coffee bar because it was so good. She is so wonderful to the guests and her drinks were so delicious and not acidic. If you are a coffee buff this is a MUST! Throughout the whole process from planning till the day of the wedding she was gracious and made incorporating this service to our wedding a breeze. I was able to pick out syrups and drinks and her set up was beautiful it blended right into our event. Even after the wedding was wrapping up she graciously waited for us to take family portraits before receiving her final payment. There are not enough words to express how great this was.
