This is a really cute and cool place to hang out or stop by and get a coffee and some lunch or breakfast. Prices are a bit high on the specialty drinks. My husband ordered a cappuccino and it was maybe the size of a tall at Starbucks and was over $3, to me is kinda much. Customer service was great. We werent sure what we were going to order when we got to the register but the employee was patient with us and answered all our questions without getting frustrated. ( Thanks! ) Live music on weekends. Great fireplace area and also a side room that looks like you can have a private party in. There were also a couple of tables outside to sit at if you wanted to. I highly recommend this place. My friend and I have a goal to always try a new coffee shop each time we meet up, and this one we just tried and want to make it a consistent thing! This is such a cute cafe! As soon as I walked in, I was very impressed with the cute decor and how spacious it was inside. You can easily practice social distancing while enjoying their delicious coffee. Everyone was nice and I felt welcomed when I was there. I ordered iced cafe latte and a coffee (?) cupcake. I'm not sure why anyone is rating this bold new coffee gem less than five stars. What else is expected from a coffee shop that's not delivered here? Grounds And Gold has opened in style in a section of south Arlington that is barren of cool coffee. And mad respect for starting a food service business during a pandemic. Ballsy move. The product reflects a clear vision and a strong confidence in this concept that's perfectly suited to the Dalworthington Gardens and Racquet Club neighborhoods: class, quality, and just enough local underground coziness to make it accessible to students. The dining room is large, split level, with several types of spaces to choose from, lots of seating, and makes use of social distance spacing in a way that made us feel comfortable moving through the store, even as it became busier. Service was fast and friendly, and the menu is not over blown with catchy, sweet drinks. I tried the featured Micah Mocha, and found it smooth, adequately sweet, with a strong robust coffee flavor coming through. I didn't try any of the food, which for me is very much an accessory to a good coffee shop. Bathrooms were clean, parking easy and ample, and the swag fun to look at and nicely organized. To top it all off, my 16oz specialty drink was $5-even. You can't accuse these folks of over charging. I'm super in love with this place. Flock here! read more

I had a crust less veggie quiche with a lavender latte. Both where quite tasty. I try to support not only local but establishments that give back as well. The co-owner's son, Micah Ahern, passed away at the age of 6 of neuroblastoma cancer. Heartbreaking. So that his death wasn't in vain they have NEGU (never ever give up - Micah's motto) water bottles that give a percentage of sales to organizations that fight childhood cancer. So special. There is art work in the hallway to the restroom that is for sale. Restrooms are clean. Parking is plentiful. Table chairs are super comfy. Service was great. What is there not to love? Very cute spot for a bite and some coffee. There is a display case full of yummy pastries that you can choose from. There are tons of options on their coffee/tea menu. I ordered a hot chocolate which was made with a dark chocolate mix and almond milk with whipped cream on top. I've been here a few other times, and their pastries are really good and original. A Christian couple who started this after their sweet boy lost his fight to cancer. We share one thing in common, a son named Micah. And in a way, they've inspired me to keep living even after experiencing painful things in life. We loved seeing Bible studies there and ran into a familiar face. I hope they keep their doors open for a long time! Everyone working was very pleasant and kind. Food was great and my latte was incredible!! Next time I will order the bacon extra crispy. It was yummy, but I like my bacon cooked more crispy. The pickled onions were smooth and delicious. The coffee, divine!
