I absolutely LOVE the girls here BUT the owner Hailey. She has been very rude, has a fake tone when talking to customers, literally does NOT treat her employees well, and that is my own observation. The drinks are super good, when the owner Hailey isn't there, the customer service is great, the girls do amazing and always take care of the regulars :)

Drinks are always delicious! Wait time is getting longer and longer. They changed up their menu but it's only posted on the drive in. No drink menu at the order window so it's hit or miss on remembering what you wanted after waiting 20+ minutes in line that there is no way out of. Staff is friendly but also a bit slow.

i've reviewed this stand before and i've given them numerous chances but i finally had a free drink after a ton of visits. I finally use it just for the rude employee who literally didnt talk to us the entire time said i can only use a free one on the cheapest drink. I spend over 150 dollars for my 6 dollar drink to be free verses my 12 dollar drink?? Insanity.

Left side January 30th 2023, guess I should've looked closer on the picture that motivated me to come which was 2yrs ago. $$$

I love coming here! The service is always excellent, the product is always quality. I love having the confidence that my drink will be well worth it! I got their bullet proof coffee today and definitely love it! I love that they have an excellent selection of food! That they have multiple locations! I highly recommend this place! Sometimes I'm a little shocked at prices but that is the case for everywhere I go post Covid. Prices are so high these days. I realize it's no one's fault especially small businesses so I continue to support them! Sometimes they give you an chocolate covered espresso bean! Once in a while it's a little slow but that can really do be dependent on the customers speed, ya know? Can't recommend this place enough!

Both my son and I love grounds coffee for their over the top drinks. My son will usually have a kids size italian soda with all the things and I mean all - whipped cream, gummies, popsicles on top. It's a special treat. I usually get one of their seasonal specials. They are always super nice and really make an effort to make every drink extra special. The only thing that made me take a star off is they don't always have their special menu visible. They also don't make it available on a website or even on their social media. If you didn't know they made fun drinks beforehand and just go and ask for a regular espresso drink you might never find out what a special place this is.

They have the most EXTRA drinks! Little mini cinnamon rolls around the straw. Whipped cream everywhere. Candy adorning the lid. Syrups drizzled all over! It's madness and I loved the photos so I had to come check it out myself. Unfortunately while waiting in line and checking out their menu I remembered my tooth has been aching and a dentist visit is in my future... Poor judgment on my part but I was determined to try something! I went with a still very sweet and delicious option of a vanilla latte with brown sugar soft top and yes it was painfully good! It came out to around $8 total and I also got a pup cup. The best pup cup Bella has ever had actually and she's judged a lot of pup cups! They sprinkled some sort of freeze dried fish pieces or something on top like sprinkles and Bella's eyes just lit up seeing it. If anything, this visit turned out to be mainly for her so I highly recommend you bring your pups!

Great tasting coffee, extremely friendly and nice staff and a cute little shack to drive through and get a coffee.

Fun, creative, and unique treats! Skip ordering your usual latte or drip coffee here. This is a place to admire the craft and indulge your sweet tooth. The friendly women at this drive-through differentiate themselves from other local coffee joints through the amazing creations that they create on the spot. Their delicious, caffeinated art is worth the money!

I purposely drive out of the way to get a drink at this stand. The staff is always great. The team is so friendly and helpful when making decisions. It's my go to for an indulgent treat or even a simple latte. They have milk alternative options too. It always makes my day when I stop here. You may catch a line but it's worth the fun in a cup.

Caramel iced lattes and a complimentary pup cup!

I'm am NOT a coffee drinker, but I had one here once and now any time I'm near I can't resist. It is hands down the best coffee I've ever had. Their espresso is small batch artisanal coffee from a small local roaster called Martin Henry. Fantastic! It's a tiny lot coffee hut that always has a line and well worth the wait!!!!! So yummy.

Reese's peanut butter blended drink. Recommend the small version, glad I didn't go large! Yum!

Ask the Community - Grounds Coffee Co.

I was looking for a coffee shop near my location on Google Maps and came across Chateau Espresso, but on Yelp and Google (regular search), this is what shows up. Are Chateau Espresso and Grounds Coffee Co the same thing?

Hi Nicole ~ Yes, they are the same thing. We were formerly "Chateau Espresso" (back in 2016). We are now Grounds Co.…

They had a large selection of baked goods and pastries. Their cinnamon roll seemed popular, as it was already sold out. I ordered the chocolate chip cookie, banana bread, and carrot cake. The chocolate chip cookie was excellent. It had a nice texture with the right amount of chocolate and salt on top. The banana bread was good, but it was a bit dry for my preference. The carrot cake was tasty with just the right amount of frosting.

Sidekick compares favorably with my top tier of coffee shops in the broader area, including Bequest…read morein Mill Creek, 5 Stones in Kirkland, and Diva Espresso in Kenmore. It does the three things I care about most in a coffee shop well: good coffee, a space you actually want to spend time in, and consistently good service. Food & Drink: The coffee is legitimately good--not great, but good. They pull a good espresso shot and are solid across the espresso drinks. "The Local" is my go-to--a latte lightly sweetened with maple syrup from Woodinville Whiskey. It adds enough sweetness to be interesting without overwhelming the coffee. They also have a good selection of milk options and some seasonal/unusual rotating items (Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew happened to be on the menu recently). They don't, however, have a wide variety of straight black coffee options. Both the quality and variety of the pastries are high, with a few gluten-free options as well. I particularly like the savory scones. They also carry some useful non-pastry items like yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and string cheese. Pricing leans moderate to high, although that's pretty traditional for Woodinville. Ambiance & Service: This may be where Sidekick separates itself most. Lots of windows and natural light, plenty of room, and a good variety of seating with sofas, chairs, high tops, and tables. There is also substantial outdoor seating during the summer. It's a welcoming area. There is even a "walk-up" outdoor window for ordering. Noise level is moderate. You can comfortably work here, although I wouldn't try to take a call. Outlets are available along the exterior wall seating. Service has consistently been very good. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and does a good job with the drinks. It feels like a place that is well run rather than simply a nice space with good coffee. The biggest weakness is parking. There is street parking and some garage parking, but parking is problematic in general. Construction throughout 2025 and 2026 has made an already challenging situation noticeably worse. Final Thoughts: Four stars. Sidekick is my favorite coffee shop in Bothell/Woodinville and firmly in my top tier for the broader area. The combination of good espresso, high-quality pastries, very good service, and one of the better coffee shop spaces around makes it an easy place to want to return to, even if the parking makes it difficult. -AC

It was pretty easy to make a cake order and the writing was free, unlike online where it says $5 for writing. When I got the cake, I was a bit disappointed. The writing had bled onto the cake, there was a crack in the frosting and it appeared that the frosting at the bottom leaned piped to the board instead of the cake. I didn't bother mentioning this at pick up because it didn't seem like the worker was also the cake person. The cake itself was a tad dry but light and airy. For the price I paid, I was disappointed by the outcome. Even if it was due to additional cake orders due to mother's day, I do expect better than this when I buy a cake from a local bakery. Also if you like crispy croissants, I do not recommend the Sichuan pepper cruffin. It was tasty but it didn't have the crisp that you'd expect from a bakery.
