Pecan Sticky Bun (Left), OG Cinnamon Roll (Right)

I was randomly browsing through bakeries just outside of Seattle and came across Seattle Cinnamon Roll. Drive through cinnamon rolls? That's a first! This place intrigued me so much that I visited over the weekend. Luckily, since I don't actually like using drive throughs, they also have a walk up order window with some seating available to eat the freshest rolls possible. OG Cinnamon Roll ($7) - This is a pretty loose roll that comes apart easily when cut into, rather than being a tight roll. It's served by default with a sweet vanilla icing, and is warm and gooey when it firsts arrive. It has a good cinnamon flavor, is not overly sweet, and has a very tender bite. There's a small amount of crunch just at the top of the roll from some of the hard icing, but otherwise the interior is exceptionally tender. The mouthfeel is of undercooked dough, but looking at it, it's definitely cooked through! (5/5) Pecan Sticky Bun ($10.75) - Big sticky bun, probably 50% larger than the Cinnamon Roll (and 50% more expensive too!). The bun is super buttery, much denser than the cinnamon roll with a brioche-like dough. It seems to be brushed with tons of butter, then has pecans placed on top, and a sugary gel-like caramel sheet melted over everything. The sugary substance glues the pecans on and ensures that nothing manages to escape while eating. The pecans have a slight crunch and add a great nutty flavor. With that being said $11 for a sticky bun, no matter how good it is, is a little too rich for my blood! (5/5) The baked treats here are excellent, but oh man, that pricing. At least for me, this is a place for a special treat rather than somewhere to visit regularly. Note: This was my first cinnamon roll and sticky bun since moving to Seattle. I'm not familiar with the pricing vs. competitors. Maybe this is normal? Bathrooms - It's takeout only so I don't think they have one.

After a random conversation about cinnamon rolls, I ventured out into the Saturday morning rain to check out Seattle Cinnamon Roll in Woodinville. I passed up their driveway but it was easy enough to turn around in the next door parking lot. If it's your first time, they are across the street from WaFd Bank and on the same side of the road as the Chevron station. The drive through window guy was friendly and patient, plus it helped there wasn't a queue of cars behind me. Since it was my first visit, he suggested that I get one of their original cinnamon rolls which was the "OG" with vanilla icing. I also learned you can opt for a plain roll too but isn't the icing the best part? In addition to the OG, I got two more cinnamon rolls: one roll with cream cheese icing and spiced apples, and the other with spiced apples and caramel drizzle. I was curious to try one of their savory rolls but he told me that they wouldn't be ready for at least an hour, so I paid for my items and braved the rain back home. I have consumed half of the caramel apple roll and WOW, I am impressed. The apple mixture was nicely spiced and not sugary, allowing the natural sweetness of the apple mince to come through. I was glad for that because the caramel was sweet. On a couple of the bites, the caramel was a little gritty from sugar but it wasn't enough for me to dock the rating. I will definitely return if I am craving something like this again. The roll that I tried was of high quality and delicious. I would say strong black coffee + one of these = a grand start to your morning!

It's been a few years since I've been back here. A rare sudden craving for cinnamon rolls and I knew just the spot. The prices really went up. The OG is the basic one with a light glaze. It's pretty plain as is. If you want something more oozy gooey, frosty or with extra toppings you will need to pay the up charge and that's where it gets really expensive. This time I decided to add their house made espresso Nutella. I was expecting a lathering of Nutella spread but instead it was just another watery glaze on top of the vanilla glaze. It was strong on the espresso but very little Nutella so I was quite disappointed. Well, I'll still be back another day for the next craving that comes along.

Ummmmm YES PLEASE So I have heard about this place but never stopped. We were in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. There were 3 cars in front of us and it took about 15 minutes to order. Totally worth it. The rolls are fresh and delish. And HUGE! You can get cream cheese or vanilla. They have savory rolls on the weekends too. This is the strawberry, the OG, and a chocolate bobka. Yes! A chocolate bobka! It was sooooo good. Bobkas are hard to find on the west coast and this is worth waiting for. They were funny and friendly at the window. It's a drive up but it looks like they did have a table up front.

Stopped by 10/24 to pick up cinnamon rolls - all super amazing. Warm, moist and not overly sweet. Delicious. Owner is super friendly and chatty. If you're in the area, highly recommend you stop by and support a local business.

My first visit was decent, though the wait was long but ordering online on my second visit to save on time didn't help that either. It was a waist of time for rolls that appeared to be reheated. Not a place I'd go out of my way to visit again. They really need a better system.

Sticky bun, OG with peanut butter and vanilla glaze, OG with maple, and OG with cream cheese.

Finally made it to Seattle Cinnamon Roll on a late Saturday morning. There was no line and the employee was super nice! Since this was my first time, I wanted to try a variety but nothing too crazy. All rolls were warm, delicious, and not too sweet. They are definitely freshly baked. I love a good sticky bun and this one hit the mark. Gooey cinnamon and caramel was perfection. The OG with cream cheese was probably my favorite. The frosting created an amazing balance with the sweet cinnamon roll. Will definitely be back!

Delicious cinnamon rolls! perfect to gift to somebody on a tough day. Friendly service although a little bit of a wait but certainly worth it. A Woodinvile classic

I saw a blogger feature them on IG and knew I had to try it. They are a drive up in a parking lot that is easy to miss. I had to get a couple of original cinnamon rolls with glaze, Apple pecan, and cookies & cream. We loved them all. Cookies & cream come with oreo cookie crumble on top. I missed the sticky bun this time, will be back soon for that.

It was a cold morning so it was a perfect for a latte and a cinnamon roll. It's a small little building next to a construction site - another building going up, how sad. There's a few table outside which would be nice in warmer weather but most customers utilized the drive thru The rolls are about $5, pecan rolls were $7.25. There's a make your own rolls option $5-choose the icing and topping. We got the spiced apple, pecans and walnuts on cream cheese icing. The bun was nice and soft, icing was very sweet but hey, it's a cinnamon roll right? The apple and the nuts went well together. I'd try Nutella next time. The roll is huge- it easily can satisfy 2 people. Great to support small local businesses!

I left in the fridge overnight, air fried it the next day, and it still tastes so good. While this bakery is a bit tucked away, the unique flavors make it well worth the search. You can use the dedicated lot, and they provide parking validation. Will come again to try their black sesame pastries, tiramisu and mousse cakes.

It was pretty easy to make a cake order and the writing was free, unlike online where it says $5 for writing. When I got the cake, I was a bit disappointed. The writing had bled onto the cake, there was a crack in the frosting and it appeared that the frosting at the bottom leaned piped to the board instead of the cake. I didn't bother mentioning this at pick up because it didn't seem like the worker was also the cake person. The cake itself was a tad dry but light and airy. For the price I paid, I was disappointed by the outcome. Even if it was due to additional cake orders due to mother's day, I do expect better than this when I buy a cake from a local bakery. Also if you like crispy croissants, I do not recommend the Sichuan pepper cruffin. It was tasty but it didn't have the crisp that you'd expect from a bakery.
