Minimal seating, and when you finally get a seat all the tables are so wobbly. Pictured is my $9 coffee 10 secs after sitting down, make sure not to touch your table or risk wasting ur drink. Parking in the area is also $4/hr. The Coffee tasted fine but I was still bitter from only having half Also there key system for there bathrooms sucks. There was a wait of 3 ppl for the bathroom when I got there and took about 30min. It was the perfect storm to make me never want to come back

Coffee shop located in a neighborhood with other business and a lot of apartments. There is free parking for two hours and then you use an app to pay. There was exterior and interior seating, but definitely was crowded when we arrived at 10am. They were transparent that they were short staffed for the holiday and it took about 20 mins to receive our Americano and latte. They sell out of pastries quickly, they had two gluten free options available but no more inventory when we ordered.

They pull a very nice espresso. And yes, I mean they actually "pull" one, and they don't push a button like the Starbucks across the street do. So that means, you can ask for a longer extraction time etc. And yes, if you are a bit high picky when it come to creama, that's cool. The pasties are excellent and sourced from Macrina, who are world class. The staff are friendly, even at 630am! I recommend. It gets pretty loud in there during the day though, so bring your headphones...

Loved the environment, and loved the coffee! I got a salted maple latte and it was delicious. I also love that there's a lot of patio seating (would be great for a sunny day). The inside is spacious and cozy and was a perfect place to read my book

Lovely little coffee shop with amazing seasonal specials (and even alcohol-infused drinks!), ample indoor and outdoor seating, free parking, and free wifi. Easy in-person or mobile ordering through the app "Joe". They even have discounts for first-time mobile orderers (check their website!) I tried their seasonal iced peppermint truffle mocha (oat milk substitute +$0.75). It was so delicious that I demolished it before taking a picture! With chocolate truffle pieces and peppermint chunks, it was the perfect holiday treat. They even have a hot version and a blended version. The other holiday drinks like the eggnog and salted maple also looked amazing, but I can't have that much caffeine in a day! With free wifi, self-serve water, and outlets, I sat and worked on my laptop in the cafe happily for hours. There are clean, gendered restrooms down the hall outside of the coffee shop. The staff were very friendly and mobile order pickup is very easy. Highly recommend checking this place out if you need some caffeine while in Kirkland!

Got a fresh fade at my old school barber early this morning and realized I was under caffeinated. I stopped by Urban Coffee in Kirkland, a place I've been to many times. Lots of uncovered outdoor seating, and maybe seating for about 15 inside. Good selection of baked goods and all of the coffee options. On this particular day, the young barista had an infectious smile and it was just a really good interaction. I got a pour over and sat outside in the sun. The coffee had no bitterness or burnt flavor and was pretty tasty. Definitely helped with the "fix" I needed. The complex this shop is located in has plenty of options for restaurants, Top Pot doughnuts, and a short walk to Juanita Beach Park on Lake Washington. This is a place that I've met friends at multiple times, just a good all around coffee shop! 4.6 overall!

Decent coffee . Wanted caramel flavor but they were out of caramel. Loved the coconut Macaroon.

We got the coffee cake (couldn't taste the coffee in it), Caramel Latte (more milk than to my liking) and a Peppermint Latte (good). Small cozy place in Kirkland, good for a chit chat /coffee date.. follow it by walking to the Juanita Beach Park..good winter date setting! We were served quickly and could find a space to sit as well (considering it was a weekend)

Pistachio cardamom latte and spinach quiche. Yummy

This is such a great cafe with warm cozy vibes. The coffee was delicious and not too sweet. I loved the spinach Quiche, was the best I've had in a long while! Fluffy and silky with a perfect balanced flavor. The customer service was friendly.

Went for the famous pumpkin pie latte! It's the season! This place had lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Staff was friendly. We wanted to drink our coffee at the tables and thought we'd get proper drink ware, but instead we got paper cups. It was fine because then we were able to leave with our drinks. There's plenty of parking for 2 hours free of charge. I'll be back to try some of the other seasonal drinks they offer.

They are notorious for ferocious private parking meter-readers (not part of the city). Be sure to read the sign before leaving the vehicle. The Drinks and Food: Chocolate Oolong Milk Tea, $6.75(L) - 3.5 Stars The cashier said this is their most popular drinks. It still tasted quite sweet at 30% sweetness. Hubby said it tastes more like a chocolate milk. Ding it, he's right. (See what I did there.) Egg Coffee, $6.25 - 4 Stars Egg coffee is a northern Vietnamese specialty. Being in a paper cup takes away some of the charm, but such as is the U.S. lifestyle. It tasted as expected, a stronger, more roasted Viet coffee flavor. Mango Ice Tea, $6.75 - 3.5 Stars This is more of a mango drink with some tea taste - very fruity tea. Pandan Bubble Waffle, $7 - 4 Stars I came the second time mostly for this waffle. Served with whip cream and toasted coconut flake, the cashier looked at me like I grew an extra eye when I said whip cream only, no coconut. She literally didn't know how to respond to me. I am guessing they pre-pack the cream with the coconut already in it, and she didn't have time to pack another one. She handed us the bag with what we didn't want and left. I should lower the rating more, but I do like this waffle.

THRULINE COFFEE @ DOWNTOWN KIRKLAND…read more Parking is available along the street, and there are also multiple parking lots throughout downtown Kirkland. I ended up parking near the small plaza with the UPS Store and Nothing Bundt Cakes, and it was only about a 3-minute walk to get there. When I walked in around 9:30 AM on a Tuesday, it was already pretty packed. There were a lot of people on their laptops, grabbing coffee, and just hanging out, it felt super lively. I love the overall environment of downtown Kirkland, so I was really excited to finally try this spot since it's been on my radar for a while. I was also meeting a friend, which made the experience even better. I ordered their pizza scone, and it looked so good, and it definitely delivered. It was warm, crusty, and had such a unique flavor combination. I've honestly never had anything like it before, and it just felt perfect for a spring morning. I also got a hot chocolate, which wasn't my favorite. It leaned more on the watery side. The space itself is really nice and spacious. They have plenty of seating in both the front and back, which is great whether you're meeting friends or getting work done. Their menu is also pretty extensive, with options like sandwiches, pastries, drip coffee, matcha, vanilla lattes pretty much everything you'd expect from a café. One thing I appreciated was how fast the service was. Our order came out in less than two minutes, which was impressive, especially given how busy it was. The staff were also super friendly, which always makes a difference. Overall, I really enjoyed the vibe here. Even though the hot chocolate could've been better, I'd still definitely come back and try more items.

We got to sample five teas and several pieces of chocolate, as well as snacks to clear the palate between teas. We learned about tea and how its harvested, as well as the processing of tea. We also learned about the tea flavor wheel and identified tea tasting notes in the sampled teas. I do wish there was more of a compare and contrast between the teas - it would have been cool to try the same teas but early vs late season, or tea processed similarly but from different regions. If you're new to tea though, the classes are perfect for you!

We visited LizzyKate as we were interested in taking one of their tea classes. We had seen several…read morepop up in the past, but hadn't seen anything interesting in the past few months, so we dropped in to ask about them. Apparently rather than being prescheduled most of the time, they are held on demand. We asked for an Oolong tasting session and was able to get one penciled in a couple of weeks later. The store itself is appropriately decorated for a modern and trendy tea shop. There's a bit of an overpowering perfume that lingers throughout the store. It's not the best setting for a tea tasting, especially when trying to differentiate tasting notes when the olfactory glands are already completely saturated with perfume. LizzyKate has a decent selection of true tea, nothing super unique or rare, but I think they lean towards the more accessible blends and tisanes in the first place. Oolong Tasting Class ($35/per person) - Tasting sessions are held in the bar area, brewed mostly using gaiwan with carefully measured water temperature and volume. The class provides some educational material including laminated papers describing the tea production process, growing regions, anatomy, etc. More importantly, unlike some other tasting sessions I've attended, they actually provide pencil and paper, along with brewing instructions, to write down cupping and tasting notes. It certainly beats taking notes on my phone as I usually do. For this course, we tasted a white tea and four different oolongs. My personal tasting notes as follows (for future reference for myself): Bai Mu Dan - Mild, mellow, sweet and slightly astringent flavor with notes of honey and hay. Light golden liquid that's very easy to drink. Tie Guan Yin - Caramelized sweetness, vegetal leafy with a tiny earthy element. Darker golden color with more astringency and round lingering taste. The leaves smell smoky and roasted. Baihao - The smell is distinctively roasty and earthy, approaching the fermented smell of puerh. It has a brownish color and tastes smoky and earthy like peat. Formosa Oolong - It tastes of malt and molasses, with a certain oxidized toastiness. The color is more dark brown although it's not very astringent given the color. Osmanthus Oolong - This smells more malty and surprisingly not that flowery in aroma. The mouthfeel is extremely creamy and silky, almost like milk with the balanced taste of barley and hops with only a slight osmanthus flowery taste in the background. I think the base used is Jin Xuan given the milkiness. With the tasting also comes some treats including mini muffins and some tea infused bars from a chocolatier in Singapore, Fossa Chocolate. I think LizzyKate is more geared towards people who don't have much experience with tea and want a place that's extremely welcoming and modern. They have lattes and plenty of herbal and fruity infusions to help beginners ease into the complexities of tea, While this shop isn't for me, more tea shops are always welcome in the area. I'd definitely recommend it to my friends who want to dip their toes into the world of tea. Bathrooms - Single unisex room.
