Seawolf chocolate croissant, and a burrito

We took our car in for service and took a walk to get some coffee. We walked in and the settings pretty simple. I took a look at the pastry case. I saw they had the sea with chocolate croissants, which I know my husband love so we ordered one to share along with a breakfast burrito My husband had a coffee and I ordered the Cafe Sin Olla and grabbed a seat. This probably would be a four hour view had not been for the Cafe Sin Olla. Oh my goodness it was so delicious little bit of spice a little bit of sweet and just smooth. I love a cafe de Olla however this was an excellent spin on this drink. Kind of like a latte de olla. YUM We thoroughly enjoyed the Sea Wolf croissant, which is no surprise. The breakfast burrito was also quite tasty although I would have like some salsa or Tapatio to go with it. I didn't ask. I didn't put a lot of time looking so it could've been there. I missed it. Excellent coffee has some goodies to nosh on while I'm waiting for my car check completed service. I'd say it was a good day.

Coffee at this place is something special. It is really special in appearance with the latte art. Taste of coffee is amazing. Something really unique. We had an ube latte however, the ube flavor was not strong. Not sure if they just put in food color to duplicate the ube color but lacks in taste. Mocha however was really good You order from the counter and you are called once your order is ready. We did not eat as we just had a big meal. Really cozy nice place to chat or do some work. Lots of tables of assorted size for your group.

I've been to this wonderful coffee shop before and we came back to try it again. We were a group of 5. We order 3 lattes, 2 of which are Ube. My wife and I shared a glass of fresh orange juice. We didn't order pastries, because we just wanted coffee and they were stellar. Not only did they taste good, but the latte art on the foam was beautiful.! The service was quick and efficient. The space is beautiful, not cramped at all. The decor is modern and very appealing. Plenty of parking outside in Totem Kake.

Fun atmosphere, place was packed . First time there and really liked the ambiance. Ordered black coffee and loved the pastry selection. Will have to go again to try them .

Lavender matcha latte - $8 before tip

Here's the thing about 203 Coffee...the location is prime and the coffee is good. But - seating is tough (it's very loud and not many options) and the prices are ridiculous. I order a lavender matcha latte and before tip it costs almost $8. The coffee is good but it's hard to stomach the price. If you are in a pinch and looking for a one-off good coffee, sure this will work. But I personally can't justify this a regular "go to" at this price.

Came here for a quick coffee and to work a bit during the day. The service is pretty fast which I appreciate and the inside of the cafe has plenty of seating so it was easy to find a place to work. I got the Madagascar vanilla latte and it was pretty good, nothing substantially different than what you might find at a similar small local coffee shop.

The place is usually busy. We visited in the evening and ordered Cortado. We can easily say it was one of the best Cortados we have had. Parking is usually a challenge as the area is quiet busy. We usually park at a public parking garage and walk to the cafe. Overall a good place to hang out with friends and have good coffee.

Got here at 9am. I always pass by this coffee shop and i finally got to try it! The service is great: Not to long, yet not to short. The place isnt that busy so the ambiance was perfect. Made me want to take my laptop and study here too!! I got a frost mocha. It was delicious-but I wish that when you order, they tell you that they're gonna put mint whilped cream and peppermint chips. that's my only drawback. It would've been nice to know! Ive also got a hot chocolate-let me tell you: it's PERFECT. From the steamed milk, to the froth-id definitely come back for something basic like this! The grilled cheese is perfect! Fresh and SUPER cheesy! I love colby jack!

    Affogato and latte

I always enjoy a little Tête-à-tête at 203, so most of the time the place is very chill and you can find a table easily, buuuuut it has gotten a little more popular and might have a little more difficulty there, luckily the weather is getting a little warmer and you can find a few chairs outside. The coffee's are always great, not too acidic which is what I prefer, the pastries are hit or miss, the spinach and cheese pastry is very yummy as is the chocolate cornetto, the banana bread was a complete miss from me and I do wish they would add more pastry option or have a larger quantity of what they already carry as the case is mostly empty most times we stop by.

    Cappuccino for me.
    Nami N.

I came here to meet my friend at 10:30 am. Luckily, I was able to park near the store. The store was half full of customers. I ordered a cappuccino and sat down. But I was at a loss when my cappuccino would be ready. I didn't feel good about just going to the counter and checking out the drink I ordered. The cappuccino tasted good. I'm going to visit again next time.

    Earnie G.

The name would suggest an elevate coffee experience by coffee experts and connoisseurs. The experience is instead just decent coffee in a nice and clean facility. It's a (fairly big) step above Starbucks for sure, but nothing to write home about.

I really like the atmosphere here and the location. There are tables inside and outside seating. The coffee was good and the burrito was okay - a little overpriced ($25 for both). However, the service is friendly and very nice!

I absolutely love their specialty drinks like honey cardamom, and a shakerato. The vibe and atmosphere is wonderful. It's usually social and low-key but never too loud. They have excellent food, matcha with option to remove sugar (not all coffee shops have this!). Generally, I feel like their staff is really great! Love the location minus the issues with parking being tricky for a quick stop, sometimes need to pay. I keep coming back here! With gas prices over six dollars and budgets getting tighter for so many the one thing that hinders me is their prices. Their baseline drinks are an average of $5.75 + tip. Quiche slice is $8 two hard boiled eggs near $4. Typical typically if I'm gonna spend almost $10 I'd rather buy a fancy drink like a bubble tea or go out for an appetizer and food. When you own your own espresso machine and Matcha at home it's hard to justify getting such expensive drinks unless there is that "I can't make this at home" appeal - housemade syrups, Boba, etc I do love that urban coffee lounge has pour over options which can be time-consuming and cold brew, which is delicious and also more time-consuming. I appreciate their presence in the neighborhood. Having lived in Seattle for so long with so much access to incredible coffee I appreciate urban coffee lounges level of expertise with coffee. It is more rare on the east side. (Zoka is great of course!) And I will keep coming back, but sparingly due to prices. (Am I the only one who feels this way? Let me know!) Thanks for being here, urban coffee lounge!

They do have a restroom, plenty of seating outside, kinda limited seating inside. They do have a wide array of offerings. I got the spinach and feta quiche with a strawberry matcha. The spinach quiche was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed that. My strawberry matcha was not too sweet (I usually ask for everything half sweet and did not this time). The staff were friendly. Prices are reasonable for this day and age. I sat outside and enjoyed the sun! It's a great place to hang out, probably not great for groups unless you sit outside. Dogs are not allowed inside, so tie them up or have a buddy watch them while you go inside. Parking is street or under an apartment complex near by. Not sure if you pay or validate inside those apartment retail parking garages because I parked along the side streets. Park Mobile is the app you use to pay for parking. I paid about $4 ish for an hour. Overall, if I'm in the area and got the time to hangout, it's a cute place to do so.

We got to sample five teas and several pieces of chocolate, as well as snacks to clear the palate between teas. We learned about tea and how its harvested, as well as the processing of tea. We also learned about the tea flavor wheel and identified tea tasting notes in the sampled teas. I do wish there was more of a compare and contrast between the teas - it would have been cool to try the same teas but early vs late season, or tea processed similarly but from different regions. If you're new to tea though, the classes are perfect for you!

We visited LizzyKate as we were interested in taking one of their tea classes. We had seen several…read morepop up in the past, but hadn't seen anything interesting in the past few months, so we dropped in to ask about them. Apparently rather than being prescheduled most of the time, they are held on demand. We asked for an Oolong tasting session and was able to get one penciled in a couple of weeks later. The store itself is appropriately decorated for a modern and trendy tea shop. There's a bit of an overpowering perfume that lingers throughout the store. It's not the best setting for a tea tasting, especially when trying to differentiate tasting notes when the olfactory glands are already completely saturated with perfume. LizzyKate has a decent selection of true tea, nothing super unique or rare, but I think they lean towards the more accessible blends and tisanes in the first place. Oolong Tasting Class ($35/per person) - Tasting sessions are held in the bar area, brewed mostly using gaiwan with carefully measured water temperature and volume. The class provides some educational material including laminated papers describing the tea production process, growing regions, anatomy, etc. More importantly, unlike some other tasting sessions I've attended, they actually provide pencil and paper, along with brewing instructions, to write down cupping and tasting notes. It certainly beats taking notes on my phone as I usually do. For this course, we tasted a white tea and four different oolongs. My personal tasting notes as follows (for future reference for myself): Bai Mu Dan - Mild, mellow, sweet and slightly astringent flavor with notes of honey and hay. Light golden liquid that's very easy to drink. Tie Guan Yin - Caramelized sweetness, vegetal leafy with a tiny earthy element. Darker golden color with more astringency and round lingering taste. The leaves smell smoky and roasted. Baihao - The smell is distinctively roasty and earthy, approaching the fermented smell of puerh. It has a brownish color and tastes smoky and earthy like peat. Formosa Oolong - It tastes of malt and molasses, with a certain oxidized toastiness. The color is more dark brown although it's not very astringent given the color. Osmanthus Oolong - This smells more malty and surprisingly not that flowery in aroma. The mouthfeel is extremely creamy and silky, almost like milk with the balanced taste of barley and hops with only a slight osmanthus flowery taste in the background. I think the base used is Jin Xuan given the milkiness. With the tasting also comes some treats including mini muffins and some tea infused bars from a chocolatier in Singapore, Fossa Chocolate. I think LizzyKate is more geared towards people who don't have much experience with tea and want a place that's extremely welcoming and modern. They have lattes and plenty of herbal and fruity infusions to help beginners ease into the complexities of tea, While this shop isn't for me, more tea shops are always welcome in the area. I'd definitely recommend it to my friends who want to dip their toes into the world of tea. Bathrooms - Single unisex room.

I ended up parking near the small plaza with the UPS Store and Nothing Bundt Cakes, and it was only about a 3-minute walk to get there. When I walked in around 9:30 AM on a Tuesday, it was already pretty packed. There were a lot of people on their laptops, grabbing coffee, and just hanging out, it felt super lively. I love the overall environment of downtown Kirkland, so I was really excited to finally try this spot since it's been on my radar for a while. I was also meeting a friend, which made the experience even better. I ordered their pizza scone, and it looked so good, and it definitely delivered. It was warm, crusty, and had such a unique flavor combination. I've honestly never had anything like it before, and it just felt perfect for a spring morning. I also got a hot chocolate, which wasn't my favorite. It leaned more on the watery side. The space itself is really nice and spacious. They have plenty of seating in both the front and back, which is great whether you're meeting friends or getting work done. Their menu is also pretty extensive, with options like sandwiches, pastries, drip coffee, matcha, vanilla lattes pretty much everything you'd expect from a café. One thing I appreciated was how fast the service was. Our order came out in less than two minutes, which was impressive, especially given how busy it was. The staff were also super friendly, which always makes a difference. Overall, I really enjoyed the vibe here. Even though the hot chocolate could've been better, I'd still definitely come back and try more items.

They were all sold out of the lemon poppyseed muffins they sell but she gave me a freebie of a lemon poppyseed muffin top that was a mistake order they cannot sell and not their usual muffins which was very kind. Now on to the drink! It was super delicious and the barista let me know during our conversation that they get their Matcha from Japan which is awesome. She whisked the matcha right in front of me which as a matcha lover was nice to see. The menu is creative with barista choices and a variety of options. I look forward to trying something different next time. Only con for me was the massive ice cubes. Holy balls! Literally...ice was thicc. Refer to my photos. He mentioned all their signature coffee drinks, signature energy drinks, and some classic drinks. It took me a long time to decide but he was very patient throughout the whole interaction. They have both great outdoor seating and inviting indoor dining as well. I started with a nice London Fog made with Earl Gray from Smith Teamaker. It comes in one size - large. My Mom got the Eggs Benedict with fresh dill which she enjoyed even though there was a slight hiccup. The English muffin under the eggs was over toasted and was very difficult to cut with a knife. But the staff was very gracious and remade the whole thing in no time. I got the roast chicken with goat cheese sandwich and my wife got the smoked turkey sandwich. Both come on bread they bake themselves. The fresh greens on both really elevated the sandwiches. DERU also has an excellent bakery case. We ordered a slice of the Coconut cake. It was a generous slice and delicious. If you don't have time to dine can walk up and order pastries to go. Will definitely be back again!

We started with the fresh garden salad with pepitas. greens, herby dressing and pickled carrots at Deru, then dove into two wood fired, blistered pizzas, the mushroom and the pepperoni. Add a bottle of vinho verde and who could complain? The ordering process was a little confusing at first, but the second visit should be easier. Pro tip: don't stand in the long line unless you're ordering to-go. Find a table, scan the QR code, and order. Fun atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and genuinely good food. My main complaint? One bathroom. Rough. Deru Cafe has an extensive menu that covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with outstanding baked goods, pizza, and nightly dinners to go. The long line of cars outside speaks to its popularity. Last year about 1,500 loyal customers picked up Thanksgiving meals here, a testament to the quality of their offerings (and to convenience.) After eating here, I get it.
