Came here at the suggestion of a date. The "local coffee spot of Woodinville" nestled in with a lot of other shops and developments in the area. Sidekick offers all that a cool coffee shop offers - hip baristas, cool decor and good coffee. Sidekick is fairly spacious with high top seating, lounge seating and a couch amongst other places to sit. There is even outdoor seating. Service was good as seems like a staple in the neighborhood. The drinks were good and were served up quickly. I didn't get anything fancy for this particular visit - just my usual Mocha which was sufficiently chocolatey and hit the spot. This would also be my first time in this part of Woodinville and despite some construction going on around it, it's a nice spot to grab some drinks and hang out before or after checking out the area. read more

It's impressive to look around at the seating that accommodates so many people. How can a coffee shop be this awesome! The ambience is lovely. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. When my daughter spilled her hot chocolate, they cleaned it all up and gave her another hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles! No expectations from them for doing that. Their chocolate croissant is one the best I've had. I also loved their matcha tea cake and the sourdough chocolate chip banana bread. Their coffees are also top notch. My family and I stopped by Sidekick Coffee after watching the annual Woodinville Street Parade and Bassett Hound Brigade Festival. This was my first time, but my family had been before. The interior is very spacious and modern. Their logo is a Bassett Hound which is super cute and fitting for the city. They serve fresh pastries everyday and a variety of espresso and tea drinks. Sidekick also has a rotating seasonal menu- the current summer menu includes a blood orange tonic, berry nutty latte, and blueberry matcha. I tried their seasonal BERRY NUTTY LATTE (16-oz, iced, with oat milk (+$0.85)) for about $7 with tax and tip. The drink had blackberry and black sesame with a blackberry coconut cloud which was unique in both taste and texture. The berry taste was subtle and the drink overall had more of a black sesame taste with black sesame seeds floating throughout the drink. The espresso was nice and smooth with no acidity. I wish the berry taste was stronger and maybe just a slightly but sweeter, but it was a pretty good drink overall. Service was good. The baristas were very friendly and we got our order within 10 minutes after ordering, despite there being quite a long line of customers. How have I missed this spot before now?! Sidekick is a lovely coffee shop with an open, airy ambiance that is welcoming of laptop warriors and chatting friends alike. Luckily, the space isn't the only excellent thing about the cafe. Their coffee is top and their baked goods are ridiculously good. I had a seasonal latte called practical magic, flavored with rosemary and lavender. It was so unique and delicious; not too sweet, not soapy, but herbaceous in a way that complements the espresso perfectly. Then there are the pastries which are out of this world. I had a fantastic cardamom bun which was more like a cardamom perfumed kouign amman (they also make those with sweet and savory fillings). I also got to try a rainbow sprinkle sugar cookie after my child decided he wanted a popsicle instead. That cookie is the devil's work. Snappy outside, slightly gooey inside, goes straight to the brain to trigger all the naughty dopamine. Go here to work, study, chat, or snack. You can't lose. read more

My wife seemed to enjoy her latte, and the couch was definitely comfortable, and the chocolate croissant was pretty good. But do NOT order the "dark hot chocolate". It's just hot water with a tiny pinch of cocoa powder in it. The only thing you can taste is water. I almost wanted to ask for a refund for that but I didn't. They needed to use milk (or a vegan alternative) and sugar in addition to adding more cocoa powder, especially when a small was close to $5. read more

Cute coffee shop in the heart of the redeveloped mixed use commercial/residential area of Woodinville. Super friendly service as soon as you walk in. Got an oat milk latte which is filled to the brim in a large mug with the beautiful artwork from the milk. I also grabbed a ham and gruyere croissant to have with my latte. The croissant was so delicious and flaky. The cheese flavor was subtle, yet complemented the savory flavor of the ham. If I ever have a meeting, I will come here as apparently so do many others in the area as this place filled up quick by 9 am. So get here a little early if you can. Definitely worth it. read more

The cortado was solid overall, but my wife's matcha was a bit cool once we got it and the matcha flavor was not strong enough. At the time parking was an issue, but I think the city was setting up for an event in the area which affected it. Bathrooms aren't in store, but in the adjacent fitness center. Just stumbled upon this gem of a place. Had seen it with some friends and they had nothing but good to say about it so I came back the next day with my partner in crime (boyfriend) and we checked it out! We arrived around 9:20am on a Friday and oh my, it was packed! We had intended to work from there but could not find a seat inside, they were all occupied. We went ahead and gazed at all the pastries and made our decisions. I ordered an iced vanilla oatmilk latte, I asked for soy milk but they don't carry it. It was delicious. My other half ordered a plain iced latte with whole milk. Also delicious. Instead of pastries we opted for there breakfast offerings, I got a sausage breakfast sandwich and he got a breakfast burrito. Everything came out super quick. We did manage to find a seat outside but were freezing since it was super cold that day. We ate quickly and then headed back home. I love the space, the taste of the coffee and the aesthetic. I went here for macaron Friday (a small business selling their macarons here), and little did I know they have great coffee here. I tried the great pumpkin latte, and it was delicious. Sweet and like a cup of fall. I could drink this drink over and over. Plus, who doesn't love latte art. They have other drinks that I would like to go back and try, but I haven't made it back yet. As for the shop itself, it is on the small side. There are different style seats from tall tables, counter chairs, regular tables, etc. Going at lunch or Friday afternoon is pretty busy with limited seating. The entrance is also not stroller friendly, as in you have to go down a step and to be honest there isn't much room to wheel one around either. read more

The little dog mascot is so cute - i wanted to buy the ceramic mug. (but do i realllly need a new mug? no.) The interior and location is great! Staff were nice enough. Cute coffee shop! There is a little gift section where you can find items like cute mugs and tea and other merch. This looked like a popular coffee shop in the area as people kept coming in and out. We had a dog with us - they let us get coffee inside with the dog but we were not allowed to sit with the dog inside. I ordered the matcha latte, which tasted like milk - it wasn't that great but I assume their coffee is better. I also got the orange cranberry scone, which was pretty good! I took some home and had it warmed up the next day and it was still good. If you need to go to the bathroom, they let you use the bathroom inside the gym that is located in the same building. read more

I stopped in to Sidekick Coffee this morning. It's a cute place with a colorful ambiance. It was very busy there this morning, but the staff members were sweet and welcoming. I ordered the Chai Tea. My companion ordered the Hot Chocolate. My Chai Tea was delicious. I had a taste of the Hot Chocolate too, and I liked it. It tasted more bitter than sweet. I am a fan of Hot Chocolates that taste more bitter. The outdoor blue and white checked chairs were so cute, but I found it a bit cold to sit outside today, so we sat indoors. The chairs and the bench were very hard, but I doubt that bothers many people. I do prefer soft seating personally, though, but many places do not have that. I appreciated the sign as soon as you enter that stated, "Mind Your Step." There is a large step down between the entrance area and the order area. There is quite a bit of merchandise for sale from local businesses on display at Sidekick Coffee. I perused several of the items with interest, but I didn't purchase anything today other than my Chai Tea. I am still recovering from holiday shopping purchases last month. I would stop in to Sidekick Coffee again any time. Very cute place, with yummy Chai Tea and good customer service. read more

Everything is solid except for the matcha which I honestly should have expected. It's called "Sidekick Coffee" not "Sidekick Coffee & Matcha." I ordered a blueberry matcha and it tastes pretty close to nothing, but maybe a little like fruity pebbles milk. Coffee is good though! Lots of fun little things to buy from their gift shop area too.
