He came a day later than he told me he would, without telling me ahead of time. Replaced my mulched area with gravel without telling me. He also left a giant pile of gravel on my lawn for a full day, killing a big patch of grass. I needed paver bricks laid, and he rebuilt pillars on the patio without telling me. While rebuilding the pillars, he cut the wire that was connected to light fixtures that are on top of the pillars. Fernando would not admit that he cut the wire, but I confirmed with an electrician that there is no power running to the end of those wires, so they were cut along the way. After weeks of calling Fernando and asking him to come out to take a look at the light fixtures, he either never responded or ghosted me. Stay safe and spend a little more money to have work done by people that won't damage your property and won't waste your time.

I had one zone that for years was not working properly. I called 3 companies. The first was the orginal installer back in 1998. They said too many heads in the one zone, I said you are the ones that designed and installed the system. They said maybe water pressure dropped over the years. So they removed one of the heads in that zone. It helped but not 100%. They said it was the best it would get our water pressure must have dropped. The only way to correct it would be to install a pump to build up pressure. I called company 2 they looked and said it was a tree root issue, do to the neighbors trees. Did not have the tool with them to check were the blockage was. Said they would need to come back. Instead they called me with a quoted of $2000 to run new lines. I asked what about looking for the blockage? They said it would be a waste of time. Not satisfied I called John's sprinkler system 708.349.3522. They came out worked on the system for about 2 hours. The first thing the techs (Julio and Jeff) found was a head was cracked. The system worked but not 100%. They looked and found a leak in the line by another speaker head. They dug it up and repaired it. The pressure is so good now it was spraying the house, the neighbors yard and our shed. They adjusted all heads and spray patterns. The system works like new. I highly recommend John's sprinkler system.

She presented me with three different design options, worked with me to stay within my budget, and then executed the project exactly as she explained she would. What really stood out, though, wasn't just the quality of the work, it was the communication. It was clear, transparent, and consistent before, during, and even after the project. That level of professionalism is surprisingly rare in the home improvement industry. I own a house that was built in 1887, and over the past eight years I've hired countless companies for projects including a new deck, porch, fencing, painting, paver installation, and just about everything else you can think of. One of the most frustrating parts of working with companies in this industry is the lack of organization and communication. She then took those and made three very detailed designs in video format. From there we went back and forth a few times as I wanted a combination of designs. Throughout the entire process Lisa was patient and also answered several questions I had about plants. She oversaw the installation and came back the next day to tidy everything up.
