Initially contacted Groundworks from their commercials to investigate minor interior drywall cracking issue. Our inspector, Corey Myers, conducted a thorough exterior/interior/crawlspace inspection and reassured us that the cracking was not a foundation issue. He did confirm water problems we were aware of in our crawlspace and laid out a detailed encapsulation plan to fix those. We opted to move forward with the project and are thoroughly happy we did! Groundworks contacted us to start the job early due to opening in their schedule. Esteban and his crew, Michael and Oscar, were punctual, polite and courteous. Esteban kept us up to speed at the beginning and end of each work day as well as informing us on issues discovered during the day. We were provided progress pictures on a daily basis, our interior home was protected as the crawlspace access is from inside the home and his crew left our home clean each day. The job was initially projected to take 5 days but was finished in 4! Esteban conducted a thorough walk-thru of our crawlspace explaining operation of the new sump pump/drainage installation and crawlspace dehumidifier operation. Our inspector, Corey Myers, returned at our request to ensure the job contracted work was completed as well. We viewed this pricey job as an investment in our home and a future selling point! Dan and his crew performed a thorough inspection, taking lots of pictures, and helped us understand the issues in our crawlspace and foundation, taking all the time needed to answer our questions. There was no hard sell; Dan simply explained and helped us prioritize the most important problems. We wanted to save money by doing some of the work ourselves, and Dan was not only okay with that, but he showed my husband how to do some of the work and came back to inspect his work and give us tips. He expedited our job on the schedule, since we were without heat until repairs were made, and finished the job faster than we expected. When the dehumidifier broke down, he sent a man to remove and replace it very quickly. On top of all this, the crew kept a very clean worksite and left everything as clean as they found it. All around friendly, professional, and helpful. I hope I never need crawlspace work again, but if I do I will call Rainy Day. read more

We hired Rainy Day to install their water guard and triple safe sump system in our basement after it was overwhelmed with water in last year's flooding. From start to finish, this has been a great experience. The sales and customer service team were patient and worked with us to figure out the best solution, and got us scheduled around our busy lives. We were especially impressed by how diligent and professional the crew was. They spent 4 days here installing the system (they finished a day early!) and left the basement and house cleaner than when they got here. Earned 6 out of 5 stars! David Nush and his motivated team far exceeded expectations. we had a very big job which was completed on schedule. David was fantastic... with a brief each morning to manage expectations and an informative end-of-day status update. A day or two after the job was completed we changed our mind on the location of a component so we called David late Friday afternoon to let him know we intended to call the office to schedule his return the following week. He had just gotten home from a different job and he was finished for the week. He insisted on coming that evening to make the changes we wanted. Wow, world class customer service! read more

First, met with Matt, the field inspector, who described the process, time involved, and project amount. He was professional and friendly. Then we met the site crew, Samuel and Kevin. Can't say enough about how hard they worked, and the amazing results. They communicated with us several times during the course of the project, answering questions, showing us what they had done, and suggesting we take photos of the project that would soon be buried under dirt, in case we had questions later. I can't speak highly enough about Groundworks. I had a complicated crawlspace problem, including water intrusion. I got several proposals from different companies and individual contractors. Rainy Day Basements saved my sanity and my crawlspace. We live in Mount Vernon and have been dealing with a rat infestation for several years.
