    I would like to bring your attention to my on-going experience with Acura of Sugar Land. I bought a 2020 Honda Odyssey (pre-owned) from the dealership on January 6, 2025. I paid on that day. I test drove the vehicle and was told that the dealership requires 3 days to clean and inspect the vehicle before delivery. While on the test drive there was an irregular sound from the AC fan which I pointed out and was told that while the vehicle is inspected, they will fix that along with other issues such as some body work and paint work. I was assured that the car will go through a rigorous inspection before delivery. The vehicle was delivered to me on Friday - January 17th after 11 days. During that time I was told that there would be no loaner. The day after I took delivery, and less than 50 miles after driving the car, I have experienced the following: 1) The steering and the wheels start vibrating at 50mph 2) The brakes make a loud squealing sound and braking is wobbly 3) The drivers side mirror has a broken bracket 4)The windows on the driver and passenger door probably have missing support or rubber - they sound like they do not have any rubber support 5)The privacy screen on the rear passenger doors are torn 6) All the 4 tires are different with different tread depths I was told that the car went through inspection - I would expect a thorough inspection from a dealership like Sterling Mcall. I reached out to my sales representative to inform her of the issues to see if she could possibly have them repaired but the response I got was "When we went for a test drive it drove fine. You went over the speed limit. Did you buy extended warranty?" NO! I did not buy extended warranty because I would expect the dealership would deliver a vehicle that has been test driven before delivery. I am also unsure how the sales representative concluded that I went over the speed limit, and also how that would have any impact to brakes, and steering vibrations, mirrors and the issues identified above. Acura asked me to bring the car back - they had it in the shop for a day - told me they changed the brakes but the issues remain - brakes are still wobbly - I have reached out to the manager several times and no response!

    Sludge in the engine did this to my cousin

    Do not buy from this dealership (MO SCHNITZER) Car salesman is terry Cortez Finance manager is wilder Vasquez This dealership (terry cortez) sold me a 2020 buick encore, and one month later, i find a massive amount of sludge buildup in the engine and a missing catalytic converters heat sheild. I bought a warranty that covers more than just the engine tranmission and drive train, but no warranty covers sludge buildup. One month after I purchased the vehichle the fan clutch malfunctioned and overheated the car so I sent it back to the dealership just for them to tell me I also have alot of sludge in the engine and my warranty will not pay to fix the problem. After I tell the sales director (MO SCHNITZER) the issue, he doesn't seem to care or have a solution and goes on to not answer any of my calls or text messages for almost a month, eventually I drive up there and tell him I don't want the car and the warranty company is advising I have the seller pay for the damages (NON-DISCLOSED ENGINE SLUDGE). HE CONTINUES REFUSING TO HELP AND REFUSES TO GET HIS BOSS SO I CAN TELL HIM THE COMPANY HAS SOLD ME A BAD VEHICHLE He offers me a lot less money for the car than what I bought it for and will not help with his mistake. I HAVE A FULL DIAGNOSIS REPORT FROM GMC THAT STATES THERE IS ENGINE SLUDGE BUILDUP AND A MISSING CATALYTIC CONVERTER HEAT SHEILD that was done one month after I purchased the vehichle, I have more than enough pictures and proof to hire attorneys and if this isn't resolve I will have no choice but to proceed with further action. If the engine goes out, I will have to pay for a car that does not drive and will have to pay for damages myself, this dealership is not truthful with the vehichles sold on their lot and you may have similar issues Dealerships have a legal obligation to disclose certain information about the vehichles they sell (such as damages like engine sludge), this dealership did not own that commitment After 11 months this dealership has still yet to give me the paperwork from when I bought the vehichle, even after several attempts to retrieve this information the dealership is being extremely difficult and unprofessional. I have screenshots, pictures, and call logs to back all information given in this review

    I was looking for another reliable vehicle and decided to purchase a 2018 pilot ex-L. We had a trade in and got the best price for it, which made the notes very affordable. Nohea and his manager were very conscientious about getting me something I was happy with, and the team prepared an affordable plan along with daily updates on the progress of the sale. Kind, friendly, and stuck to their word on all matters of the sale. Overall, a wonderful experience, especially when buying a vehicle can be so stressful.     I have been coming to this Acura since I moved here in 2020 and I have never been disappointed! Fast, honest, and reliable service always. I have worked with a couple of service advisors but my absolute favorite is Andy. His customer service is like none other. He is extremely responsive when scheduling an appt and while having my car serviced. He is very kind and respectful, doing all he can to make your experience comfortable while you wait and over the best customer service I have ever received anywhere. I highly recommend him when scheduling service for your vehicle.

    Brake fluid level

    I bought my car here because I saw good reviews but I had a bad experience. I bought an SUV on 08/03/25 for my wife because the one we had broke down and I bought a 2019 Chevy Tahoe and three days later the transmission broke and on top of that they made me buy the car warranty they offer for 5k thousand dollars and they didn't change the oil the truck is missing brake fluid and also water in the radiator very bad service with the mechanics and even I took it to the dealership but the managers treat me very badly and hang up on me very rudely every time I talk on the phone as of today 08/04/25 I don't know nothing about the truck and they don't want to cancel my loan with Santander they don't call me or give any information for the truck for a month and still the dealership has the truck I have had to buy an emergency used one for my wife It is not possible that such big dealers can do this

    Avoid these guys at all cost, First they say they don't haggle when I ask for a small $400 discount on a 2014 $15,400 Mazda 3 with 80,000 miles that would normally sell for under 10,000 outside the current market, then the manager calls me saying he would do the $400 off if I do the deal but that he wants me to use their financing if possible to help them out, even though I have my own low interest loan ready. Before I submit the credit app, I do the wise thing and ask for a detailed OTD invoice, when I get the invoice there is another $1000 worth of useless crap they conveniently forgot to mention which no 10 year old car with 80k miles needs, like $600 for ceramic coating, $148 for Nitrogen, another $252 for illegal window tint (and how strange they all add up to $1000 exactly), after a day over the phone, and additional haggling (bear in mind I am in Austin and doing this deal remote because of a broken down vehicle) , I receive a final invoice after all the garbage they decided to add and do the credit app at a slight discount. Couple hours later their finance manager calls telling me that my application is in pre-approval status but that they need me in person for "compliance reasons", I had specifically mentioned I would only make the trip all the way to Sugarland if everything was sorted out remote and the deal was completed, and I was very specific about that prior to submitting the credit app, I mention how I had never heard of such a requirement to not be able to get a credit confirmation remote with all the documents provided and his response "they're not the type of low end dealer I'm used to and have to follow protocol". I suspected there was additional surprises ahead and told him there was no way I would make the trip if I do not have a firm final confirmation from their bank, at this point they gave up and was able to give the accurate information. They wanted to drag me all the way from Austin to Houston on a work day, and leverage me into an unheard of 19% interest rate or they would not do the deal, these guys are crooks and deserve a 0 star rating, do not do a deal with these people, they will quickly remember customer service once the current bubble bursts with rising interest rates.     Website advertised an amazing deal, I emailed, got a "guaranteed price" email, and received a phone call from Utah. I asked if the price was accurate and the person could give no information. I received another call about an hour later and was informed the price may be about two hundred higher than quoted. I again asked if this was accurate, and stated I would go directly to the dealership if it was. I was placed on hold, then told the price was incorrect, and I would not be getting the "guaranteed price" after all.

    i took my camry in and it is a japa made so i took it in for a transaxel flud drain and refill and…read moretold them which fluid and that you must use crush washers when you reinstall the drain plug and the refill plug with crush washers to prevent leaks and as i got home i found a few drops of fluid allreadydropped on clean concret as sure enough it will leak because the washers theyused were not rigt and i insisted but theymade o effort to get right washers even though i gave them parts number from toyota and they said this is what i have to use and tey put on washers thatwill not seal the correctwas as i need the aluminum crushale to fit the texture of the aluninum housing so it wont leak. im going tomorrow to see terry salamat and if they wont correct prolem i will hire an attorey. i had a previous problem with themi last year.i had a clock spring on my nissa rogue not put on right-i went back and they tampered with it so i accepted and left. now im afraid thatthey didnt even change the fluid maybe checked it and put plugs in using same washers tom said. i was charged over 70 dollars for a gallon of supposedly dexron 111 fluid even though i needed on 2 quarts. also labor brough bill to a little over 163 dollars plus the worry now as i have to have it fixed correctly. i hope people will stop using this place as they are money hungry and dont do correct job. i cant take foto as im old and my cell phone is a flip phone-no camera als repairo i told tom i dont have money to waste as im 78 years old on soc security and need car worked on right. he said old car always has leaks but tis had o new leak until today ad leak was clear oil not black or brown fluid-i just hope something can be done to people like this. i even did all the leg work on computer getting info on my car etc and fluid it hasto have and all about the transaxel and model number. idid all i can do and want them to refund my money so i can get it fixed right at toyota dealer

Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!
