I would not do business with them- you can read more below. I walked out of Brookshire Hyundai never to return and here's why. I came to BH looking for a particular vehicle to test drive. The first salesperson that approached me offered a test drive. Before beginning, I asked some basic questions that I had already researched: What are common problems? What are the biggest likes or dislikes? His response was that he had only been there a week and went to get a more seasoned salesperson. Fine- no problem. Salesperson 2 (4 weeks experience) gets in and I ask some similar questions. Didn't receive a substantive response so I test drove it. Upon returning, I asked about incentives. I was told $3k customer cash. I asked about the dealer add-ons and was given an answer that indicated the add-ons included an extended warranty. I left and went back to search some more and found the exact model I wanted at another local dealer. I returned the next day and showed the salesperson the exact model, its location, and said secure it and call me back. I received a call about an hour later from a third salesperson who told me they could order it directly from Hyundai and receive it within a week. I was skeptical but he insisted it would be a quick turnaround so let's talk numbers. I went back into the dealer a couple hours later where upon arrival they asked for my car keys to inspect my proposed trade-in and met with salesperson 2 and 3. Upon arrival we sat down, and it was then that they both indicated that ordering from Hyundai would take a little longer than expected. It would be 4-6 weeks now. I was okay with that and asked if incentives would be honored. They said yes. They left and returned shortly after and asked if I would be okay with a new vehicle with a couple hundred miles on it because ordering from Hyundai would be 6-8 weeks and there was vehicle about 200 miles away (not the one I had shown them that was about 30 miles away). I made the mistake of saying why wouldn't I just go get it from that dealer so that I could drive it myself instead. They left once more and returned and said the Hyundai order would be 4-6 months, but they found a vehicle that was about 350 miles away. It was then when they showed me the first numbers and I asked where the incentives were. I was told I wanted financing and I responded I wanted customer cash of $3k. Salesperson 3 said there's no $3k. Suddenly salesperson 2 responds that it was for a different model. Then I asked about the extended warranty and was told that there was no warranty. I asked about the add-ons and was told it was a maintenance package, etc. for $4k. At this point I knew something was off, but I wanted to finish the process and see what kind of deal would be offered in the end. That was a mistake. I was shuffled into an office as I was clearly agitated over being lied to about the incentives, extended warranty, and the complete bait and switch on ordering from Hyundai. I discussed the problems with salesperson 3 and he kept insisting that I give up other dealer's pricing. I said I wanted to know what they could do and gave a round number for the monthly payment (I had already run numbers so I knew exactly what it would take). He persisted and I agreed to a finance application to keep the conversation going. He came back with a number that was within my budget, but I had not seen any specs on the vehicle they were sourcing or anything else but a number on the back of an envelope. It had been nearly 2.5 hours since I arrived and salesperson 3 had to leave so salesperson 2 returned to "close the deal." I asked for my keys to be returned and the salesperson left. He returned with some high-level numbers which I objected to receiving since they had no details and the vehicle still was not specified to me. I asked for my keys a second time. The salesperson left and returned with more pages but no keys. I said I needed to leave. I had been there 3 hours, and we were not closing a deal that day. He asked for ten more minutes, and I refused saying I needed to leave. He asked if I would talk to the sales manager and I refused once more. He left and I shouted no to him as he walked out the office door. I left the office but still did not have my keys. The sales manager approached and asked how I was doing. I told him, "Not good" and he asked why. I preceded to begin the tale this review is documenting and realized they had delayed me once more. As I recounted the major lies and deceptions precipitated on me that day, he interrupted me not once but twice. On the second interruption to justify his salespeople lying, I told him, "Don't speak." However, if you're considering purchasing a Hyundai, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before buying from the Hyundai dealership in Brookshire, TX (near West Katy). I'm sharing this based on my own experience as well as the experience of someone I personally know. A friend of mine traded in a vehicle, but the trade-in value they were originally offered was later changed. I was also told that after a dealership employee picked up the trade-in vehicle, it stalled on the way, and instead of handling the situation properly, the employee left the vehicle in another property's parking lot and walked away. In my own case, although the amount isn't large, I still have not been reimbursed for items I supplied at the dealership's request on May 1. I intend to pursue the matter through the appropriate channels, but I have been very disappointed that it remains unresolved after all this time. I understand that not every customer will have the same experience. However, based on what I have personally experienced and what I have seen happen to others, I believe there is a risk of running into unexpected problems after the sale. We like the car, if you need to go to Brookshire Hyundai, make sure you have everything written down, annotate all agreements (their signature and yours) and then triple check your car when you pick it up. If you sign a price, to Brookshire, it is a promise to buy at that price. We financed, cost of the car is was lower than the expected price. We asked why and the Brookshire finance officer could not tell us why, "the computer tells the price". On July 30th 5:29p.m., we (my elderly father and I) negotiated a fair price on a specific vehicle via email (red, 2026 Santa Fe hybrid with tow package (VIN # was in the email). On 7/30, 6:49 pm. I informed them we could be there the following morning for the vehicle. On 7/31 8:22 a.m., I emailed saying we will be there by 10:30 a.m. to complete the paperwork for the vehicle, and that since my elderly father tires out quickly, we can't sit around and wait - especially after the almost 2 hour drive to get there. At 8:25 a.m. they emailed back with the contact person, and at 9:25 a.m. they sent an email to say they will have the vehicle waiting for us. At 10:04 a.m., they call to say they do not have the car, but if I want a different color, they will honor the price. First, I don't want a different color. Second, the red is $500 more than the other colors - why would I want to pay the same price for a car that costs $500 less. Third, why wouldn't they know this the night before or even that morning before we started driving there - especially since they knew we were driving almost 2 hours, and my elderly father tires out very quickly. Fourth, we would then need to negotiate a different price and go through the games sales people and sales managers play at car lots (what I was trying to avoid for my dad's sake). I don't completely blame the salesperson, I mostly blame the sales manager - the sales manager should know what vehicles are available and not allow a commitment to be made. Even so, the salesperson got very defensive instead of just owning up to the situation and kept repeating his offer to honor the same price (i.e., sell me a cheaper car for the same price). At one point, he even said, "you should have put a down payment on the car" (not at option given to us). My poor dad was exhausted after the drive, and we were both frustrated with the very poor customer commitment. I would not trust Brookshire Hyundai to offer any commitment via email. The service team is friendly, but appointments are pointless--expect at least 90 minutes for a simple oil change, despite a nice waiting area. I have also done surveys online and telephone about the management and staff and it seems to get worse over the last two years. Issue lies with management as staff seem to want to do right but seem driven by fear of management. Now to a current sales process. Ugh! Painful. I found a Palisade online, filled out the form, and got a call from someone barely intelligible, so I hung up. Two days later, a clearer voice convinced me to visit. There must be new management because this time things were different after I bought the car. Did not receive a second key but was told I would be getting one when I picked up my license plates. Before my service appointment, they explained the process and even provided a loaner vehicle, as the repair required a few days. I purchased my car from the dealership back in September of 2022. I never received my second key fob till this day. It's now been almost a year and every time I go in to try to get it they tell me they're going to have to order it and call me once it comes in, but I still have not received a call since I last brought my car a few weeks ago, it's like pulling teeth trying to get this 2nd fob. I complained about it when I went in and I was told by the advisor that they would personally reach out to me. This is without a doubt the worst dealership I've ever been to. They assisted with some repairs but lining up a loaner was a bit frustrating after a few weeks. Vehicle was not repaired after 3 visits to the location even being told that it was fixed. This took 2 months to get this somewhat correct. The icing on the cake is the fact the body paint of the vehicle was damaged during their care. It is obvious and even with the before and after photos to show proof they do not take responsibility. The GM tried to argue and buck up to me to instigate further confrontation. I cannot believe any business would work like this. I was basically told it is what it is and tough luck. Living in the Texas Hill Country, the closest Hyundai dealership was located in San Antonio, but the dealerships there didn't have any Palisade's available. I began calling dealerships throughout the state. I called all dealerships that had or were about to receive the Palisade I wanted in the correct color and trim level. I spoke to sales people at dealerships in Austin, Kileen, Fort Worth, Dallas and Austin. Their price markup at these dealerships was either way too high, or they just flat out refused to negotiate over the phone. They told me to drive to their dealership. After explaining that I lived 3- 5 hours away and it didn't make sense for me to drive across the state only to determine I couldn't make a deal with them, but they didn't care and wouldn't negotiate over the phone, period. Finally, I called Brookshire Hyundai, and I started dealing with Caleb Morris. I quickly determined that they were soon receiving a Palisade model that I liked, and started negotiating via text message. Caleb knew I lived out of town, but there were no demands for me to visit their dealership to make a deal. Within a short time, we came to an agreed upon price, and I paid an online deposit. The vehicle arrived at the dealership before the end of the month and they offered to deliver it to my house almost 200 miles away. I guess they needed to get it off their books. Anyhow, I took free delivery at my home, and the transaction took no longer than signing my name on 10 pages. Yesterday, I received a care package in the mail from Brookshire Hyundai as a token of their appreciation for my business. If I'm ever in the market for another Hyundai, Brookshire will be my first choice. DANGER! If I could buy a -0 star from yelp I would! First, during the test drive Blake the sales rep negatively spoke about another customer to my husband and and I. Secondly, he tried to steer us into driving ONLY around the corner? I insisted we drive on the freeway, how else can anyone gauge the highway ability of a vehicle. Where I discovered the brakes are weak. He ignored me. Thirdly, he wasted a great deal of time distracting and "priming" us. As he hovered over my husband filling out the application behaving antsy, I requested he allow him to fill it out and once completed we will call for him. He obliged. Next, poor case of "bait and switch." He became combative when I pointed out the offer price was substantially higher than the online advertised price. He spoke to us in a curt, accusatory and condescending manner. He continued to over talk and back talk us. Requiring me to redirect and correct him more than once. Soon he recognized he's not engaging common pedestrians rather well educated consumers. He yielded and accepted we were correct and quickly changed his "attitude." After an exchange of back and forth, Blake finally became truthful of the fraudulent charge for $495 manufacturers window tint?! The tint was not an option, the customer should not be forced to pay for an optional product. Dealerships don't charge for tint BEFORE a sale. Either is basic or optional. Again, we weren't offered the option. Fraud. Next, we were led to finance. The finance rep was disgracefully deplorable. He began with the pseudo "used car" spiel. Second red flag! Then he "extensively" sprayed Lysol cleaner on his desk causing it to aerate and land on us?! He had ample opportunity to spray BEFORE we entered his office. This action was either covert bias or overt bigotry. Either way it was not only disturbing but highly dangerous to our health. I recently underwent extensive endoscopic surgery. Leaving me vulnerable to caustic chemicals. And recovering from an upper respiratory infection. Within moments of him spraying my sinus became extremely irritated and painful. I excused myself and went to my vehicle. I blew my nose to attempt to cleanse the chemicals from my nose, it began to bleed. Leaving me in horrible pain. I was beyond livid!! After my husband accepted the offer we drove off, under the impression Blake fulfilled his job. Once we arrived home, 15 miles away, we discovered Blake failed to attach the the temporary license plate? Jeopardizing us with law enforcement. We returned requiring another unnecessary drive of 15 miles to retrieve it. Additionally, within near range I overheard Blake question the credit score and other highly confidential information of another customer! The customer was not white. The final straw, he made reference to us giving him a "stellar" review because he filled the truck with gas?! Overall, it was by far the most disturbing, unprofessional, maltreatment on all fronts I've ever experienced. Numerous calls and voicemails have not been returned. It's not a large sum of money but just the fact that I will never be able to use it I feel I should be entitled to a refund. Brookshire Hyundai Review Brookshire Hyundai's service department is awesome! I highly recommend that you use them for all your maintenance needs. Although they are pretty far away for some of us in the Houston area (50 minutes and $8 in tolls for me), it's well worth it! Here's my personal experience with them: I purchased my 2024 Palisade Calligraphy from another Houston-area dealer in December of 2023. I won't mention their name, but they are on the North side of town and next to a Freeway. I really wanted an integrated trailer hitch - not the ugly, non-integrated, one shown on Hyundai's website at that time (it has since disappeared and there are no trailer hitch options currently offered as of April 25, 2024). Since the Parts department at my original dealer couldn't find the integrated hitch on their own, I searched the Palisade Forum and found just what I was looking for - including the relevant part numbers. Interestingly, the parts guy at Brookshire Hyundai ("Phuong") was able to find the integrated hitch with no problem (go figure...). Not only was Phuong very friendly, he was also competent - a major contrast to the Parts department at the other dealer. Anyway, once I provided the part numbers to the Parts department at the original dealer, they were able to order the hitch. It was installed in late January of 2024 but, unfortunately, was not installed properly. Sadly, no matter who I talked to within the dealership's management (service manager, Fixed Operations Director, plus the dealership owner), they showed no interest in correcting the problem - or even in making an attempt to satisfy a customer who had just purchased a car from them! Based on my experience, I looked on Yelp and found a review by "Ezra" who'd had an almost identical experience with the same dealer. After being unable to get them to correct his problem, Ezra went to Brookshire Hyundai, and they took care of him. After reading Ezra's review, I decided to give Brookshire Hyundai a try. I arrived at their dealership on a Saturday afternoon about 30 minutes before their service department was scheduled to close and explained my problem to the service writer ("Jason"). Jason was extremely friendly and very eager to help. With no prompting from me, he got down on the ground and crawled under my car to see if he could figure out why my hitch wasn't installed properly (contrast this with the service manager at the other dealer who couldn't be bothered to even look at the problem in person). Jason then asked me if I would mind if their mechanic looked at it. Obviously, I didn't mind and was actually very happy - and surprised - that he offered, especially given how close to closing time it was. Jason then pulled my car into their shop. When the mechanic ("Dovydas") appeared, I offered to buy him and Jason dinner, but they both refused. The contrast between my experience at Brookshire Hyundai and the other dealer was like night and day. I will be forever grateful to the people at Brookshire for taking care of my problem, especially given the level of frustration I experienced at the other dealer. Even if they had wanted to charge me for the work they did, I wouldn't have minded. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is outstanding and I plan to have them do all of my regular maintenance and any service I may need in the future. I hope you will, too. Stay away from this dealership and service department! My wife and I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy AWD CPO in December 2023. Immediately after taking it home, we noticed a humming sound from the engine area. I took it into Brookshire Hyundai on 3 separate occasions where the service individual assigned and the repair tech were able to replicate the noise and hear it when I was in the car. Despite all of this, I was told the noise was normal and within normal vehicle operations. On one of the occasions, my tires and wheels were rotated and balanced. I was told specifically that if I continued to hear the noise, to replace my tires. I continued to hear the noise with no indication of a fix, and I replaced my tires at Discount Tire. At the 3rd and final appointment, after spending hundreds of dollars on Lyft and rental vehicles for the dealer to assess the vehicle over a number of days (no loaners offered), I was told nothing is wrong with it and to get a second opinion. I then went to Texan Hyundai in Rosenberg, and within a short period of time, they diagnosed the issue as a problem with the transfer case and further stated the rear struts and absorbers also needed to be replaced. All of this was accomplished within a few days. I am supremely disappointed that the service department missed these obvious problems and despite 3 multi-point inspections in the span of a few weeks, did not observe that the struts and observers needed to be replaced. A complaint has been filed with Hyundai USA, and they will be replacing the lost money from the Lyft and rental fees, however; I am still out approximately $1100 from new tires that I certainly did not need and that I purchased based on faulty advice from their service department. This has been a nightmare to deal with, and the request for a tire refund was promptly denied, even though it was THEIR recommendation. read more

Worst car buying experience - No Endorsement for Brookshire Hyundai Please forgive this long rant that but I feel our circumstance needs sharing. I understand that since the pandemic has started our world has changed. Some for the better and others not so much. We needed to replace Tom, my brother in law's car and began the process in June of researching and planning. In July we reached out opening a line of communication with Brookshire Hyundai solely because their website and salesperson said they in fact had two available cars on their lot like we wanted. First deception. Tom arrives onsite to see vehicle which of course is not available, but they have one coming in a month's time. Like most dealerships they will require a deposit of $1000 to hold our spot on the next arrival. This we do not feel is unreasonable and we agreed to do it. However here is where everything begins to go south. I very specifically stated over the phone as I was, 4 hours away that I do not accept the terms of their financial arrangement. That when the car arrives, we will discuss a more realistic and fair financial plan to both the dealer and to us. Second part of and the complete failure to communicate. We arrive to the dealership to pickup said new car where I'll say we were financially raped both on the purchase price of the vehicle and in the finance dept, because a vehicle that has an MSRP of $30,500 roughly a sale price of a hair under $40,000 is NOT reasonable or fair. Especially to a senior on a fixed income. We were also told that if we backed out of the deal the $1000 deposit was non-refundable. Oh, and the finance dept wanted to charge us on top of that another $4200 for gap insurance and extended warranty! Third.......... Delivery time begins with salesman demonstrating the cars remote start so you can cool the vehicle in advance. We get into the car and discover that the cars AC system will only work when you are driving at speed. So if you stop at a redlight or in stop and go traffic you get hot Texas air. I stated multiple times to the salesman that we need to bring the car to the service dept. He insisted it's a normal feature to the Hybrid. The car came home with us broken. A 2023 Hyundai Elantra HEV Limited. Only redeeming aspect to entire purchase. The next morning in insist Tom take the car back to the dealership service dept. They did a wonderful and thorough job diagnosing and explaining the fault. However, the part is in Atlanta, GA and will take 6 days to get the part here. Way to NOT Deliver a New Car to a customer Brookshire Hyundai! One more detail. Multiple staff persons stated, they did not care if that lost me as a customer for any future purchases! read more

I made an appointment last Saturday for my cars tuneup today. Mr.Greg Evans came to my car when I arrived at the service center and after checking me in, Mr.Evans made me welcome to their free Coffee/Water/and chips while I waited. Mr.Evans made sure to keep me updated twice on the time their technicians would be finished. After they finished Mr.Evans went over the paperwork which was all exceptionally professional and helpful to me. Let me start by saying - the Service Dept is great, the Sales Dept not so much. I have tried working with them 4 times and 3/4 instances have been HORRIBLE. They lack professionalism, follow-up skills and are just there. I wanted to buy a 2023 Santa Fe and asked about upcoming cars that were coming in and had one picked out - no call to let me know. Now, today I wanted to possibly sign up/gather info on 2024 Santa Fe and nothing....is that all you want? Offer dealership ms are taking your contact info and here...is that all you want! I will continue to bring my car for service but I will NOT buy here.
