He set us on the right path immediately. Seth and his crew were in our house within 48 hours to do the mitigation and boy were they thorough. The floor was pulled up, the room was disinfected and dried. And all the while, Daryl and Seth made sure that we had the documentation and backup necessary to communicate with our homeowners insurance company. With the mitigation done, the crew came back a few weeks later to actually do the repairs and get our floors back to the condition they were in before. This was equally impressive. The workmanship was truly beautiful. Seth has a great eye for design and color. Everything matches and looks beautiful. Here is what this company put me through to arrive at the same outcome we could have reached a year earlier: I signed a contract in October 2024 with a completion date of November 15, 2024. They took my deposit immediately and then disappeared. For months I had no functioning bathroom and received zero communication from SERVPRO despite my repeated attempts to reach them. They never told me their project manager had died and simply let my project collect dust while I waited. Months of silence. No reassignment. No accountability. Nothing. When they finally showed up, the tile work was so bad it had to be torn out and redone multiple times. We are talking about a professional restoration company that could not install basic tile correctly on the first attempt, or the second. The photographic evidence of their workmanship is genuinely embarrassing. When I raised these issues and pushed back on the final invoice, which arrived six months after the contracted completion date and included charges I was never invoiced for during the project, they responded by threatening me with attorney fees, late fees, and legal action. Then they actually followed through and filed suit against me in court, represented by an attorney, apparently convinced they could bully me into paying in full for a job they delivered five months late and half wrong. They were wrong. I filed complaints with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General and the Maryland Home Improvement Commission, prepared a full defense, and was ready to walk into that courtroom. Case No. D-01-CV-26-019615, District Court of Maryland for Baltimore City. Look it up. They dismissed the case and settled for the $2,000 I had been offering them for over a year. The same number I put on the table long before lawyers, court filings, and months of stress were ever involved. They chose every single one of those steps rather than simply do the right thing. This company will take your money, vanish, deliver substandard work, blame you for their failures, threaten you with litigation, and ultimately fold the moment you stand your ground. The only reason to hire SERVPRO of Howard County is if you enjoy fighting for basic accountability from people you are paying to do a job. There are honest, professional contractors in Baltimore. The quote had reasonable payment terms and was the best price out of the five quotes we had from different contractors. Once hired, Alex came over and removed everything from the existing bathroom and went over the work that needed to be done. He also provided some suggestions on how to improve the bathroom so that it would not fall into a state of disrepair again. He provided a list of options for us to choose, and once we finalized the design, he went right to work. It took just over three weeks, but Alex was highly organized, detailed, focused, and transparent with everything he doing. fast, efficient, professional. removed asbestos tile from entire lower floor of an older house…read more (kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, utility room). price was on the lower end of the estimates we got, but we chose them because of their prompt replies and experience in asbestos removal. we emptied had emptied out the house and were really ready to get the ball rolling and they squeezed us in within a week, and their crew took two days to complete the job. they were the second company to book an in-person visit and get us a written estimate, plus they were very responsive to calls and emails. seemed an excellent value for an experienced crew. they sealed area off with plastic and negative air pressure, and used a wet method to remove the tile (thereby avoiding dust). after tile removal, they sealed the concrete subfloor with to trap the remaining mastic residue that was stuck on the concrete. the sealant was almost like a rubbery latex paint (we later installed a vapor barrier and vinyl plank to finish the floor). afterwards there was a strong smell of the sovent and the sealant they used and it took several days of airing out for this to mellow. it smelled like pine or turpentine. no damage, but there were quite a few staples left in the wall from when they installed the plastic barriers-- very inconsequential and easy to remove. we had planned for repainting the walls anyway. realistically one of the best experiences with a big job using a contractor like this!

They then offered it to me not once but twice more, after I had declined. I didn't appreciate the repeated high-pressure sales pitch. - Without telling me, they unplugged some of my Verizon equipment and did not plug it back in when they were done. I needlessly spent an hour on the phone with Verizon trying to figure out why my wireless and cable service did not work. I would hesitate to use them again. Update: Yosef, the owner, did call to apologize for the above mentioned issues and provided a partial refund, which was appreciated.
