My husband and I have been to the Grumps location in Crofton several times and have always been pleased. So, when we were in the Annapolis area and wanted to go to breakfast, we figured we would try their Annapolis location. We arrived just as they opened and we were treated immediately. The hostess gave us menus and explained we would be ordering at the register and then the food would be brought to us. This was something we were already aware of since they do the same in Crofton. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy and I ordered the banana chocolate chip pancakes. Both of us found our food to be good. The coffee is also very good! My main feedback is that the restaurant became very loud very quickly. I don't know if it's just because of the layout and shape of the restaurant, but we found it very difficult to have a conversation despite the restaurant not even being very crowded. It made the meal a little less enjoyable. Again, the food and service was absolutely fine. However, if you're looking for a place to be able to enjoy a slightly more quiet environment and actually be able to hear the person you're with, you might want to go somewhere else.

This is my favorite diner in Annapolis. Food is excellent cheap and well portioned. It definitely feels like home in here.

This fun quirky restaurant is just my style. I was staying at a nearby cabin for the weekend, and the owners recommended it Perfect for breakfast with a warm and friendly staff. I highly recommend the pancakes they even offer smaller sized portions of everything! It is important to know that this is a counter seating restaurant (no table service). The unique seating and ordering system may throw off some people, but I actually really enjoyed it. Coffee is help yourself so you can pick your own mug and your own flavor of coffee. Impressed me most was the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. When the couple behind me left the restaurant, it took less than 30 seconds for the crew to clear their table and clean it for the next patron. This is definitely my new local favorite

A friend and I stopped by Grump's on the recommendation of a local antique vendor. Excellent call! We were seated right away in a booth, and were instructed to order at the register. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Omelet and my friend got the Banana Grumpster (banana French toast). I heard my friend moaning over her food and had to get a bite. I don't know what they put in the sauce but it is so good-like tasting your lover's kiss as you drive away. Not gonna lie, that dish is one for the books! Don't miss a trip to Grump's!

Excellent burger, we ordered the "All Jacked Up" burger and it was one of the best we've ever tasted. It was 2 pm and we just wanted a snack so my husband and I shared and the split it up in 2 plates for us. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp tasting, a must try if you're a fan. It was quite packed for mid afternoon so that says much about the restaurant. Love the 80s/90s vibe!

I usually go to Grump's in Crofton, which is always good. Annapolis Grump's has been going down in quality for a while. Today they broke my back. I ordered a cheddar bacon cheeseburger well done with onion rings to go. Got home cut the burger in half and it was bleeding. I forgave the over cook onion rings but a bleeding burger is not good. Some of the wait staff looks like they just rolled out of bed, one was smacking chewing gum. When I called to complain, they act like I should not have and be happy with what they gave me. They act like I was attempting to scam them. Took the bleeding burger and over cook onion rings back, no apologies and the attitude was how dare you return bad food. Health Department will be getting my complaint along with pictures of the bleeding burger. If you want Grump's food go to Crofton.

This was a cute little diner type place near Quiet Waters Park. After a morning of kayaking we came here and enjoyed a breakfast outside. Orange crushes and coffee for drinks and benefit ya and omelettes for breakfast were all delicious. You order your food at a cashier and then give them your table number and they bring the food to you. The tables all have their own toy with a number on them. Wry cute idea for table numbers.

This is my favorite spot in Annapolis. The breakfast is very good with very fair prices. The staff is always very friendly and get you seated pretty quick. Fun table numbers and coffee mugs make this place a fun little place. I usually get the Bubba, but went with an omelette this time and wasn't disappointed.

This particular morning, they were offering a breakfast burger special: smash patty with bacon, egg, cheese, onions, jalapeños, and cilantro lime sauce. Their regular menu sells two different burgers: The Classic Double (lettuce, tomato, burger sauce) and The Retro Double (pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard). I opted for the retro double. The burger was good. It had a nice crust on the outside. There was enough ketchup and mustard on the burger to taste, but not so much that it's dripping off the sides when you bite into it. The fries were good. I wish they offered a bigger cup of them since they're almost $4. Burgers are $9.79, fries are $3.95, and drinks are $2.00. They also have merchandise like t-shirts, hats, and hoodies for sale. The employee that took my order was really friendly. I hope they make a return to the Crofton Farmer's market! I would definitely get burgers from them again.

I've never had a long wait, either to order or for the food to come out, which is always appreciated. The staff has been consistently friendly, and the space itself is clean and well kept. High-top tables, good lighting, moderate noise level--everything feels in order whenever I'm there. Food-wise, Regional keeps things simple, and that's what I like about it. The Cubano sticks to the script and does it right. You really can't lose with it--good flavor, balanced, and just a solid sandwich overall. The smashburger is another no-frills win. Fresh beef, fresh ingredients, and everything complements each other without trying too hard. It's just done right. The cheesesteak isn't something I'd call a true Philly, but in a pinch it definitely holds you down. The meat is seasoned well, with onions, mushrooms, and cheese coming together for an enjoyable sandwich. I appreciate that Regional doesn't overcomplicate things. My only real critique was the roasted potato salad. I paid $3 for a cup, and while it tasted good, there was lettuce stuffed at the bottom to make it look fuller than it was. That rubbed me the wrong way, so I wouldn't order it again. Portion sizes overall are fair, prices feel reasonable, and I like that there's something for everyone on the menu. I've already been back multiple times and will continue to return. It's a good spot when you want to get away from all the fast-food options in the area.

The ribeye steak was fantastic and the sauce complimented it really well. For drinks we had the rum and gin. The gin drink was fruity and my favorite out of the two. The desserts I would give probably 3-ish stars. We had the almond cake and it didn't have much of a taste and the whip cream that came on the side must have been accidentally mixed with something that had processed onions because it had a really strong onion aftertaste. We did also order the Coconut Panna Cotta for dessert. The raspberry was pretty prominent here and wasn't as custard like as expected, just a little too soft but the flavor otherwise wasn't bad. They are definitely lighter on the sauce, so if that's your preference these are perfect. Personally, I like my wings a little saucier, so I would probably ask for extra sauce next time. The chicken itself was fried perfectly and the portion size was pretty solid. For my main, I got the buffalo chicken wrap with no buffalo sauce and it was amazing. The lettuce, guac, and pico all tasted fresh and paired really nicely with the breaded chicken in the wrap. My only complaint with it is they go pretty light on the guac and pico, so I wish there was a bit more of both. The pricing overall was fair too and didn't feel over the top for the quality and portions. The fries that came with the wrap deserve their own mention because they were phenomenal. Crispy golden brown on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Honestly, I'd come back just for the fries alone. I requested outdoor seating when making the reservation and they have a really nice outdoor section with a great atmosphere and view. They did a good job with the space they had, but the tables are pretty close together, so you can hear basically every conversation around you. The chairs were also a bit smaller and not the most comfortable for longer seating. Service was great all around. Our server was very polite and even helped my very undecided sister choose her meal. Everyone was friendly and it definitely feels like a nice place to bring friends or family. My only real complaint, and honestly this applies to a lot of places nearby, is the parking. It was pretty rough. Other than that, definitely a place I'd come back to.
