(One of my previous dentists had been a line backer in college.. BIG hands.) A couple years earlier I'd gone to a dental patient mill in Plaza Americas. They did a terrible job with a root canal, taking over 5 hours. Their crowns had huge spaces to the gums which constantly snagged fiberous food. Dr Christina made new crowns which are perfect, easy to clean and look totally natural... and for a small fraction of the US price. My US dentist takes 2 weeks to get crowns made..Dr Christina can have them in a day or 2. I recommended her to a female friend in the US. My friend now loves her new look and it has changed her life. This place does quality work, quickly and for a very reasonable price. Her office is easy to find and in a good part of town. It is right across the street from the Gran Plaza mall on Ave Nichupte. From the Hotel Zone you can take the R2-27 bus for 10.5 pesos. Or, take the R44 bus from Plaza Americas for 8 pesos.

The staff is extremely caring, everything is efficient and Carlos, the clinic manager takes care of everything with a smile! Dr. Nora Contreras was my doctor, she is a calm, kind perfectionist. My wife was with Dr. Roberto Sanchez, he worked fast with perfect results, he also sings a little while he works. If you have expensive dental work to do, this is by far the best clinic in Mexico and you cannot beat their prices.

This was a terrible experience...I booked an appointment through my hotel at the Hilton. We were…read moregiven the wrong address...I was late for the appt but made it eventually...I don't speak Spanish so had to ask several other dentists close to Mega store where this was exactly... Then I show up and the Dentist, Perla Roche, who speaks good English...did not show up for the appointment, did not call but instead had a newer young male Dentist cover for her...who did not speak English (nor did the assistant)... and proceeded to clean my teeth, roughly for 10 minutes, no inspection, no flossing...and painful. Not adequate! I was promised digital dental xrays and this office was over priced to begin with...but they do not have the machine and did not include it in the price. The xray clinic was almost closed by the time I finished talking to Dr. Roche...at first she told the assistant she was not available. I persisted and she finally came on the phone. She offered to have the new dentist redo my cleaning and I refused! She then said she would not charge me. I left ...much delayed and disappointed and painful gums. The next day this dentist, calls my hotel to complain I that I left without paying...she told me directly I would not be charged. I do not recommend this business. Also, my time here is limited, I will not be able to get the xrays I was promised nor the proper cleaning. Shame on you Dr. Perla Roche...terrible service

I cannot recommend Dental Spa in Playa del Carmen highly enough…read more Over the past two weeks, Dr. Victor and his outstanding team have provided me with exceptional dental care, including fillings, a root canal, periodontal treatment, and preparation for porcelain veneers. What impressed me most was Dr. Victor's conservative approach. As my gums responded better than expected, he adjusted my treatment plan to be less invasive. Rather than simply following the original plan, he based his decisions on how I was actually healing. That gave me tremendous confidence that he always put my best interests first. The entire staff has been professional, friendly, patient, and genuinely caring. Every question I had was answered thoroughly, and I never felt rushed. When one of my temporary veneers accidentally came off while I was still adjusting to them, Dr. Victor personally made time to see me the very same day before my flight back to the United States. That level of dedication and customer service is rare and meant a great deal to me. Although I'll be returning soon to receive my permanent veneers, my experience so far has exceeded my expectations. Total extraction and implant (x4) = 25,825 pesos or ~$1,500 usd EACH Resin Filling for cavities (×7) = 1,780 pesos or ~$99 usd EACH Numbing for procedure = 1,000 pesos or ~$55 usd This location is ONLY certified to do cleanings, surface fillings and teeth whitening. ALL other dental work is outsourced to someone else (even xrays have to be done elsewhere). This is basically a sales office and tooth whitening clinic for tourists. We did get take their advice and get the 3D xrays FROM ANOTHER VENDOR; this place can only do small segment xrays (1 tooth at a time). 3D xrays from a different vendor are CASH ONLY and full 3D (top and bottom) = 1,600 pesos (~$90 usd). You get the xrays on a cd and can take it anywhere in the world *thumbs up* After getting a 2nd opinion from another well-known local dentist... They went over the 3D xrays tooth by tooth with us and found NOT 7 cavities, just 2. We found NOT 4 extractions + 4 implants; instead: 1 extraction, 1 crown replacement (cosmetic) and 2 root canal/crowns TOTAL. It's not a good sign when you hear that a place is NOT even certified to do all the work of a dentist, but instead call themselves a "dental spa". This place is is good for a chipped tooth and tooth whitening while in vacation (no wait), but you will be paying prices like home.
