He fixed everything, with the most professional style, and fair price. I should add that Dr Alex is quite the perfectionist. The first crown that came from the dental lab did not suit him and he found a lab he liked better and got a better quality crown. Although I did have to return to Playa del Carmen a second time, it was well worth it, considering the high quality, affordability and above all, personal attention at Dental Balance. This was a terrible experience...I booked an appointment through my hotel at the Hilton. We were…read moregiven the wrong address...I was late for the appt but made it eventually...I don't speak Spanish so had to ask several other dentists close to Mega store where this was exactly... Then I show up and the Dentist, Perla Roche, who speaks good English...did not show up for the appointment, did not call but instead had a newer young male Dentist cover for her...who did not speak English (nor did the assistant)... and proceeded to clean my teeth, roughly for 10 minutes, no inspection, no flossing...and painful. Not adequate! I was promised digital dental xrays and this office was over priced to begin with...but they do not have the machine and did not include it in the price. The xray clinic was almost closed by the time I finished talking to Dr. Roche...at first she told the assistant she was not available. I persisted and she finally came on the phone. She offered to have the new dentist redo my cleaning and I refused! She then said she would not charge me. I left ...much delayed and disappointed and painful gums. The next day this dentist, calls my hotel to complain I that I left without paying...she told me directly I would not be charged. I do not recommend this business. Also, my time here is limited, I will not be able to get the xrays I was promised nor the proper cleaning. Shame on you Dr. Perla Roche...terrible service

Total extraction and implant (x4) = 25,825 pesos or ~$1,500 usd EACH Resin Filling for cavities (×7) = 1,780 pesos or ~$99 usd EACH Numbing for procedure = 1,000 pesos or ~$55 usd This location is ONLY certified to do cleanings, surface fillings and teeth whitening. ALL other dental work is outsourced to someone else (even xrays have to be done elsewhere). This is basically a sales office and tooth whitening clinic for tourists. We did get take their advice and get the 3D xrays FROM ANOTHER VENDOR; this place can only do small segment xrays (1 tooth at a time). 3D xrays from a different vendor are CASH ONLY and full 3D (top and bottom) = 1,600 pesos (~$90 usd). You get the xrays on a cd and can take it anywhere in the world *thumbs up* After getting a 2nd opinion from another well-known local dentist... They went over the 3D xrays tooth by tooth with us and found NOT 7 cavities, just 2. We found NOT 4 extractions + 4 implants; instead: 1 extraction, 1 crown replacement (cosmetic) and 2 root canal/crowns TOTAL. It's not a good sign when you hear that a place is NOT even certified to do all the work of a dentist, but instead call themselves a "dental spa". This place is is good for a chipped tooth and tooth whitening while in vacation (no wait), but you will be paying prices like home.

Dr Victor has done such a great job with my teeth!!!! I have an immune disorder (which affects my…read moreteeth) and an anxiety disorder- he has been so patient and understanding with me. I've been visiting him for over a year when my husband and I travel there. I've had EXTENSIVE work done, including implants, front veneers to look better- but needed also to repair that area, and an extraction. He is gentle, kind and very knowledgeable. He cares for his patients and his quality of work. He does a great job with keeping you numb and can use gas if needed. My only wish would be to add iv sedation as an option. I feel like his team could get more done faster (since I get so anxious) and I wouldn't need to be awake. The gas is tricky for me- I have a deviated septum so it's not as effective for me. But he goes out of his way to keep you as comfortable as possible. It's different than in California but well worth it. There is no way I could get this amount of work done at home due to price. Dr Victor has saved my teeth and I'm almost finished with catching up. One more visit in 6 months after adding one last needed implant this trip. But- at least I'm now at the point where I can be at a maintenance level (with exception of the one implant that is healing). I highly recommend!!!! I consider him very trustworthy and a friend now.

Upon arriving home to Canada from mexico, the first thing I did was remove my flipper tooth. The crown came out with it. I had to see 2 dentists to re apply the crown that fell off, and then get a denturist to create a new flipper tooth, as the new one didnt fit. Smile makeover made the customer experience as terrible as they could. The ensured I wouldnt be a future customer with their refusal to take reasonable responsibility for their work. Choose a dentist that stands behind their work and takes ownership for their mistakes. You are a fool if you still use this place after reading this.

Online research showed comparable and better service and prices in Cd Mx., and Cancun , Mx. a few online recommendations and TripAdvisor pointed me to Smile Makeover. Cost was 5000$ with iv sedation. Excellent service, and office. All other customers seem there were from US and Canada. Money well spent. Will be cancelling US dental Appt and dental insurance. Instead take dental vacays. Woo Hoo!
