Awesome crust on the blueberry pie. Ordering from G is never a disappointment!!!!!

Got a blueberry pie for Friendsgiving, the crust melted in your mouth. Ordering from G is never a disappointment!!!!!

    My six cookies

First, let me start by saying the cookies probably deserve 4 stars. They are pretty good. A little sweet, but the flavors are unique and tasty. The coffee is also very good. The interior is cute, especially considering what it looked like previously. The customer service was kind of shocking. I was helped by the female owner, I know this, as I've seen her picture in the media, and she just had no time for me. And I was one of two customers. I'm not sure if she was having a day or what, but it was 10:00 am. Customer service is vital in a small place like this, considering it's a less than ideal location to hang out. The owner barely acknowledged me when I entered, continued a personal conversation for a few minutes, finally comes up to me with a sigh and says "yes, what do you want?". I say 6 or 7 cookies. It ends up being 6 and she nastily goes "guess it was six then!!" With more sighs she asks "anything else?" Gives me the check, I pay, I don't tip for takeout and nasty service. I'm still smiling however and trying to be nice. She looks at the receipt, and tip line, rolls her eyes and says "alright, thanks" in an annoyed tone. Doesn't say come back or have a nice day. The cookies aren't good enough to come back. Might have if the service was welcoming and kind. Stay away and drive to a Schenectady bakery or better yet make your own Grandma's lemon cookies. They're probably cheaper and tastier.

The cookies were pleasant and moist, and the frosting was a great consistency.

I've supported Cravings for a long time, but after my recent experiences, I feel incredibly…read moredisappointed and disrespected as a customer. I tried one of the new $14 salads--no protein, just lettuce, a few veggies, and a so-called "homemade" Italian dressing. I genuinely enjoyed the dressing and asked for the recipe three times out of curiosity. On the third time, I was told she wouldn't share it--but would be willing to sell it to me. That response rubbed me the wrong way. In today's economy, that kind of cold and transactional reply from a small business I've supported feels off-putting and greedy. On top of that, I tried a "tiramisu cookie" that had no coffee flavor, no mascarpone, nothing that even remotely resembled tiramisu. It tasted like a plain sugar cookie, and honestly, it felt like false advertising. If you're going to market something as tiramisu, it should at least reflect the flavors of what you're promising. Between that and the secretive dressing situation, I can't help but question whether the dressing is even homemade--or if it's just bottled and marked up. These experiences have made me lose trust in the brand and what it claims to represent. I won't be returning.

Hands down greatest cinnamon roll in the capital region! We recently checked out the new location…read more The original location is adorable but the new one is much more accessible for a quick pop in. There was still a good selection of items later in the day and the cinnamon rolls easily held up until the next day. They reheat wonderfully! I can't imagine how spectacular they are fresh because even 2 days later they are delicious! The staff are always pleasant no matter the location as well.

I recently was able to go try out Leah's, FINALLY! It has taken me a while to get here, but I am so…read moreglad that I did. It was super cute inside! They do have tables to sit and eat at. I just wish that they had a few more as they were all occupied. It is a beautiful thing to have homemade pastry! I ordered the cinnamon bun, the eclair, the ham and Swiss roll, and the spanakopita turnover. Everything was delicious! My favorite thing was the eclair! It was by far the best declare that I've ever had in my life! And I just have to brag on it a little bit because the cream inside has real vanilla bean in it! It's not only real cream, but it's made with real vanilla bean! You can both taste it and see it in the cream once you bite into the eclair. This was just pure perfection. The least favorite thing that I had was the ham and Swiss roll. My only complaint about it really was that it was a little dry because it needed more Swiss cheese inside. It was still beautiful and flaky with a everything bagel seasoning on top and the ham was also good. Unfortunately, there was just no discernible cheese. So I missed that gooey melty center that I was looking for. I also ordered a chai latte, which they also sell as a iced latte option. It was super hot and tasted lovely! I told the girl at the register that this was my first time, she welcomed me, she answered all my questions and was super nice and accommodating. They ask you if your order is for here or to go and they offered to heat up your pastry for you either way if you were going to be eating it immediately. I thought this was a super kind and intuitive Service! See this is why I just love supporting local businesses. Many of the ones around here are top-notch and I would much rather support them than big conglomerates, monopolies and chains that don't care about their customers or quality products, they just care about profit. If you love, good pastry, then please come check out Leah's!
