My mom raved about this place so we went and ordered their Loaded naughty nachos - carne asada, Chicken affair tacos and Phoenix tacos - carne asada. The carne asada was seasoned well, topped with lettuce, onions and cotija cheese. The green salsa had a nice kick to it. I also had a few bites of the loaded nachos with guacamole and crema. Mom enjoyed her chicken tacos. Service was fast but friendly. As with the other stalls at the food court, you walk up and place order at the counter. Sister was given a buzzer to let us know when the order is ready for pick up. There are many chairs and tables cafeteria- style, they filled up pretty quickly since it was the weekend. I'd be back to try the other offerings on the menu.

Love this place so sad I am moving out of state. Will miss my twice a week meal. A wonderful experience getting to know the owners.

    Carne asada & shrimp salad

Super friendly service, we ordered a salad to share & it was the perfect size for two. The shrimp was seasoned well along with the guac added on top. Definitely a good quick lunch when at the mall.

    Another tasty lunch today

Been eating here weekly, my favorite S&M tacos regular Pico instead of the mango. But today I had a chance to try a mole taco. Enjoyed it a little too much. A bit different from my grandma's back in the late 60s but good. A hint of sweetness and tasty. I myself would want it a little spicier but I understand that might not work for the general population. I could have easily added a little of their salsa but I didn't want to interfere with the actual taste trying it for the first time. I wanted to give it the TRUE TASTE TEST ga ha ha. It passed! Great service every time. The guys are great and did a flour chip order couple weeks back, custom order that the wife loved after a year long craving. The guys Gilbert and Jose, the owners/operators go out of their way to please their customers. Wish all food places had this attitude towards their customers. 5 stars and a thumbs up!

This place is newly opened at Plaza West Covina's food court, and the storefront caught my attention. The lady at the front is friendly and didn't rush me as I looked through their menu which had a good variety of items. I ended up ordering the Pescatarian Affair (3 Tacos) - $9.50 and Chips & Salsa & Fountain Drink - $3.00. Very fair price for a good amount of food. The food was also delicious, and I found the naming of the food items pretty funny. The only critique I would have is that the food does a little time to make as they make it to-order. I'm confident their team will be able to meet demand as it grows though. Glad that there's another solid food option around!

Could not wait had to start smelled so good

Excellent service answering all questions giving all options at West Covina mall price is what you expect anywhere else. Food is very good reminds me of mom pop cooking taco truck feel in a sit down restaurant was impressed all around price quality and service

amazing food, great service. my mom and i were stopping by the area for the west covina pride festival. we arrived a bit late so there wasn't a ton of food options. venturing into the mall, we had to stop by the food court for some fixings. luckily g's taco spot on wheels opened up their restaurant after much excitement. the food is amazing and they have quite an eclectic menu. since it was almost closing time, they were only preparing nacho plates and burrito bowls. i opted for the carne asada burrito bowl and my mom had the asada nacho plate. first off, great service. i didn't get the name of the team member who helped us out, but they made sure we were aware of the ingredients and asked if we wanted to make and modifications. wonderful. they were also sooo happy to answer any questions we had. after ordering, food came out quite fast. after eating for a while they checked in on us if we wanted more napkins or salsas and if everything tasted ok, WOW! superb service. now the food, great big portions for great prices. one thing i noticed as well was the up charge for more premium proteins, like the shrimp, was only a dollar for the burrito bowl, that's less than panda! the ingredients were quite fresh, and i loooved the super fresh greens in my salad. my mom adored her nachos and said they passed the test. we loooved the food and the service was spectacular. i really recommend stopping in, i really see myself coming to the mall just to come here. they're also great for a meal break between shopping. i definitely recommend!!

Sassy sopes de asada & hibiscus water

You could never go wrong with tacos so when this spot opened up I knew I would be coming here quite often. Service has been amazing and as I am still going through the menu trying different items everything so far has been great. The sassy sopes have definitely been my favorite thus far. And the hibiscus water tastes so refreshing just completes the whole meal!

Chips perfectly cut to dip in their salsa cups! That's an attention to detail I appreciate.

G's Taco Spot on Wheels is a relatively new food court restaurant in Plaza West Covina. It stands out, considering the store front is build to look like a food truck! I ordered the al pastor combo burrito. The al pastor is made by grilling pork with onions until the onions carmellize. It slaps super hard! Staff was super friendly and patient with me, as I'm pretty indecisive. Also, I love that the chips were cut to the exact size of the salsa cups?? That's some care and love in the details, you know? One thing to know when you go, the TV screens up high have a scrolling menu, but if you look inside the food truck, they have a traditional board menu with item details. I didn't notice at first because I'm too tall I'd come to Plaza West Covina just for G's Taco Spot on Wheels

Located in West Covina mall food court, this was newly opened. There is a lot of parking in the lot since it's a mall. The service was great and the person taking the order was helpful. There were a lot of options on the menu so I would like to come back to try more items next time. The outside is a cool taco truck look on it. The menu is pretty large so there are plenty of options. Looking inside, the kitchen looks super clean and well maintained. The al pastor burrito was really delicious and pretty good size from what I took bites of. I also got a carne asada taco and pescatarian taco. They're on the smaller size but seasoned well. I djdnt like the carne asada too much but I enjoyed the fish one. Hope this helps :)

Waited for this place to open for a few years, worth it! Awesome food that tastes like mama's home cooking with a bit of LA's Mexican style taste! Excellent service, kind and sweet! Please don't be mean to them, they're awesome at what they do! And they're bilingual (English and Español) Nice design, gives it a radical taco truck feel and the glass ceiling of the food court gives it a nice ambiance! The Fish tacos are so good! Not greasy and taste so fresh! Quesadillas are the bomb! With many options for meats and sauces! The Greedy Dog is a must have! Beef sausage, classic mustard, ketchup, and mayo and finally onions and green peppers grilled to awesomeness! I'll post these pictures here of the menu too! Awesome 5/5 stars! :D

The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The torta is delicious, the chips are crunchy and the salsa is delicious and spicy. Can't wait to eat here again

First things first--Yum! I have to say, the service was fantastic. The staff provided us with a menu, and the person behind the counter was incredibly kind and informative. I loved that I could mix and match my tacos, all priced the same--three tacos for eight dollars, which is a great deal! The ambience was also quite nice. We received a beeper to let us know when our order was ready, so there was no need to stand in a long line waiting. We'll definitely be returning. Plus, we found out they cater events too! I'm excited to go back and try more items on their menu.

I was told it would be a 15-20 minute wait, which is usually how long I normally wait at Mi Hibachi. I told the cashier (owner) I'll go to the store real quick and be back. I returned at 6:25, and my order was still not ready. I thought to myself "hey, maybe they have a big order, let's give it a few more minutes." 6:30, nothing ready. 6:40, nope, my order is still not ready. I see the cooks going back and forth as if they're making a bunch of orders at one time. Okay, so where is my order? Do they not know how to prioritize orders? I am literally standing in front of them, in pouring rain, pissed the hell off. Annoyed is an understatement for how I felt. Finally, 6:52, my order is ready. I take my order home, and once I get home, hungry and ready to eat, guess what? I take one bite of the rice, and it's stale. As if the rice was reheated from the microwave. I've never had this issue until today. Did they see my annoyed face and think they had to rush my order even faster so I don't complain? Well guys, as a restaurant owner myself, this is not how you should do business. Learn to prioritize your orders, especially when there are customers waiting in front of you. 20 minutes turning into 40 minutes is absolutely ridiculous. Also, this is just a side note. DIABLO means SPICY, very very very very very spicy. Your diablo sauce literally tastes like sriracha, hummus, and mayo. Isn't spicy at all. I, as of today will no longer be supporting this business. I am now sitting at home, cooking myself my own steam rice, and pairing with the steak and shrimp I got from Mi Hibachi. Oh, and I also need to use Truff hot sauce cause this sauce ain't cutting it.
