I've been coming to the Guadalajara, now the "Margarita Factory" since they opened years ago. The food and customer service is unsurpassed by anything in the area. The staff are always friendly and on top of everything. The prices are high but you're paying for quality. Seriously, the best Margaritas you'll find in Cowlitz County. Really good Mexican food. Chips and salsa were great. The horchata was perfect and not overly sweet like some places. The matcho burrito with shredded beef was really big and could easily feed two people but tasted so good I almost finished it. Employees are really friendly and the atmosphere is nice. read more

It's terrible! Seriously, do yourself a favor, go across the river and eat in Rainier's lovely Mexican restaurant. We went here after friends telling us how great it was, tried for dinner. It was awful, the food was soggy, greasy, and bland. The portions were enormous, so that was one positive? Even a simple quesadilla is more reminiscent of Taco Bell.... Had high hopes. If I go back I'll definitely re-review, and if the experience is different up the stars. There is definitely plenty of parking, seemed good for big groups. read more

Wow! Stopped here on a whim because I drive by it almost every day and was very pleasantly surprised when I wasn't sure what to expect. This is an awesome Mexican restaurant! I walked in today for lunch, I was promptly seated. First thing I noticed was lucha wrestling from Mexico on the TVs in the bar. Awesome start. I ordered the Arroz Con Pollo and a side order of a taco. Holy cow, they do not mess around with the portions here, my plate was huge! The taco was awesome and I only managed to eat maybe a third of my main dish. The arroz con pollo was great and well made. I think I'll try the fajitas next time, they looked really good too. The service was great. The manager came to thank me and shake my hand after I complimented the food and the service. I was well taken care of here. My only two nitpicks are I felt it was a little pricey. Also, for some reason there was a door that opened every few minutes with an annoying computer voice and then would slam shaking the whole restaurant. But outside of those two nitpicky things, I thought everything was great. Definitely my favorite Mexican place I've discovered in the Longview/Kelso area. read more

Greasiest fajitas ever. It's almost as if the meat, onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes were boiled in oil. The "steak" used in the fajita boil was actually chopped meat like you would find in a burrito. No piece was larger than a fingernail. The ratio of chopped meat to greasy veggies was about 1:3. I am being generous with 2 stars because the wait staff was great and the flour tortillas seemed homemade. Based solely on our sad excuse for fajitas for two, it's only a one star. read more

The exterior is a little dodgy. Once inside it was good. Good Service! One of our party ordered red wine and was served a generous half glass of a huge wine glass. The food was good and when I ordered a fajita with no rice and beans the waitress offered to bring a salad instead. The salad was huge and I used the fajita mix on the salad instead of the tortillas. I came here with some friends and sat out on the patio- my only complaint is that there was no music playing in the patio so it was kind of awkward listening to the other patrons conversations. The service was good and the food was good- not great. We ordered the fajitas for two- huge portion. I think we could have just shared the fajitas for one! The only downfall of fajitas is that you can't really eat them unless you have tortillas- we waited about ten minutes for tortillas after our food came out. That was a painful wait. So if you just want a ton of food and you like that sort of thing, this could be a good spot for you. The only reason this restaurant has the good reviews it has is because it is in Longview a low culture town with an under educated palate. I waited 45 min for 4 fish tacos finally took them to go. They came with beans and rice the entire meal was stone cold cold and tasteless. I live 8 minutes from the restaurant. $20.00 with a 10% tip and I threw the whole thing in the garbage in spite of being hungry. If you are looking for more palatable food go the Taco Bell. I have came here several times over the years and I have always been miffed by people telling me how great Guadalajara is. My experiences have been less than expected. On previous trips I have had the seafood, steak Diablo , enchiladas, tacos and chile relleno . Today I went with a simple deluxe taco salad and a side of guacamole for the dipping chips. The guac and chips were ok. The salad arrived in a pool of reddish liquid. The waiter said it was the sauce they pour over the meat to flavor it. Anyways the bottom was all soggy. I ate the top parts of the salad and it was ok. Not much flavor. I think I would have preferred taco time . On a positive note the attendants did do a good job keeping chips coming and the water full. I will update in a couple years when I return again. read more

We made a reservation for a group of 20 on Mothers Day. I don't think they anticipated the volume of patrons that day as service was beyond slow. We had to wait over an hour for a high chair for our 15 month old. It took 45 minutes for a waiter to take our order and even then it was only because we complained. There was another 60 minute wait for dinner to arrive. We were all pretty upset. When we received our food, it was actually pretty tasty. We loved the Mexican guacamole. You can imagine though, that we complained. The manager sent us several desserts and also gave us a pretty generous gift card. Maybe next time around it will be a better experience. read more

Very unimpressed. Mango tango margarita was way too sweet. Needed more lime juice or acid of some sort. Took over half an hour to get appetizer that was hard, dry, and lacked flavor. Carne asada was burnt and again lacked flavor and seasoning. Beans and rice completely flavorless. $55 for a margarita, one small appetizer and one dinner. Salsa was good.
