Taco de Barria, Consome, and Quesabarria
Kristie S.

Yes my husband and I finally get to try this place! Let's start off with parking and location. Parking is a plaza parking lot sharing spaces with Big Foot Java, Goodwill and some other businesses. The location for the delicious taco de barria is to the right of the market. Now let's get to business. The reason why we came.. tacos! Everything on the menu look so good we wanted to try them all! However, we decided on ordering quesabirria, taco de barria, and consome. The food came out in a timely manner and was pipping hot so I knew everything was made to order. Hands down one of the best taco experiences I ever had. We will definitely be back. And can't wait to try some other delicious foods on the menu.

Tacos De Birria & Consome

Inside this market there's this taco dine in place lowkey at the side of the building called Birreria Tijuana (they have their own main entrance) so don't go inside the market! It was my first time here an wow the tacos were amazing! I got the crunchy tacos shredded beef which was the only meat option they had. You could either get a crunchy or soft taco. On the side I also order consome which had beef inside it also. It's a soup and you can eat that by itself but most ppl like to dip the tacos into the consome and wow let me tell you... by far this is the best tacos i've ever tried! The caramelized onions were soo good too! Everything was marinated well and so flavorful. The only thing that i wish they had was the little mini trays like they have at other places where you can put your cilantro, limes, pico, etc. At this place it's quite different, they use aluminum foil to grab your sides. But either way who cares!!! It's really delicious.

I came here few times and fun to look around. You can not see prices sometimes but most of items are very reasonable. You can get avocados that are ripe!!!! $1.59/each. Bakeries are big sizes and $1.59 each. Look very nice but sometimes taste very similar and dry cookies and breads. I picked 2 items and one is like a corn pudding, another one like a rum raisin bread pudding.....both of good! Taste like eggs pudding with Raisins and corn bread pudding. I wanna try some Mexican food inside the store next time!

I ordered a 80$ cake & this is what I got. Not only was the lettering bad but the customer service was horrible. I do not recommend this place for cakes!

Market value fiesta a la belly. Previously a ghost town shop for specializing mexi meal that is often overshadowed by it's italian neighbor, Guadalupe puts a dent in the marketshare rallying it's country with flavorful offers. It is a sunday showdown for seats as buffett simulations are realistic and people physics are in effect. When it comes to first impressions, burritoes are like a handshake, they are expected to be warm, tightly wrapped around your five finger death punchers, and leave your belly floppers with a positive growl of approval. Despite longer than expected orders, the chow chow sounds produced minimal decibels thanks to it's soft beefs, and a silent lunch was in effect. It was a quick burrito burial twelve inches deep into my honor depths where it died a slow delicious death, to delay my own death.

Simply amazingly. The meat is super tender and juicy. The salsas are fresh and they also come with onions and cilantros. Very filling as well. Two tacos was more than enough but saved the third for later and it was just as good later. Definitely recommend. Also get the consume to dip the tacos in.

This place is the bomb. Didn't shop at the market, but ate at the Birrieria Tijuana . Owner was super awesome and the food was to die for!! If you want authentic mexican. We had the tacos dorados, consome, mulitas, and torts birria.

Get the tacos dorados and consome!!! Amazing taqueria inside this market. They hook it up with the meat and the service is excellent! We knew this place was going to be good because it was super busy. If you want to dine in grab a seat or if you want to order to go, you just fall in line. They have melon agua fresca which is bomb bomb!

Bolio is so fresh - we bought loaves that lasted all week & still tasted fresh towards the very end.

I finally made it to Birrieria Tijuana and WOW... I'm honestly mad I didn't come sooner…read more The birria caldo was absolutely amazing - rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with a homemade taste that you just can't fake. You can tell it's made with love and tradition. The meat was tender, juicy, and soaked up all that deep, savory broth in the best way possible. On top of that, the customer service was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It really felt like one of those hidden gems where the food AND the people both stand out. If you're anywhere near Burien and craving birria. don't think twice. This place is it I can't wait to try more items on their extensive menu! They also have a dessert place adjacent.

The chips were fried fresh and were so hot, I had to wait to eat it. They were crunchy and perfectly fried. The bean dip was delicious and smooth sprinkled with cotija cheese. The tacos were delicious and crunchy and had a good amount of meat and cheese in it. The consome was okay. It was flavorful, but needed more salt. It was a great way to eat the tacos though! The service was great! Took my order right away and answered questions I had. She then brought out the food for me.

Good Mexican restaurant in West Seattle…read more Ordered carne asada specialty platter. Definitely big enough for two if you aren't crazy hungry Very authentic. Wife loved it Definitely expected more affordable pricing for location but the actual dish itself was nicely done. Would recommend if you are in the neighborhood and will go back again for another dish in the future to try more of their food.

El Catrin has become a favorite Mexican restaurant of ours for this part of Seattle. What grabbed…read moreour attention with it was that they serve Huitlacoche which I'd a corn fungus which is a delicacy in Mexico and Central America. It's something that is pretty rare to find with all of the Mexican restaurants I have been to El Catrin is the only one where it has been found. We had it on the side with rice, lettuce and tomato. The flavor for it is mushroom like with a sweet, savory, woody and smoky flavor that is corn like. It was very unique and delicious! In addition to that we got some totally awesome nachos which out of this world! We made a second trip back here and I got their Chile Relleno which totally blew me away! It was fabulous! The tortillas that came with it were simply marvelous! Steve got an excellent quesadilla! The wait may be a tad long but it's so worth waiting for. I really can't praise the food enough! We are located in Tacoma and El Catrin is in an unincorporated Seattle neighborhood and so the drive is at least half an hour on a good day but we wouldn't hesitate in making a trip up here just for this restaurant! I can't say that for many restaurants but I certainly would with El Catrin. Fresh, flavorful and a sheer delight we will be coming here with any opportunity we can seize!
