I love Asian markets! I was in West Seattle, and needed to grocery shop, and came across this place. If you compare it to 99 Ranch, this place is small. I usually shop at Chinese markets, and being Chinese, I know more about Chinese products. I don't know much about Vietnamese products. So a lot of the snacks were foreign to me. I did find some rice crackers I like though! I bought: - persimmons - small yams - udon noodles - rice crackers The price of produce is just ok, not the cheapest out there, but decent.

I was just in the area and noticed this place seemed somewhat new. Lots of interesting asian foodie things you can find here. The deli section kind of reminds me of Lotus in Renton Highlands. It's modestly decorated/organized. The evenly spaced wall banners along the back are cool. There's an entire aisle dedicated to hispanic food stuffs which is probably meant to cater to the hispanic population in White Center. I really liked the Vietnamese snacks I got, which aren't even all that junk-y at all, as far as snacks go. There's a couple things more I'd check out when I'm back in the area. And those baskets... genius!

Kell: Came here today to buy some groceries for my husband and I steak night, I went to this store knowing they have some decent prices for meat and shrimp but wasn't so sure about the other products so much. I knew my husband was craving something sweet on the side. I wanted to get fresh fruits but they didn't have a very big selection on fresh fruits, more so just bananas. Mind you I've noticed there's a lot of flies in this market. Somewhat bothers me esp since it's mostly on the onions (which I mostly needed for the steak, end up going to qfc for onions, & fruits). Any whom, I've came along the canned fruits and spotted a can of lychee I wanted my husband to try out. Came home, opened the can of lychee and spotted these grey little weird things in the syrup, and on the lychee, I grabbed one to look closely if it was a mold and oh my goodness it was a weird baby fish looking thing I showed my husband and looked at me wish disgust and was happy I had my 20/20 vision glasses on. I would've fed this to my husband and my family not knowing what would've been happening to our stomach. The steak on the other hand is good. Meat wrapped and secure is a bonus but I hope nothings wrong with it since it's so cheap.

These asian cashiers are so rude. No thank you for shopping here and not even a smile. I guess if it's privately owned they don't care.

What immediately caught our attention (for obvious reasons) was the bold sign: LIVE KING CRAB. We walked in and were instantly impressed. Large water tanks filled with live Dungeness crab and live king crab, crystal-clear water, and absolutely no fishy smell--always an excellent sign. The space feels more like a clean, well-run warehouse set up for both wholesale and retail, not a typical seafood market. A gentleman working there quickly came over and started chatting with us about crab. Super knowledgeable and friendly. They offer a wide selection: live, fresh, and frozen crab, Japanese scallops, fish, and a variety of shellfish. We considered the live king crab, but it was honestly too big for the two of us to handle in a hotel kitchen--and definitely would've been a splurge. So, plan B: I called my sister-in-law to see if she'd like some frozen king crab legs. She said yes immediately. The gentleman showed us the frozen options, and the king crab legs were long, meaty, and impressive--similar in size to what Costco carries, but priced better. We ended up negotiating a great deal and purchased a box of their Party Pack King Jumbo Crab Legs for her. Later that evening, she surprised her daughter with a king crab birthday dinner, and they reported the legs were super meaty and absolutely delicious. Safe to say, we'll definitely keep Seattle Seafood Center in mind for future seafood splurges. If you love high-quality seafood and especially crab, this place is worth a stop--even if it's an unplanned one.

They said they have live eel sometimes as well but they didn't have it on the day I went. We ended up buying 10 large dungeness crab and 2 pounds of live spot prawns for just under $200- DEALS!!! Don't forget to bring cash! If you forget, you can go across the street to the gas station and pull out cash with a $3.50 fee. We drove down from Edmonds, and the drive was worth it!

She said they just arrived yesterday and they're fresh. But when I got home and started cooking, there was so much water in the legs. I already knew it means the crab has been sitting in the water tank for a long time. When it's fully cooked, the meat is about half the size of the leg. I called back to the shop and the owner continues to lie and said they got the crab fresh this morning and then literally hung up on me without giving me a chance to say anything. I dialed back and it wasn't even going through so I know she must've blocked my number. TLDR: SCAM OWNER. DO NOT COME.

The fish here tastes and smells like the high quality, flavorful, well-made stuff it is. The fish looks beautiful too. They let us try the regular smoked salmon, the garlic, and the candied. All superb. Be warned the candied stuff - heck, all of them are addicting. The cost may seem high, but it is completely justified. You aren't getting bottom of the barrel keta (translated from native tongue to "dog") fish or "pink" salmon (only 1 tier up), you're getting fresh fish. There was no hint of gross "fishy" smell before or after eating. (To make your salmon last longer, may I suggest enjoying your salmon with rice and veggies, or in a sandwich?) They also sell high quality pork, beef, chicken, and other things in the freezer like sausage, duck, cheese. They also have pretty nicely priced wines for sale, from low $10s and up. Whites, reds, and bubblies. Highly recommend you make the side-tour to this joint for salmon. A fish dressed to impress that will win you praises.
