My fiancée and I had this place in our bucket list to try. Trying new pizza joints is our thing. This place is very small and has very limited seating so get here early or come here on a weekday. They do not take reservations, they have a walk up window to order slices, drinks, pickup, and they offer take out (do not deliver). So the inside is bar style with very few tables. I love the divey feel to this place. All pizzas are New York Style, offered by the slice, 12 inch and 18 inch, specialty pizzas and build your own. Only dietary restrictions is the cauliflower crust but not gluten free. The menu is simple which offers one appetizer (meatball), salads, dessert which is soft serve ice cream and homemade chocolate chip cookies. The drink menu is also simple. Craft beer, a couple of beers on tap, specialty cocktails and wine. We ordered: Drinks: -Cappone chianti, tuscany, italy -Willajory pinot noir, willamette valley, oregon -Other Half Brewing Forever Ever hazy double dry hopped IPA Dinner: 18" inch build your own pizza (sausage & mushrooms. There was a wait for our pizza since we dined in on a Friday night. They were slammed. It was worth it! The pizza was dead on New York style with great flavor. When the crust doesn't need dipping sauce and taste good alone, you know they've done their job right. Amazing! Paired really well with my wines. Even my fiancée enjoyed his slices with his beer. service was fast and friendly, salad came out quickly and was amazing! i love the croutons, the pizza took quite a while and was a little slow to come out and was also not "hot" was able to immediately take a bit which was surprising. it also didnt have a great under carriage, flopped over and half ingredients fell off before i could take the first bite, sadly disappointing. not sure if i had high expectations or this was a rare instance but i wasnt very impressed. although the service was great and the ambiance was pleasant the food just wasnt that great. the mini ice cream was a great addition to finish off the meal though. update: after posting this review, the owner personally reached out to apologize for the experience, refunded our meal, and invited us back. I genuinely appreciate that level of customer service and accountability. while my original experience wasn't what I had hoped for, the response from ownership was exceptional and shows they care about guest feedback. read more

I ordered pick-up from here last week. We got a build your own with mushrooms, onions, black olives, and pepperoni on top. They were super easy to order from which was really great. The pizza was hot and ready when we picked it up and was ready in about 1.5 hours. It was a bit long but understandable for a weekend night. All that to say, it was delicious! The pizza was cheesy and flavorful, and the crust was soo perfect. I can't wait to go in person next time and get more from their large menu. read more

Glad I'm finally getting around to reviewing this place. We've been grabbing slices and to-go pizzas from here for a while but today was the first time dining in. It's a small place! Plenty of bar seating about 3.5 tables in the back. I believe it's first come first serve. Service was great! Employees are super friendly and chill. We had the chicken bacon ranch pizza, which has pretty much become our favorite. The balance of flavors from the bacon to the ranch is amazingly good. They do it well. We've had the burrata too and I like that one a lot. Parking is not plentiful in the square so you may need to hunt around. I have had Guardia pizza and bar on my bucket list of places to try for a little while now. I am excited that I was finally able to and that it lived up to my hopes and expectations. I ordered a large burrata pizza for carryout. I knew it was going to be big, but I was actually shocked when I picked up the pizza just how large the box was. It was so big, in fact, that I was able to wrap a few pieces up and freeze them for later. The pizza was really tasty and I would gobble it up again in a heartbeat. I also ordered a side of ranch, which was a dollar for a small cup, but it was clearly homemade and really did add to the meal. The staff were really kind! Parking can be a little tricky because Mount Lookout Square tends to be high traffic. However, I parked in the parking lot in the center of the Square on a Wednesday early evening, and had no issues. read more

Any time a new New York style pizza place opens up in our area, you know my fiancee and I are gonna check it out. Especially with this one being so close to our home we definitely had to go. They also have a window where you can get pizza by the slice or a tasty dessert to go. My lady and I started with a couple drinks; Cappone chianti for her, Other Half Forever Ever IPA for me. For our pizza, we ordered an 18" with sausage and mushrooms. Even though they were busy, we didn't wait long at all, and the pizza was truly delicious. This is NY style done RIGHT! Maybe I'm bias but everything the Delwood and Parkside teams touch is just perfection! But really you have to go and check out Guardia, because you won't be disappointed. It's a smaller location so there are limit seats, but lucky for us takeout and orders by the slice are all options. We lucked out and got a table! Then grabbed drinks, since they have a full bar. From there we went in for the Guardia Salad as a starter and ordered a half Buratta and half pepperoni pizza. The best pizza in Cincinnati. Owned by the same owners as Delwood and Parkside, Guardia is in the square of Mt. Lookout right enxt to Delwood. This very small, and quaint bar (all seating is at the bar, or they have 2 or 3 small tables in the back) is home to amazing staff that work so well together int he small space, pizza by the pie or pizza by the slice, fresh salads that can be split into 2, and meatballs by the ball haha! I love that you can just go here and order just a slice of pizza, maybe hang out for a little bit, and if you are a little hungry later you can just order a quick meatball. We both had pizza and my sister-in-law also had a salad. It is located in Mount Lookout Square. When you go in there is only three or four tables toward the back of the restaurant to sit. Let's talk customer service, I'd give the owner 10 stars if Yelp would let me. My husband came last Friday to pick up our online order. One of our pizzas was wrong, not a big deal but it was for our kids and they wouldn't have eaten the wrong one. The owner was SOOO nice to my husband about it! They remade the pizza in a hurry, let us keep the wrong one, AND gifted my husband a gift card for next time! Customers for life! We will always eat here.
